00:00We've got a 5.5 point spread between Alabama and Kentucky. Clearly, Bama has not played either.
00:06Kentucky coming off a survival of 14 seed Oklahoma, 85-84 yesterday. A lot of people,
00:13when the brackets are all shaken out and people are filling them out in their office pools or
00:19whatever else, a lot of people are going to take Kentucky just because they've heard of Kentucky
00:23year after year after year after year. It's the name recognition. It's not necessarily people
00:28who follow the sport closely like you do, obviously. Is this a time that we need to
00:33fade Kentucky and invest in just how good Alabama has been throughout the year?
00:38You know what? I'm actually going to go with Kentucky here, not because of their brand
00:41recognition or anything like that, but I do put a lot of value in the way that they won yesterday.
00:46Now, I know I talked about some teams who did have to fight and claw down to the wire, but
00:50a game where you look at the win probability sheet for that game against Oklahoma last night
00:53and now we're going back and forth in Kentucky, somehow finding a way to win. And I think there
00:58is something to be said when you see a team kind of find a little magic in this month of March.
01:03Now, the brand maybe does help a little bit and it's an interesting team. They pretty much had
01:06to build it from the ground up after coach Cal left, bringing in Mark Pope, bringing a lot of
01:10players from a lot of different places. They won a lot of big games this year. And I actually kind
01:15of have a feeling that that trend might continue tonight. They play Alabama, that layoff extends
01:20because they play so late at night tonight, who knows what time that game will actually tip off.
01:25And I think some of those things actually work in Kentucky's favor. So if nothing else,
01:28they might not win the game, but I think they keep it close and it'll be a battle to the end.
