Transcript
00:00body sends a strong message to the people of Cuba, a message of hope and a message of support.
00:07The embargo that has isolated Cuba for decades is not right, Mr. President, and it continues
00:14to be a stain on our collective conscience. St. Kitts and Nevis joins the Caribbean community
00:21in calling for an end to this unjust embargo and for Cuba's removal from the State Department's
00:28list of state sponsors of terrorism. Cuba has long been a friend to the Caribbean,
00:35its doctors, educators exemplifying true philanthropy. And I might state here,
00:42Mr. President, that I'm a graduate of the Cuban educational system.
00:46Instead of denigrating the island, we should elevate and learn from its sustainable solutions
00:59that have empowered their people and, in turn, the region. A stronger,
01:04more sustainable Cuba enhances the security and sustainability of the Caribbean.
