00:00And we'll start off with the home dog, the Tennessee Volunteers at Neyland Stadium.
00:07You know, I don't know what to make of that game last week against the Gators.
00:11You know me, Bill.
00:12I'm an unabashed fan of the Gators.
00:14I went to school there.
00:15But the Gators dominated the Volunteers on the road.
00:18It was so weird to see because the Gators defense hasn't been good all season.
00:21Mertz was throwing the ball all over the place.
00:24But I mean, what do you make of Alabama?
00:26I mean, Alabama hasn't looked good either the last couple of weeks.
00:29They lose to Vanderbilt.
00:30They didn't look good last week.
00:32They had a rough, what, first half and plus against South Florida.
00:35They're two and a half point favorites in this game, 56 and a half is the total here.
00:41Boy, I'll tell you, if Tennessee looked good last week against the Gators, it would be
00:46a really easy pick for me.
00:47But they looked so bad and needed every bit of luck to win that game.
00:51I don't know if I can side with them either.
00:54It's a two wrongs don't make a right type game right now and really hard to figure out
00:58when you consider on one side Alabama, the last two weeks, opposing quarterbacks, a 75.5%
01:05completion percentage.
01:06Diego Pavia, Lenore Sellers, they had their way against the secondary a little bit, which
01:12was shocking in its own way.
01:14And then Niko Iomaliava has one touchdown pass in SEC play.
01:20So I'm kind of with you on this.
01:21I feel like Tennessee should win the game.
01:24They should.
01:25All the ingredients are there, but that's probably why I'll pick Alabama because they're
01:30on the road.
01:31I do trust Jalen Milrow.
01:32This is a huge game for Kaelin DeBoer.
01:34I don't think of any of these SEC games we're going to talk about, any coach feels more
01:38pressure right now than Kaelin DeBoer.
01:41If they have two losses before we get to November, all that Nick Saban stuff comes up, it'd be
01:46a little bit of a mess.
01:49And close wins for Alabama too.
01:51Two losses and some close wins that shouldn't have been, you know, Alabama is going to be
01:54on the outside looking in on that.
01:56So that being said, there's still 10 to 1 to win the national championship, but I'm
02:00not really interested in them.
02:01And from what I saw with Tennessee last week, even if they beat Alabama this week, Bill,
02:05I certainly don't have the confidence to think they could win the championship.
02:08I'm a pass probably on both of these.
02:10Yeah, I think those two teams right now, two weeks ago, a different story, but they're
02:14cut under Texas and Georgia.
02:16And maybe even on some level LSU, when you're looking at the Tigers who have this path to
02:22the SEC championship game, if they take care of business at Texas A&M last week, remember
02:27the Tigers don't have an SEC loss.
02:30So I still, Alabama's tempting because you know, they have the talent, the offense, those
02:34kinds of things.
02:35But if they don't figure out that defense, it's not going to matter.
