00:08And I'm making something sort of like all football fans.
00:12Yes, that's right. I am making mini pretzel bites. Yes.
00:17And I'm doing it a fast, easy, convenient way
00:21that was said to me by Kayla Felch.
00:25And what it is, is Kayla Felch, that's her name.
00:30Ugh, spelling all these names.
00:33But what we're going to do is we're going to be using
00:36store-made pizza dough,
00:39and we're going to be making delicious pretzel bites
00:44to kick off this great football season.

01:06Right now, we've got a large pot of water boiling.
01:09We have our oven preheated to 425,
01:12and we're going to open up this tube of pizza dough.

01:22we're going to open you up.

01:26Ooh, come on.
01:28Doesn't want to leave the damn thing.
01:31All right, so we're going to unroll the pizza dough.

01:40And we're going to basically cut this
01:42into little one-inch pieces.
01:45So we have to cut this up
01:53and then get ready to make our little pretzel bites.

02:44And using a nice little pizza cutter helps make it really fast
02:47so you can really speed through this process.

02:56All right, now we've got to wait for the pot to boil.
02:59And you know, a watch pot never does boil,
03:04even if you add extra oil.
03:07All right, so we've got our little squares.
03:12We'll bunch them up into little one-inch little pieces
03:16to have our little pretzel bites.
03:19Pretzel bites, don't do a fight.
03:21You're going to want to fight for my pretzel bites.

03:33Yep, so here we go.
03:34We'll just have them all ready.
03:36We're actually going to drop the dough into the water,
03:39the boiling water.
03:40That's going to be the first step.
03:42So we have to wait for that to boil.
03:47And once that boils, we'll be ready for the next step.
03:50All right, now that our water's finally boiling,
03:52we get to put one-third cup of baking soda into the water.
03:58So let's get one-third cup of baking soda into the water.
04:05Got to pour it kind of slow so it doesn't cause the water
04:08to burn all over.
04:11Now, yep.
04:16Now what we're going to do is we're going to add
04:18our pizza dough into the water.
04:23So let's get these into the water.
04:25And we're going to drop them in for like about 30 seconds,
04:30half a minute, about 30 seconds to a minute.
04:33Pour these into the water and let them boil up.
04:42Ouch.
04:44Splashed on me a little bit.
04:45There it is.
04:47You're supposed to do this in a couple batches, but, hey,
04:50I think this will be enough.
04:51And we keep these in about 30 seconds, maybe a minute.
04:54There it is.
04:57So let these boil up.
05:05And then we'll remove them with a slotted spoon.
05:08So get the slotted spoon.
05:11And we'll put these down on a paper towel like this one,
05:18down onto a paper towel.
05:21Dry these off.
05:24Tap them down, dry them off.
05:27Ooh, this didn't come out too good.

05:30I think I might have fucked this up a little bit.

05:41But we're only making like one batch.
05:42I'm not making a whole bunch of batches here.
05:44And then what we do is we take these and we put them
05:48on a parchment lined paper, a cooking sheet that we're going to cook.
05:54So let's get these pretzel bites onto a cookie sheet.

06:05Let's cook up the pretzel bites.
06:08We'll make them quite nice.
06:10Well, yes, we will.
06:11Hopefully they don't fuck up.

06:22All right, here we go.
06:39All right, now we're going to put these in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes
06:42until they're golden brown.
06:46There we go.
06:47All right, while the pretzels cook, we're going to get ready to make a cheese sauce.
06:51Cheese sauce, a cheese sauce.
06:54Yes, indeed, we're going to be making a cheese sauce.
06:57So we're going to start off by melting some butter into the cheese sauce.
07:03So we'll start off with a quarter cup of butter,
07:15which I think is about half stick, more or less.
07:23Actually, that's, yep, half stick.
07:34So we'll melt this butter up.
07:37Melting the butter, going to make the butter, melt the butter.
07:45While the butter melts,
07:48our next step is to sprinkle in a quarter cup of flour.
07:57So find our quarter cup and sprinkle in a quarter cup of flour.

08:12Get our little trusty whisk out.
08:15Start whisking this up.
08:22Next step is to add two cups of milk, two cups of milk, two cups of milk.

08:48We added our little milk.
08:50Now.
09:06We'll whisk this up a little bit.
09:08Now I'm going to put in some Velveeta.

09:22There it is, melt the Velveeta.

09:33Yep, got these nice little handy dandy packs here.
09:38So melt in the Velveeta.
09:40We'll also be adding some shredded cheese to make this extra cheesy.
10:04And we got to constantly whisk this until the cheese is all melted.
10:18The cheese, help it melt a little bit too by squishing it a little bit.
10:33We'll also be adding in some shredded cheese.
10:36We'll take some of this double cheddar cheese.
10:51We have a real cheesy, peasy dip.
10:56Oh, yeah, there it is.
10:58Wow, it's really starting to melt.
11:04Whisk, whisk, whisk.
11:06Whisk up the cheese.
11:07All right, you have to continue to whisk this up as the cheese melts.
11:11As the cheese melts, it's going to be a belt when you want the cheese.
11:18Melt the cheese if you please.
11:23It just wouldn't be me if I didn't put a little bit of this in here.
11:30That's it.
11:32Now, we're going to kick this up a little bit.
11:34We're going to put just a little chili powder.
11:40We're also going to put in some cayenne pepper.
11:53And just a little paprika just to add some heat to our cheese.
12:04So mix this up a little bit more.
12:07Oh, there it is.

12:09It's bubbling now.
12:10It is a bubbling curry.
12:13Melt in the cheese.

12:23All right, there's our pretzels, nice and golden brown.

12:28So let's brush the top of these.
12:32This probably didn't come out as good as it should have come out
12:35because I forgot to put the egg wash on before I put these into the dam, I think.
12:41But they still came out golden brown.
12:44So, hey, what do you want to know?
12:46So let's slap some water on all these pretzels,
12:50and then we'll start putting this coarse salt on.

13:15So I forgot to put the egg wash on.
13:19These look like they still came out pretty good,
13:21so we're going to put them into a nice little, appropriately enough,
13:24a football-shaped bowl to serve these up at.
13:32Sprinkle some of the salt on here so they don't get lost.
13:35I think probably the egg wash would have probably made the salt stick better,
13:38but, hey, lesson learned.
13:41Then we have our little cheese sauce here.
