00:00The dialogue between the doctor and the patient is essential.
00:09It is a huge value to help the patient to be adherent to the therapy,
00:16to follow and recognize the symptoms, to recognize even when there are acute phases,
00:22so you have to go to the emergency room.
00:25Today, I have to say that the intervention of the patient,
00:30in all the therapeutic processes,
00:33have given, as an answer, that the patient,
00:37who is aware of the therapy, who is aware of the pathology,
00:41is better cured and therefore also avoids as much as possible
00:46to go to the emergency room in the acute phase.
00:49There is a cultural change.
00:51The law of the bilancio 2025 has taken a really decisive step
00:59in what are the decisional processes,
01:02in which it has inserted that all the patients' associations
01:06participate in the decision-making processes
01:09of both the Ministry of Health and AIFA.
01:13This is important also because we are going to a cultural moment
01:18in which the satisfaction of the patient is tested,
01:22which is then at the center of the health system and health care.
01:26In cardiovascular diseases, prevention is the first essential starting point.
01:33Today we have available diagnostic tests
01:37that can certainly help to prevent and recognize
01:43the risk of cardiovascular disease.
01:47We have the possibility of doing the LPA protein test,
01:55which is something that really gives the meaning
01:59of how much a person is at risk of cardiovascular disease.
02:03This is something that saves lives,
02:06because by being able to know it in advance,
02:11then all the means that medicine has can be made available.
02:16Cholesterol is one of the most important risks of cardiovascular disease.
02:24Today, according to the new European guidelines,
02:28we are also talking about a personalized level of cholesterol.
02:32So it is not something that you have to follow
02:36by going to the lab and recognizing the values that still exist today.
02:41Cholesterol must be verified according to the type of patient,
02:46according to prevention,
02:49and then be able to take all those initiatives
02:54that can prevent cardiovascular disease.
