00:04Going to school here, it's like you become part of the entire family.
00:08Let's face it, most people don't like their jobs.
00:10But most people don't do anything about it, and these students are doing something about it.

00:18You've got equipment in your hands, and you're doing things like that that are going to help you in your career.

00:38Let's give it up for our first ant.
00:45Hi, hi everybody.

00:47I bet you think that catching ants is very easy, but I'll tell you what, it's not easy.

01:50Jewhorn was kinda hot, though.

03:35And I think they kind of oversaturated the market because they had a Guitar Hero.
03:37And they had Guitar Hero 2.
03:38And they had Guitar Hero 3.
03:40And they had the 80s version.
03:41And they had, like, the Beatles.
03:42And then they had Green Day.
03:43And then they had all the other bands were doing Guitar Heroes.
03:45And all of a sudden, they're not around anymore.
03:47But then they're back with Guitar Hero Live.
03:49And I should tell you, I never played a single one of those Guitar Hero games.

03:54I've played every single one.
03:56So this is the first time I've actually played a Guitar Hero game ever.
04:01And it showed.
04:02So they revamped the controller.
04:04It used to have five keys with different colors.
04:06Now you have six keys that are, like, situated, you know, two rows with three columns.
04:11And you play it accordingly like that.
04:13It's more like a guitar, right?
04:15Yeah.
04:16Because you have to push a bottom key and then maybe two top keys.
04:18Yeah.
04:19And from what I've read, people complained that Guitar Hero wasn't enough to like playing
04:23a guitar.
04:23So they came up with it this way.
04:25Then they could see more like you're playing a guitar.
04:26Here's the thing.
04:28Guys that play guitars are already getting babes, okay?
04:31All you've got to do is pull out a guitar and show them what you can do.
04:33And you can get chicks.
04:34Nerds like me, I've got to take a chick home and be like, you want to see me play guitar?
04:38And they play Guitar Hero.
04:39Yeah.
04:39So if I'm not getting the high score because it's harder, because it's more like playing
04:42a real guitar, it doesn't do me any good.
04:44And I'm not coming down to your local gig and saying, hey, you're not playing guitar
04:47right, but you're coming over to my place and destroying my chances.
04:50I did so poorly, the whole band was furious at me.

04:53And that's the one thing.
04:54So they have two different modes that you play.
04:56So you can play, like, Guitar Hero Live, or you can play Guitar Hero TV, which is like
05:00you're playing along the music video.
05:02Live is they simulate like a concert.
05:04Like you're actually in a band and you're performing.
05:07But here's the thing, okay?
05:08When you start doing bad, everybody turns around.
05:10Yeah, the whole crowd.
05:11The crowd, your bandmates, everybody.
05:13And I'm going to tell you right now, if there's one thing that sucks if you're in a band and
05:18you're not playing very well, is when the fan turns around and starts giving you s***
05:21about how bad you are, okay?
05:24And they do.
05:24Yeah.
05:25It wasn't my choice to cover One Direction.
05:26It's not my fault I'm not playing One Direction, right?
05:29I didn't choose One Direction.
05:30And you know what's not going to make me play any better?
05:32Is having the drummer give me the finger and tell me how much I suck.
05:34Yeah, one of the problems too, like it picked, like listen, I didn't make it very far in
05:40this game, okay?
05:41I played like three live shows and out of the whole live shows, I think I thought one song
05:47was okay.
05:48So that was a problem for me, because I was like, I don't want to play Fall Out Boy.
05:53So like when I'm playing on stage, live, and I'm doing real bad, and the band's looking
05:58at me, and they give me the finger and the phone and stuff at me, I just want that band
06:05to know, I am not above packing up my tiny classical guitar and starting my own band.
06:11That's true.
06:12So go on there!
06:13Yeah, he quit the band.

06:15You know how easy I can quit?
06:17I quit it up and I can just go, boop!

06:22Until you play the songs, you can't unlock them, right?
06:25At least that's what it seemed like.
06:27You had to do the live thing to go forward.
06:30I eventually ended up playing the game without using these on a setting where you just have
06:35to flip that.
06:37The basic?

06:39That's what I did just to get through this madness.
06:42I hated it so much that I was just like, okay.
06:46I thought it was a blast.
06:47I loved it.
06:48I got totally burned out on Guitar Hero in the past, on when it came back now.
06:52I was like, yeah, I'll give it a whirl.
06:54And I had a blast.
06:54I love it.
06:55They have the live mode where you pretend like you're playing a concert.
06:57And then they have the Guitar Hero TV mode, which has two channels.
07:01So you can choose which channel you want to play.
07:02Sometimes they have heavy metal.
07:03Sometimes they have indie rock.
07:04And they pretty much take a collection of new songs and a collection of all the old songs
07:08they've had on previous Guitar Hero.
07:09And you actually play along to music videos.
07:11It's legitimately like MTV when MTV was cool.
07:14There's music videos.
07:15There's no TJ Laban pouring liquor down bro dudes' throats to make them fight for reality
07:20TV.
07:21There's no Situation.
07:22There's no Jersey Shore.
07:23It's straight up music videos.
07:25And you get to play along.
07:26And I loved it.
07:27To me, it was a blast.
07:28Right.
07:28This is not going to get you big.
07:30Well, if you're in this attire, then you get all the bigs you want.
07:33At least in the riff hallway, you get a lot of bigs.

07:38The navigation, to get through, to find the difficulty settings and to find how to go into
07:43the live mode, how to go into the Guitar Hero TV mode.
07:47I feel like it was really hard and real clunky to try to navigate through.
07:50In the past, other Guitar Hero games, I thought it was much easier to get where you need to go
07:54and set your level of, of, of, like, difficult.
07:57I had no idea how to get around.
08:00Uh, at the beginning, they ask you a bunch of questions, like, what hand do you want to
08:04play the guitar and all that stuff.
08:06And I was like, what am I supposed to, how do I select the.
08:10So you can see how you stack up against the rest of the world.
08:13Could you imagine how bad I would have looked taking on anyone from anywhere around the world
08:17when I could not strum in basic mode?
08:21I mean, that's why I stayed away from it.
08:23I was like, I am not going to embarrass myself in front of an eight-year-old child
08:27who will shred some song on this controller that I can't even get the basic strumming right.
08:33If you can't get the strumming down, I'm sure there's four-year-old children that were playing the game.
08:37Yeah, they were.
08:38If you're a fan of Guitar Hero, I think you're going to love this game.
08:42You're going to nitpick at probably some of the changes, but generally you're going to like it.
08:47If you're like me and you didn't like the idea of Guitar Hero in the first place,
08:52it's not going to like change your mind and say, wow, I'm a huge Guitar Hero fan.
08:56Yeah, and the changes in the controls to me aren't to the point where you're like,
08:59I'm really playing a guitar.
