00:22Jewish organisations have campaigned for the direct link for at least 15 years. The service,
00:28which will use single-deck diesel buses, will run for a trial period of at least 12
00:33months to assess demand and to allow Transport for London to establish whether it is viable
00:39in the long term.
00:41When confirmation of the route was first announced in the summer, Mr Khan said,
00:45I know there have been concerns about safety given the terrible rise in antisemitism and
00:50this route will provide a safe, sustainable and affordable route for local residents.
