00:00Hi Sadlers fans, I'm inside the best Scott where Walsall have managed to salvage a 2-2 draw against Harrogate Town after Liam Gordon produced a late equaliser for the Sadlers but it was not enough to prevent them from sliding out of the automatic promotion spots for the first time since losing 1-0 against MK Dons on September the 7th and it was a game Walsall really needed to win.
00:29It's now extended their winless run to 11 games and it's just two wins in the last 18. Matt Sadler made four changes from the team which began their 2-0 defeat at Barrow last weekend.
00:42Harry Williams was brought back into the team as Donovan Daniels dropped to the bench. George Hall was handed his first start since December the 7th in the 1-0 win at Port Vale which was when Walsall went top of the table.
00:59And it feels like a very long time ago now. Elsewhere Ryan Sturk was recalled as was David DiCaprio. Osham McKenzie wasn't involved so I'll ask Matt Sadler about that and the reason why in the post-match press conference in just a moment.
01:13And yeah Walsall made the stronger start. First 20 minutes it was pretty much one way traffic to be honest and they were rewarded for that when Ellis Harrison slotted the ball into the path of Connor Barrett and his effort took a telling deflection of Anthony O'Connor who was awarded with the own goal.
01:32And then Harry got equalised against the run of play at Tommy Simpkin and made a good save after Daly had hit the post. He then sprang to his feet to deny Ellis Taylor and on the follow-up Josh March fired a stunning volley from an acute angle into the far top corner.
01:52And Walsall just crumbled from that point onwards and just seemed to lose the belief that was in their play for the first 20 minutes. Very loose and a lot of frustration started to creep in from the fans and among the team.
02:05And then yeah the second half very little improved to be honest and they were punished for that when Ellis Taylor's effort from a long throw Walsall failed to clear the lines and Ellis Taylor's effort deflected beyond the reach of Tommy Simpkin.
02:22Matt Sadler then made a triple change with Nathan Simway, Albert Hedoma and Alfie Chang coming on. Levi Mantra come on just before that and things improved and Walsall piled on the pressure in the latter stages and Liam Gordon placed his finish into the far bottom corner to make it 2-2.
02:41Walsall in the four minutes of stoppage time pushed for a winner but the closest they came was when Taylor Allen's effort deflected straight into the grasp of James Bauschel.
