00:00A dog was ejected from a car during a crash the other day.
00:10They were really worried they'd never see their dog again.
00:13A two-year-old border collie.
00:14Turns out he found a sheep farm and was herding sheep.
00:18Oh my God, he loved his life.
00:21He was loving lies.
00:22He's like, ah!
00:23This is what I feel like I was born for.
00:26Oh my God, sheep.
00:28That's awesome.
00:30Go this way.
00:32Let's everybody move over here.
00:35Here's the story from KHQ TV.
00:39Take a listen.
00:41Well, Tilly, named after the former Gonzaga basketball player Killian Tilly,
00:46is a two-year-old border collie mix who was ejected from a car during a crash on Sunday.
00:51His owners thought, well, they'd never see him again.
00:54But today, Tilly was reunited with his family, Linda and Mike Oswalt.
00:58It's like an end to a nightmare.
01:02This reunion is one that Tilly's owners thought may never happen.
01:06Every night when I'd come home, I'd go, we're never seeing him again.
01:10We're just never seeing him.
01:12You know, he's long gone.
01:14And despite flyers posted all over, including one on the KHQ Facebook page, no luck.
01:20And then, on the North Idaho news page, this from Travis Potter.
01:25My grandma, she actually lives in Southern California, and she found the post, and she sent that to me.
01:30And I told her, yeah, we'll keep our eye out for him.
01:33And, well, this morning, I was just doing some chores around the farm, and my brother calls me.
01:38And he's like, hey, there's this dog over here in the sheep's chute.
01:41The sheep were getting scared.
01:42Like, he's running out here.
01:44Our dogs were all, like, freaking out.
01:45Potter did keep his eye out and soon discovered Tilly on the ranch doing something rooted deeply in his DNA.
01:54Tilly, a border collie mix, was herding sheep.
01:58The Potters lured Tilly out of the sheep pen with something every dog loves, some salami.
02:03You want your ball?
02:04And for the Oswalds, seeing social media work this way was something special.
02:09You just don't realize how many people are out there,
02:13and how many people, you know, are looking at it.
02:18And we wouldn't have him if it wasn't for social media.
02:22Life's so boring now.
02:23I was going to say, that's why I was like.
02:25Back to the old people in the ball.
02:26Where's the sheep?
02:27The old people in the ball.
02:30The old people in the ball.
02:33Well, that's why I said poor Tilly right off the bat.
02:36I was like, oh, no.
02:38They're a thousand.
02:40They're a thousand years old.
02:41He got salami and run up with sheep.
02:44I guess where I thought this was going to go is that it was ejected,
02:49and then a lot of time passed, and someone found him and turned him into a sheep dog.
02:54No, but that's the crazy part.
02:56It was just two days.
02:57They've had this dog as a puppy, but it's in his DNA to herd sheep.
03:02That's the crazy, weird part of it all.
03:05He just knows that's what he should be doing.
03:07Yeah.
03:07He's like, you guys took off, and I got a job.
03:10What do you expect?
03:11I moved out.
03:13Flew out of your magic machine, you have.
03:16Magic machine.
03:18Right?
03:18You probably thought he died and went to heaven.
03:19It's doggy heaven.
03:20I mean, doggy heaven.
03:21I flew out of your weird magic machine, and then I got a job.
03:26What do you expect?
03:27You probably jumped out of there.
03:29Yeah, exactly.
03:30Look at this ball and these old folks.
03:32Jesus.
03:33It's my time to break free.
03:35He's like, boy, I love slow walks and everything, but I was living on a giant farm with these creatures.
03:45I was running that crap.
03:47They go to bed at 6 p.m.
03:51He's like, oh, they found me.
03:53He's like, no.
03:54Great.
03:54He puts on a disguise.
03:56He's like, maybe they won't recognize me with this collar on.
04:00It's definitely not me.
04:02He won't look right at them.
04:04Oh, no.
04:05Here they come.
04:07Oh, man.
04:07Great.
04:08We're going to just sit on the porch again.
04:09It was a good dog, though.
04:10Like, you could tell it was really well trained.
04:12Absolutely, it was.
04:13And two years old, so still really young.
04:16I do love that dogs have jobs that are in their DNA.
04:18Yeah.
04:19Like, that's great to me.
04:21Yeah.
04:21It's also so crazy.
04:23Yeah, it is.
04:23You know, they just grow up.
04:25They get mad if they, like, Tilly's probably like, my life sucks.
04:28I have no purpose.
04:30These old people.
04:31They do.
04:31They need jobs.
04:31They do.
04:32They need jobs.
04:32He's like, I'm depressed.
04:34Yeah.
04:34Oh, my God.
04:35I just learned cheap.
04:37The Hershey just locks himself in rooms.
04:39Yeah.
04:40He's like, I'm a duck dog, but I hate the water.
04:42So, I guess I'm going to lock myself in a pantry and just eat pizza.
04:49That's his life.
04:50He eats his feelings.
04:51That's it.
04:51He eats his feelings.
04:53I'm really super sad, guys.
04:56Both of my legs are screwed up.
04:59You know, what do you want?
05:01I'm a duck dog and I hate the water.
05:02I'm a duck dog.
05:03I hate the water.
05:05I don't even care about ducks.
05:07There was some in the backyard one time.
05:10I didn't even care.
05:15Meanwhile, Little Jameson thinks he's King Crusher, right?
05:18Yeah, yeah.
05:18You miss Hattie's walking into a room like this.
05:22Yeah.
05:22Hattie's little 14 pounds with a bow tie on.
05:25Yeah.
05:28Not exactly freaking anyone out.
05:30Let me tell you.
05:30Oh, poor dogs.
05:31Not living the life they could.
05:34Yeah, we choose their life.
05:35Yeah, we do.
05:36We take good care of them, though.
05:37We do.
05:37They give a nice little pampered life.
05:40We, we, we, we, we, we.
05:41Yeah.
05:41Yeah.
05:41Yeah.
05:42We will be here.
05:42Oh, poor dogs.
05:43We, we, we, we, we're just, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we,
05:55we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, .
06:01We, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we.
