00:00Hello there and a very good morning to you on this Thursday morning, which is cold.
00:05Yes, yet again, temperatures have dipped below freezing across some parts of the country
00:09with a frost and even some icy stretches where you've seen some showers.
00:13Through the day, a brisk breeze coming in from the north, particularly exposed to this
00:17eastern side.
00:18It's going to feel really rather chilly.
00:20We'll see more clouds across the western side with a little showery rain and showers will
00:23develop in situ yet again, but the wind will slowly ease.
00:27You can see where these showers are this morning.
00:30running down towards Cornwall as well as Devon.
00:32Clearer skies inland.
00:33Expect a frost first thing.
00:34Some clearer skies allowing for some sunshine to develop once the sun rises.
00:38A little bit of showery rain just running down the western side of Northern Ireland,
00:42clipping the far west of Scotland and more wet weather just coming and going across the
00:46far north of Scotland as well.
00:48So for some, it's a bright start to the day with some sunshine.
00:52These showers, though, could have a wintry element to them, particularly over the higher
00:57ground, but even at lower levels where you catch a heavier one, they will push inland
01:01through the morning into the afternoon and develop in situ as well.
01:04Dry skies probably, I'd say, western southwest Scotland.
01:08We will see that showery rain across the far north there.
01:10Some brighter weather coming through from time to time further south as well in between
01:15those scattered showers as temperatures arrive around seven to nine degrees Celsius.
01:20So a chilly day.
01:22We'll see showers continue through this evening and overnight.
01:26And this little bit of showery rain will sink southwards with some mountain snow.
01:30Clearer skies across England and Wales.
01:32It will allow for fairly widespread frost into Friday morning.
01:36This showery rain continues with some snow across the southern uplands as we head into
01:41Friday first thing and even the far north Pennine district seeing a little bit of wintryness.
01:46Showers continue through the day on Friday.
01:48They'll be fairly scattered, a mix of cloud and sunshine.
01:51Dry skies western Scotland.
01:53Some parts of Northern Ireland where the cloud breaks.
01:56Now through Saturday, high pressure builds.
01:59That means fewer showers, more in the way of drier weather.
02:02And after a bright start with some patchy frost, you'll see some fine conditions.
02:06Still quite a brisk breeze across the far south east there, east Anglia.
02:10And a little bit of shower, showery rain across the far north of Scotland in between a mix
02:15of cloud and sun.
02:17Here's your outlook through Friday.
02:18Clouds will build through the day.
02:20There's a chance of one or two showers along the eastern side through the afternoon.
02:23Temperatures on the up slightly, 9 or 10 degrees Celsius.
02:27I'll see you later.
