Remaining largely sunny with just some areas of high cloud but we may see some low cloud affecting North Sea coastal areas at times. 00:00Hello. After an exceptionally sunny March April has continued the trend and
00:05there's more sunshine to come through the rest of this week as well. We did
00:09start off with a little bit of low cloud here and there across parts of the
00:12Midlands extending up across parts of northern England but that's been melting
00:16away and for most places it is a cloud free afternoon. Yes some high cloud
00:22around we may just see some low cloud drifting onto a bit of the North Sea
00:27coast at times but generally it's dry it's sunny. The feel of the day though
00:30really depends on the wind quite breezy across the south some lively gusts
00:34across parts of Devon and Cornwall particularly later today a bit breezy
00:38too in westernmost Scotland and along some of these North Sea coasts. If you've got the
00:42breeze off the sea then yes it feels quite chilly but away from the breeze
00:46temperatures getting up to 17 18 degrees across the Highlands of Scotland and the
00:53Moray Firth we could easily get to 19 or 20 degrees Celsius so feeling pretty
00:57pleasant in the sunshine if you're out of the wind. That breeze will get a
01:01little livelier some stronger gusts through the evening across Devon and
01:04Cornwall again and just generating enough lift over the hills for a bit of
01:10cloud over the Pennines and perhaps parts of eastern Scotland again
01:14particularly on the coast but also over the hills here could be a bit of cloud
01:16generated through the night but for most long clear spells overnight will allow
01:20the temperatures to fall away well down into single figures even in towns and
01:24cities and some rural spots may actually touch freezing again so yes a cool starts
01:30to Wednesday a little bit grey maybe over the Pennines parts of eastern
01:34Scotland but that cloud should disappear reasonably smartly once the sun's come
01:40up and then it's another fine and sunny day just the possibility of some of that
01:43har clinging to the coast of Aberdeenshire perhaps also up into
01:47Shetland but for the vast majority it's another day of long spells of sunshine
01:53slightly cooler air drifting in on this easterly breeze so again it will be
01:57quite noticeable a fresh feel on the eastern coast where temperatures could
02:01struggle to get into the teens but elsewhere we should again be in the mid
02:05teens perhaps a degree or so down compared to today across England and
02:09Wales but again western Scotland particularly the far northwest may see
02:13those temperatures pushing close to 20 Celsius little change through Wednesday
02:17evening again we'll have to keep our eyes peeled out in the North Sea for any
02:21low cloud that could just drift inland and that might make for some cloud
02:26across the east on Thursday and the threat of some rain coming up from the
02:30southwest on Thursday as well but otherwise a lot of fine weather through
02:33the rest of this week do keep up to date with the very latest best way to do that
