00:00A revolution is a dramatic and wide-reaching change in the way that something works.
00:04At Spexhoward School of Media Arts, we've been an active part of the media revolution for over 45 years.
00:10Even today, with our hybrid courses in graphic design, digital, or broadcast media arts,
00:14we recognize that not all of your time can be spent in the classroom.
00:18That's why our 12-month program requires only two days a week on campus,
00:22during the day or at night, and the rest is completed at home.
00:24Digital media is taking over, and whatever your passion may be,
00:28you can be a part of the revolution.
00:30Okay.
00:33Oh, dude, his fly's totally down.
00:35No, it's not.
00:37It is.
00:39Dude, that looks awesome.
00:40Oh, it's perfect.
00:41Great job, Jew.
00:42Uh-oh.
00:44The bomb line.
00:45The bomb line?
00:46Hello?
00:49Okay, we got this.
00:51James, a sick son of a bitch just dropped a bomb at the Rift.
00:54We gotta go defuse this bomb.
00:55Let's do it.
00:56Move out.
00:57Suit up.
01:00Somebody called about a bomb?
01:13You guys need to go check that out.
01:15Oh, my God, it's Rift Rockville, Kayla.
01:24Oh, she's the one who dropped the bomb.
01:26James, I'm in position.
01:27Oh, you're in position.
01:28Okay.
01:29Describe what you're seeing.
01:30Oh, my.
01:31I don't know.
01:32I haven't seen one of these in years.
01:35It's got some flaps.
01:36Flaps.
01:36Okay, big flaps, little flaps.
01:38No, like medium flaps.
01:40Okay, flaps.
01:41Okay.
01:41I don't see a button anywhere.
01:43I've never been able to find the button.
01:45I don't know what I'm doing, James.
01:47What else?
01:48Do you see anything else?
01:49There's another button.
01:50Another button?
01:51It's brown.
01:53The brown button?
01:54Yeah.
01:54Okay, Jesse.
01:55I don't think I should go near it.
01:57There's no wires on it, but...
01:59Well, it's really hairy.
02:02Okay, James, I'm really poking it.
02:05Am I going to die, James?
02:07I might have to come in and take a look at that.
02:09Five, four, three, two, one.
02:14Hey, what's up?
02:36It is James and Chuck the Freak, of course from Dave and Chuck the Freak, and two guys, one
02:41video game, this time we're going to review Keep Talking, and Nobody Explodes.
02:49Had to get that correct.
02:50What it is, what's a PC game that's available to play on Steam?
02:54Is that what it's called?
02:54Steam, yep, Steam.
02:55On Steam, you can download it onto a Mac and on PC, but essentially what it is, it's a puzzle
03:00game.
03:00It's a two-player puzzle game where you have to defuse a bomb, but in order to defuse the
03:04bomb, you have three to six or even maybe more little mini puzzles that you have to solve.
03:09But now the catch is only one person can see the bomb and the puzzles, and the other person
03:15can only see the bomb defusing a manual.
03:20So then you guys have to communicate amongst yourselves to describe the bomb, describe the
03:25puzzle, and then the other person has to take that information from the person who sees the
03:29bomb and use that to navigate them through the puzzles and the mazes and the different
03:33things to actually defuse the bomb.
03:35Which is way harder than you could ever imagine.
03:40You know, we've played it a few times now, and James seemed to be much better at the actual
03:46reading of information and translating it to me than I was, because I was like getting
03:52us blown up countless numbers of times, because I was like, I don't know, it's red wire, and
03:59when you had the manual, we definitely blew up way more times than when I had the manual.
04:04So, but it's difficult, because the puzzles are, I think when you first start playing, you're
04:09not familiar with the puzzle, you don't really know exactly what's going to happen, and you
04:14don't really know where to look in the manual.
04:16It's not like all spelled out to you, it's more like, here's the concept, here's the game,
04:21here's the manual, go have fun.
04:23Yeah.
04:23And actually, it is a lot of fun.
04:25It was fun.
04:26It was a blast, like trying to figure out the stuff, and then there was one where the person
04:31has to navigate you through a maze, and we were looking at the wrong coordinates to figure
04:35out which maze we actually were in, so we ended up blowing up.
04:40We also ended up blowing up, there's like a Simon game, you know, where you gotta hit the
04:43colors and remember, well there's like different ways to put the codes in, and we couldn't figure
04:47that out, and we blew up.
04:49Yeah, but the coolest one was when we solved a bomb with one second left.
04:55Literally one second.
04:56So it felt like, it almost felt like a movie.
04:58Yeah.
04:58We were like pumped, I was like, oh, we live!
05:02I feel like this game should open up doors or lead the way to other companies that are
05:06trying to teach team building skills.
05:09Dude, this mustache is making me sneeze!
05:12It looks good on you.
05:13Yeah, matches your eyebrows real nice.
05:15Thanks.
05:16Yeah, you look very handsome.
05:19Companies should use this game as a basis to like build, like teamwork.
05:23Team building!
05:23Yeah, it's like a big team building exercise.
05:26You know, I could see a bunch of people sort of playing it together.
05:29Yeah.
05:29You know?
05:29It could be a good party game, you know, because people always break off into the little
05:33clicks of the party, and you'd have the game that are available, so people might sit
05:37down and play it.
05:37I personally, I would love to play it, like, if I was going on a trip and I'm traveling,
05:41I got on the airplane, and I put...
05:43Okay, well, airplane may be not the best thing, but to me, it's a great game to use to kill
05:48some time.
05:49Cut the wire of the bomb, James!
05:51Yeah, that might actually get you arrested or get your flights, you'd have to take an
05:56emergency landing.
05:57So maybe playing it on a plane is not the best idea.
06:00As for something I could see maybe being bad with the game, don't you feel like it could
06:07get repetitive?
06:08Yes.
06:08Maybe you'd play this game three or four times, but then...
06:12Yeah, you'll know the puzzles, and it'll be quick and easy to where you'll remember,
06:16okay, I have a blue button that says abort, I know that I have to click on it and wait
06:20for, like, the light to turn yellow and then stop it at a certain time within the countdown.
06:25But I will say that you can tell online, like, when you get the manual, it has a certain
06:30number, and they're obviously going to update the manual and update the bombs, and that
06:36way the game will continuously change.
06:38But it is sort of...
06:39It's kind of like playing a board game, you know?
06:44Yeah, very much so.
06:45It's a certain style of game.
06:47It's a digitally electronic board game, kind of.
06:50Which, I hate board games.
06:51Like, I don't want to sit around and play Monopoly, I don't want to play Uno, I don't want to
06:55play those games, okay?
06:57Like, but this version of a board game, I love.
07:00It's a fun game.
07:01I'm glad they tweeted it to the show for us to actually review it.
07:06And try out and play.
07:07I'm glad to have it on my computer.
07:09Like, it's a fun game.
07:10Yeah, plus I got the manual for free, because I printed it all off at work.
07:13Woo!
07:14So take that.
07:15Don't say that.
07:15Or you can also play the manual on your phone, iPad, whatever.
07:19It's there digitally, it's there for you to print out.
07:22You just go to the website, bombmanual, or something like that, like .com, and it's right
07:26there for you.
07:28Yeah, so listen, we love reviewing these games.
07:31We love that you're checking them out.
07:32And if you have any ideas for Two Guys, One Video Game, send us an email, daveandchuckthefreak.com.
07:41You want to send that email to daveandchuckthefreak at wrf.com.

07:47Oh.
07:47You put them to the website.
07:49I don't really know what I'm doing.
07:50You're not going to be able to actually, you can find the email there.
07:53Yeah.
07:53You know, email us.
07:55You want to redo the outro?
07:57No.
