00:00The United States transferred the Mid-Range Capability or Typhoon Missile System from its original location to another location.

00:08Details on this were reported by Rod Laguzad of PTV Manila.

00:14The U.S. Mid-Range Capability or Typhoon Missile System will still remain in the country.

00:19This was given by National Security Advisor Secretary Eduardo Año

00:24after it was transferred to an undisclosed location.

00:27The so-called Missile System has the capability to destroy

00:30Standard Missile-6 and Tomahawk Land-Attack Missiles

00:33that can reach up to 2,000 kilometers or more.

00:36The Typhoon Mid-Range Capability or Typhoon Missile System is still in the country so far.

00:43It will still be used in the future.

00:47If it will be used in the future, that is a classified information that can be disclosed to the public.

00:55According to AAP Spokesperson Colonel Francel Margaret Padilla,

00:59the transfer is part of the training in the Military Asset Department.

01:02Of course, what we are looking at is when we heighten and strengthen our defenses,

01:07we have to look into the possibility of being able to deploy salient assets to salient locations as well.

01:14She said that the operational details are part of the reason why this location is undisclosed

01:18so that the security will not be compromised.

01:21Padilla clarified that this is not a preparation for an attack, but rather to strengthen the defense of the country.

01:26China reiterated its call to the Philippines to pull out of the country the deployment of the Missile System.

01:32She said that the Philippines is creating tensions in the region and provoking geopolitical confrontation and arms race.

01:39She also said that the decision of the country is dangerous and irresponsible for its citizens and other countries in Southeast Asia.

01:47AAP also stated that no one can dictate to the Philippines about its defense.
