00:36unilateral inclusion of Cuba in a list of countries that allegedly sponsored terrorism.
00:43Hello and welcome to From the South, I'm Ana Marrero from the Tel Aviv headquarters
00:51in Caracas, Venezuela.
00:52We'll give you the news, stay with us.
01:08In Syria, the Israeli army opened fire on a civilian demonstration in the southern town
01:12of Mariya.
01:13The Israeli soldiers branded the group of demonstrators as suspicious and shouted at
01:21them before asking them to back down.
01:23The Israeli military authorities said troops acted in accordance with open fire procedures
01:29and shot one of the demonstrators in the leg.
01:32Israel knows that it does not intervene in Syrian affairs, but its forces are advancing
01:37in several territories in order to make inroads into Damascus after terrorist groups overthrew
01:43President Bashar al-Assad.
01:50Thousands of Yemeni demonstrators gathered on Friday in al-Sabin Square in the capital
01:55of Sana'a in rejection of the permanent operations of the Israeli forces against the Gaza Strip.
02:01Under the slogan, With Gaza, there is jihad mobilizations and mobilizations.
02:07The participants reiterated their firm and unwavering support for the Palestinian people
02:13suffering in a genocide by the Zionist entity of Israel.
02:18The demonstration was called by the leader of the Houthi movement, Abdul Malik Bar-Aldin
02:23al-Houthi, who urged the Yemenis to express their support for the Palestinian cause of
02:29freedom and resistance.
02:35When the Israeli enemy thought that it had advanced and achieved an accomplishment in
02:38targeting the axis of resistance, it was met with a Yemeni escalation, and this confirms
02:43that Yemen is continuing to support Gaza without hesitation.
02:48The surrender process now is more dangerous than confrontation and not continuing to support
02:53Gaza.
02:59No matter how much Israel escalates, we have means to confront it.
03:03Perhaps we will surrounded with fighters like a bracelet on a wrist, sweep its land, and
03:07enter upon them with men who do not dig trenches but rather face death with all open hearts
03:11out of devotion to God.
03:16The Russian government warned that increasing restrictions and price limits for Russian
03:20crude oil will also influence the stability of the world oil market.
03:26Kremlin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said his government will take the necessary measures
03:30to minimize the impact of the state's interests.
03:34In this regard, as on December 22, the countries of the G7 imposed a price ceiling of $60 per
03:41barrel per Russian crude oil in response to which Moscow banned sales to states that supported
03:48the illegal measure.

05:03We provide our support and solidarity to the families of at least five people from
05:07this same boat who fell into the sea and whose bodies have not been recovered.
05:12It is inhumane and heartbreaking to commemorate the International Day of Migrants, and at
05:17the same time, off our coasts, for young people drowned due to the policies of dehumanization
05:22and restriction of mobility imposed by the European Union.
05:33On Friday, Venezuelan Attorney General Tarek Williams confirmed that Fernando Martinez
05:38Motola, a far-right activist from Vente, Venezuela, who had been residing in the Argentine Embassy
05:43in Caracas, surrendered to Venezuelan authorities yesterday.

06:02presents himself at the main office of the Public Prosecutor's Office in Caracas.
06:07The aforementioned citizen was brought to justice and made statements at the Prosecutor's
06:12Office regarding the serious violence, the conspirational and destabilizing acts that
06:18have been organized from the aforementioned diplomatic headquarters during the last month
06:23after the presidential elections of July 28.
06:25It is important to highlight that Martinez Motola decided to actively collaborate with
06:29the Venezuelan justice system within the framework of the due process provided in
06:35Article 49 of the Constitution of the Republic.
06:38Finally, the Public Prosecutor's Office, as a director and holder of the criminal investigation,
06:43remains firm in its duty to guarantee justice, as well as in its fight against any national
06:49or international group or entity outside the law that attempts against the peace of the
06:53Venezuelan nation.
06:54Social sectors in Ecuador voice the rejection of the construction of a new maximum security
07:06prison in a coastal area.
07:07The group says that the government didn't submit the project to a previous consultation
07:14with the area's presidents.
07:15The indigenous people of the province also reject the site of the construction, which
07:19belongs to Bodega and Cistro Tritores.
07:22On the other hand, several outskirts of Hultry's, Hengla, Artisans and Americans announced a
07:29mobilization for next December the 21st to voice their rejection against the construction
07:33of the prison, which was proposed to the government by the mayor of Salinas.
07:43In Panama, relative and friends of the victims of the 1989 U.S. invasion of the country marks
07:49the historic event and demand that the murders committed during the invasion continue to
07:53be investigated and those responsible brought to justice.
07:56The event was attended by several states and ministers and directors of the government
08:00entities.
08:01Three or five years ago, the U.S. invaded Panama in order to overthrow then-President
08:06Manuel Antonio Noguera, who Washington regarded as a dictator.
08:10The president of the Association of Relatives and Friends of Those Fallen that Day, Trinidad
08:15We have not been here in vain.
08:32With perseverance we have accomplished several goals, defeating a narrative of a fair cause,
08:37calling it an invasion, the investigation of crimes, human rights violations.
08:42Through the creation of the Commission of December 20th, 1989, and the Declaration of
08:47December 20th, as a day of national mourning in 2022.

09:12Welcome back.
09:13Thousands of people in Havana, Cuba, rallied on Friday to protest against the U.S. blockade
09:36against the Caribbean nation and Washington's unilateral inclusion of Cuba in a list of
09:41countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism.
09:43The demonstrators represent in different sectors of the Cuban society, marching along the iconic
09:49malicency from drivers passing by the U.S. embassy, crying slogans against the U.S. actions
09:55against Cuba, and reframing the legionaries' period of struggle and victory of the Cuban
10:01people.
10:06They don't know the Cuban people.
10:09They underestimate our patriotism and our revolution.
10:16Other spokespeople of the U.S. government and the anti-Cuban mafia who encouraged the
10:25idea of this march against the U.S. people, we have nothing against the U.S. people or
10:36hatred against them, against those humble, noble people of that country.
10:44We want to strengthen cooperation between the two nations.
10:50We extend our support to all of the governments of the U.S. since the triumph of the revolution,
10:57always looking for a serious relationship and equality.
11:05But if the U.S. insists in its disposition to break our independence, our sovereignty,
11:13our socialism, they will only find rebellion and perseverance.
11:21Also the president of Cuba condemned the blockade and the unilateral coercive measures imposed
11:25by the government of the United States.
11:28We march now, we march now to say to the U.S. government, let the Cuban people live
11:38in peace, down with interference, down with the blockade, down with unilateral coercive
11:49measures against Cuba, down with the permanence of Cuba in the list of countries that sponsor
11:57terrorism, against genocide against the Cuban people, socialism or death, homeland or death,
12:07we will triumph.
12:09Cuba held the closing of the fourth session of the Cuban parliament in which President
12:15Miguel Díaz-Canel presented balance sheets on government sanctions in 2024.
12:19During the event, the president explained the enormous efforts and the still insufficient
12:24results of the presidential administration in the face of the obstacles imposed on the
12:29island, such as the U.S. blockade and the prevailing injustice in international economic
12:34relations.
12:35In his speech, the president called once again on the heroism, intelligence and creativity
12:40that distinguish the Cuban people to overcome the difficulties faced by the Iglesian nation.
12:48Marxists, Martianos and Fidelistas, we will not get tired of fighting against the pro-imperialist,
12:57fascist, world-like, exclusionary, predatory currents that threaten humankind.
13:02And we will continue to insist on the development of the just and responsible humanist model
13:08of solidarity.
13:11The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, points out the U.S. promotes the Israeli genocide
13:16against the Palestinian people and the use of nuclear weapons through the organization
13:20of the North Atlantic Treaty Islands.
13:26The threat of nuclear conflagration has been closer than ever before for more than half
13:31a century.
13:32The expansionist ambition of the imperialism promoted by the United States through NATO
13:37raises the danger of the use of nuclear weapons in Europe to seriously worrying limits.
13:43Miguel's genocide against the Palestinian people, with the open support of the United
13:47States and other allies, is already one of the most merciless atrocities humanity has
13:53ever known.
13:55And it is taking place before the eyes of all with the impotence of the United Nations,
14:00the International Court and the many international organizations supposedly designed to promote
14:06and protect human rights.
14:11The Cuban president recalled that the administration of U.S. President Joe Biden tries to collapse
14:16the revolution of Cuba with the imposition of unilateral coercive measures.
14:23The awareness of what has been done in these four years by the outgoing government of the
14:27United States is to bet on the collapse of the revolution through the ruthless application
14:33of a system of coercive measures established by its predecessor to reinforce the economic
14:37blockade.
