00:00The Caped Crusader is getting free chiropractic care.
00:04Here's a look at the brand new McFarlane toys, DC Multiverse, Batman Nightfall, Batman vs. Bane.
00:30The fight between Bruce Wayne and Bane was detailed in Batman 497.
00:40After three months, the exhausted Batman was no match for Bane.
00:42Bane pummels him ruthlessly before breaking Wayne's back over his knee inside the Batcave below the manor.
00:47Breaking Batman's back.
00:49And while Bruce is ready to cool down, Bane's just warming up.
00:52Just before we get a closer look at the McFarlane toys, DC Multiverse, Nightfall, Batman and Bane,
00:57let's take the tape measure and see how tall both the figures stand.
01:00Now these are repaints and recasts.
01:02They have done some slight tooling differences between the original initial release of Nightfall, Batman and Bane.
01:07I'll bring in those figures for comparison sake in a second.
01:10First though, before we get ahead of ourselves, let's grab the tape measure and see how tall the figures stand.
01:14So again, like this is just simply a retooling because they have done a different head sculpt
01:18and a few things that are done differently to the caution, but it is essentially still Nightfall, Batman.
01:22Because of that, the figure is going to stand the same at 7 inches in height or about 17 and a half centimeters tall.
01:28Bane is also similar in the sense that he's got a brand new head sculpt.
01:31He's got also missing a few little things that he had originally on.
01:34Well, again, you'll see in a second.
01:36Bane though is still impressive as ever.
01:38The figure is going to stand at 9 inches in height.
01:40Yes, he is.
01:41Or the figure is 22 centimeters tall.
01:43Oh, and I found the set over at ToysRus.ca.
01:46Not that that's a plug necessarily for ToysRus, but that seemed to be the best place that I could find it.
01:50They also had a $15 off coupon.
01:52Bringing now the figures for comparisons, we all know by now the Nightfall Batman what he looks like.
01:56Now again, same body for essentially the most part.
01:59What they have done differently though is they've removed the plate that was on the front of his chest that had his emblem.
02:04They've now just printed that in place.
02:05Brand new head sculpt, brand new cloth cape.
02:08We'll talk more about that also in a moment.
02:10As for Bane, there is again some cosmetic changes that have been made and also some tooling differences that have been made.
02:15He's got a different belt there on the front.
02:17Instead of also having the additional ammo packs that he had on the front for his bandolier, that's been stripped away completely.
02:22And he's got a brand new mask.
02:23This two-pack comes with stuff.
02:25Let's look at that stuff right now.
02:26The figures first of all come included with display stands.
02:28Both the stands are identical to one another.
02:30Both have brandings of the DC logo and both have neighboring pegs to the far corner.
02:35No different, no different than regular DC multiverse display stands.
02:38Hold on to these whatever you do.
02:40I mean, I'm sure you probably, if you're collecting enough of these by now, you probably have a whole stack of a hundred of these.
02:45But hold on to these because these would be ideal if you want to do any breakings of Bats.
02:48What?
02:49Hold on a second for that.
02:50The figures also come included with, of course, a trading card.
02:52The trading card depicts that of issue number 497.
02:55Two things I was following religiously around the time that this was coming out, of course, was the death of Superman and the breaking of the Bat.
03:04That worked sort of simultaneously, both being released in their own individual issues.
03:08Culminating, of course, in Superman number 75.
03:11Culminating in Batman 497.
03:13Depicted here on the front, of course, is the breaking of the Bat.
03:16The thing that's missing, though, unfortunately, though, is the straps on his tank top.
03:19Will we get a shirtless Bane?
03:20Time will only tell.
03:21But we got a nice little image.
03:23I will say, though, that the image looks a little blurry.
03:25And I don't think it's the same image.
03:27Now that I'm thinking about it, I don't think this is the same image that they would have used for the initial cover of 497.
03:33It may have been used for the trade paperback a little bit later on because they did simplify some of the styling of it.
03:38I know it looks very much like 497, but it's not as sharp.
03:42Maybe they even fine-tuned it themselves.
03:45On the back, though, you won't get any read-up because, obviously, this card is going to be shared between two figures.
03:50But what you'll get, though, is a fairly straightforward paragraph read.
03:53You can read it for yourself.
03:55I read this also at the beginning of the review, so I kind of beat you to it.
03:58I'm going to move that card off to the side, though.
04:00OK. Let's look at the things that come included.
04:03Can you tell I'm a little excited for this set?
04:05This Bane was the Bane that I've been waiting for all this time.
04:08Not that there was nothing really necessarily wrong with the initial Bane, but this Bane does things that the original Bane never did before.
04:14The figure does, first of all, for Batman, come included with a batarang.
04:18It's a pretty small batarang. As you can see, it's cast here all in blue plastic.
04:21It matches that of his cowl, his cape, his underoos, his gloves, and, of course, his lower boots.
04:26This can be fit into his hand with the hand that he has right now.
04:29The figure also comes included with punching hands.
04:32Not much punching is going to really all that happen.
04:34Batman's exhausted by the time that Bane finally meets him inside Wayne Manor.
04:38But you can swap these out if you want to.
04:41It's just a case of popping them off from the ends of his forearms.
04:43He also has, of course, some mauling hands.
04:46Again, really, what good mauling hands is going to serve a purpose for?
04:49Or, again, at the end of the Dark Knight Rises universe, Batman gets broken, thrown down a well,
04:53and somehow just miraculously heals himself and is able to climb.
04:56I don't want to be spoiling anything for anyone that hasn't seen the Dark Knight Rises, but Batman escapes from his hell prison.
05:02Anyways, though, maybe he had used these hands, although these hands are inside gloves.
05:06So, again, you can just swap them out for the hands that he has.
05:09Bane does come also included with his own fair share of hands, a pair of closed fists.
05:13These are very suitable for, of course, punching and pounding Bruce Wayne's face,
05:17and, of course, breaking his back. That comes a little bit later.
05:21Again, these hands just pop out from the provided forearm pegs that he has right now.
05:25Just, again, you'll swap these out and replace them with these.
05:27Bane's pretty good on these.
05:30One of the things I will say, though, about the paint, especially more for Bane,
05:33is that I feel like it really could have used another coat of it.
05:36You'll see that there's a lot of bleeding of plastic underneath, but we'll kind of talk all about that more in a moment.
05:41The thing I really want to kind of talk about first is Batman.
05:44There are things from the standpoint of, at least from the figure, that I generally like, colors being one of them.
05:49The thing I really like about this Batman right out the gate is the colors of the gray and the blue that they chose.
05:55Just for that, obviously, I'm going to bring back in Nightfall Batman so you guys can see.
05:58While liking and still loving the original Nightfall Batman,
06:01one thing could be said for the figure is that the gray was fairly light.
06:04I do like the darker gray that they've used because it's a little more closer to the comic.
06:08Notably, though, as I already mentioned, there were some molding changes.
06:12You can see, like, for example, the emblem on the front of Batman's torso, for example.
06:16This would all have been a raised piece of plastic.
06:19What they've done, though, now, is they've removed that and they've just simply printed the emblem on his chest,
06:24which I feel almost, in a way, like they could have just kept the emblem the way it was before
06:28because, in the comics, Batman tend to have a smaller emblem like this.
06:31He didn't have one that stretched across his torso.
06:34There are some rips, notably, there on his shoulders.
06:36There's one big gash there down below in his abdomen area, and he's got a few rips down below,
06:40but there very much is a difference of the blue and the grays between the two figures,
06:43and I like the blue and the gray a lot more, at least from the standpoint of Nightfall.
06:48From, like, head to toe, it's a better-looking Batman, but I do like that the colors here
06:52are representing a little bit more to the colors that Batman would have had in that 497 comic.
06:57Here's a few little things, things that I can throw out here that I'm not 100% a fan of.
07:02Number one is Batman's face.
07:04Now, obviously, he's going to be given a grimace face because he's been pummeled almost to death by Bane.
07:09So, obviously, you can see, like, Batman almost for a second does look like he's got black eyes,
07:13and I don't think that's the plan that they had in mind.
07:15I don't know why they made the eyes so dark as they were.
07:20I mean, Batman does have some, you could say, shadowing around his eyes.
07:24He's got a little bit of that, obviously, when we look at the Nightfall Batman,
07:27but nowhere to the extent of what we're getting here with this two-pack release.
07:31The grimace face I don't feel really works all that well.
07:34I mean, I would have loved if it could have just been a battered Bruce.
07:37So, like, if, for example, one of the benefits of having now a cloth cape
07:40is that you can actually truly have this bent over Bane's knee,
07:43but I think I would have given him either more just a look of defeat or just, like, pure exhaustion.
07:49This grimaced face that they gave him isn't really quite cutting it for me.
07:52I like the blue, and I like the gray, all the things I mentioned before,
07:55but the head sculpt isn't the one of the things I do like about the figure.
07:58I think it could have been done a little bit better.
08:00That being said, though, one of the other things that this figure notably has changed on it
08:05is that he now has a cape, a cloth cape.
08:07The cape that they use, first of all, for the, like, material is a very strange type of material.
08:12It's got this, and I'm hoping only that the camera's able to pick this up properly,
08:16it's got this kind of film to it. It's got a sheen to it,
08:20but it doesn't feel like it drapes naturally like regular fabric would be.
08:24The original Batman obviously would have had a plastic cape.
08:26I know a lot of people tend to like now fabric capes.
08:28Fabric capes work well. I don't know if landing on this fabric was the right choice.
08:33I would have just preferred a matte blue fabric instead.
08:36It's just, I think, way too shiny.
08:38It's long, too.
08:39If you're looking at this and you're looking at Batman, that's a pretty big cape to contend with.
08:44Luckily, though, he does have a wire that runs on the side.
08:47It runs on the side, so, of course, you can bend this if you want to.
08:50And the inner lining there is also black.
08:52I just don't know if I like the material that they chose.
08:55I think more of a matte material, a matte blue, would have worked so much nicer,
08:59even if the interior meant...
09:01Now, it looks obviously like they would have taken two halves and sewn them together.
09:05I would have just rather had this all in blue
09:07and not maybe necessarily worried as much of it being the interior being black like this
09:11because I feel like just like material doesn't work for me.
09:14It may work for you.
09:15It just doesn't work necessarily for me.
09:17Now, for the articulation on this guy, it's pretty much exactly the same as the original Nightfall Batman.
09:21It is really essentially the exact same.
09:23But this Batman does have, of course, the ball joint,
09:25so it does allow the head to rotate all the way around.
09:27The head looks up fairly easy, and it does look down, as Batman's so defeated.
09:32The upper torso is going to be on a ball joint.
09:34The lower torso also the same.
09:36Arms come easily out.
09:37I didn't notice, though, that this arm was a little on the more looser side.
09:40I don't know if that's going to be across the board.
09:42I'm certainly mentioning it for mine, at least.
09:44It does rotate all the way around.
09:45The figure does have, still, the swivel on the bicep.
09:47It still possesses, yes, the double hinge on the elbow.
09:49And would you believe it, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.
09:52The hands do rotate all the way around with a hinge back and forth.
09:54That may not necessarily change if you want to pop the hand off, for example.
09:58Let's just give him one of the mauling hands here.
10:01Just plug that in place.
10:04The easiest thing to do, obviously, is just kind of twist it onto the peg
10:07until finally it snaps in place.
10:08Now, of course, Batman does have a grabbing hand.
10:11The legs do split.
10:12Yes, yes, they do.
10:13There's a hinge on the inside.
10:14They're working behind the scenes.
10:15There's a mild swivel at the top of the thigh.
10:17Legs, of course, move forward and back.
10:19Double hinge on the knee.
10:20There's no articulation where it counts for the boot,
10:22not that it necessarily needs it either.
10:24Hinge up and down for the ankle.
10:25A rock back and forth on the ankle, too.
10:27And the figure does also have toe articulation.
10:30I feel like most of this, if I was to look at this as a percentage,
10:34I would say, like, 85%.
10:37I'm trying to measure, like, what would a head sculpt
10:40and what would it equate for percentages?
10:43Would that be 15%?
10:44Would you say that that...
10:45I would say 85% of this figure is good.
10:48You know, again, like, comparing it with the original one,
10:50the things that I like right away is the fact that the colors are darker.
10:53I like that the blue and I like that the gray
10:55are more closer to the colors of the comic.
10:58What lands, unfortunately, the 15% off
11:01is the choice that they went with the head.
11:03I just don't like the head, necessarily.
11:05Giving them a different expression, that's one thing.
11:07Giving them, though, the expression that they did,
11:09I just think it kind of detracts a little bit away from the figure.
11:12And I'm not, honestly, a big fan of the cape.
11:14I like that it's cloth. I like that it has a wire.
11:17I just don't, myself, like the material that they used for the cape.
11:20That being said, let's look at Bane.
11:22And Bane, for me, is the price of admission.
11:24Not that that's not necessarily a bad-looking Batman,
11:26other than, obviously, the things I've already mentioned.
11:28But Bane, for me, is the reasoning why I wanted to get this set.
11:31In fact, let's move Batman out of the way.
11:33We'll slide over Bane here for...
11:35And we'll just, obviously, bring back in the original Bane.
11:37So you can already see, like, there are some things.
11:40Not all the things, but some things have been changed.
11:42The biggest one being is that his mask is different.
11:44They also have now removed the pouches
11:46and that strapping that he would have had on the front of his tank top.
11:49That's completely gone all the way.
11:52The lower half of his legs look to be identical.
11:55The only thing that's also notable, as well,
11:57is that they look to have changed the belt.
11:59So it isn't just a case that...
12:01I mean, looking at the original belt,
12:03obviously, it would have had a circular shape on the front.
12:05This new belt now has a little point on the front.
12:08So it had to be a brand-new belt for that.
12:10Obviously, I already mentioned,
12:12is that the pockets are completely done away with on the original Bane.
12:14That gave us now this new version of Bane.
12:16And we get ourselves a different mask altogether.
12:19Now, you may be saying,
12:20Humbled Reviewer, could that not have just been the same mask
12:23and they just painted it differently?
12:24Well, I don't think they could have,
12:25because obviously, with the eyes being as they are,
12:28they are sunken in.
12:29They're clearly carved into the plastic.
12:31So you couldn't have just painted around that
12:33and made the eye sockets bigger.
12:34It doesn't work that way.
12:36What they've done clearly instead
12:37is that they've given him a brand-new head sculpt.
12:39It almost even, in fact, looks like the head sculpt
12:41is bigger than the one we got before.
12:43The other thing that's also really different between the two Banes
12:45involves me spinning the figures around.
12:47The original one that we got before
12:49does have the tank of venom that's pumping right into his head
12:52and also into his arm.
12:53The new Bane, like in the comics, though,
12:55doesn't have the tank on the back.
12:57And what he relies solely on
12:58is that he's got the contraption also still on his arm.
13:01But that's the thing that's now pumping the venom.
13:03The venom now goes completely through.
13:05So like the original one, as you can see,
13:07the hose stops here.
13:09And it basically would, for all intents and purposes,
13:11would be pumping.
13:14Pumping into his bicep, his forearms,
13:16and all into his torso that way.
13:17And he would have had a second hose
13:19coming from the tank into the back of his head.
13:21This new Bane, though, relies solely on this contraption
13:24that's pumping, then, the venom.
13:26As you can see, it goes straight past the bicep
13:28all the way to the top
13:30and connects to the top of the figure's head.
13:32So there's a lot of different accompanying things
13:35that have now been added on the newer Bane.
13:37Kind of really doing away with a lot of things
13:39that were on the original Bane.
13:40The colorings of the two characters,
13:42you can see the first Bane had more of a yellowish tint
13:45to, as you can see, the plastic of his skin tone.
13:48The new Bane kind of more has a pink color
13:50The thing, unfortunately, about the Bane
13:52is the only thing I would say as a detriment
13:54is that if you're looking at the coloring of the plastic,
13:57I just feel like looking at there,
13:59there's a few areas where it just seems like
14:01it really did need a second coat of paint.
14:03Especially like right around here.
14:05I would imagine that they probably would have started
14:07with a darker coloring of plastic
14:08and they probably may have painted
14:09the flesh tone over top of it.
14:11But there are areas, notably there on the front of his torso
14:13where you can see a little bit of the bleed
14:15going straight through.
14:16There's the head sculpt once again.
14:17Unlike Batman, though,
14:19Bane does have a sheen, as you can see.
14:21Comic shading, as you can see,
14:23all across his mask.
14:24So he's got some blue there on the front
14:26where the zipper would be.
14:27And he's got some blue highlights
14:28there on the side as well.
14:29The blue highlights then continue
14:31down the front of his tank top.
14:32So he's got a few little swipes across.
14:34Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh.
14:36Down below, down here as well.
14:37And all the way down his legs.
14:38So it's a nice little...
14:40I don't feel it necessarily takes away from the figure
14:42because initially I was kind of looking at images
14:44of this guy online and I thought,
14:45OK, it looks OK for the mask.
14:47Does it maybe take too much away from the figure
14:49when you've got so much of it now on his legs?
14:51And to be honest, it doesn't.
14:52I think the more I see this in hand,
14:54the more I like that they actually added the blue.
14:56Feeling maybe initially that they probably
14:58could have just left it off the tank top
14:59and only maybe suggested it in some areas in the legs.
15:02I think it actually works quite well for the figure.
15:04I think it...
15:05It's not obviously on the back of the figure's body,
15:07so you won't see it anywhere at all.
15:09But I think the blue kind of adds something to it.
15:11It adds a little bit of extra charm.
15:13Bane by nature, as you can see,
15:14just has a very simplified looking suit.
15:16Lower, just black trunks,
15:17and then of course he's just got the tank top.
15:19So there had to be something, I feel,
15:21just thrown in there.
15:22And I like... I personally...
15:23I personally like the blue.
15:24I think that's a nice little touch.
15:25Now, the figure's articulation is going to be
15:27the exact same as the original Bane.
15:28So the head's going to move back and forth.
15:30You're thinking to yourself,
15:31hey, humble reviewer,
15:32could you rotate the head too far
15:34to the point where this hose will break?
15:36My answer to that, though,
15:37is that even if you rotate it this way,
15:39it seems like the hose, while still getting tight,
15:42isn't tight to the point
15:43where I feel like it's going to break.
15:45I mean, yeah, if you rotated this all the way around,
15:47it would just get twisted around itself
15:49and eventually break that way.
15:50But who's going to do that?
15:51Nobody's going to do that.
15:52Head's going to look up,
15:53the head's going to look down,
15:54the head's also going to rock back and forth as well.
15:56I love that head sculpt.
15:59As for his arms,
16:00now his arms rotate...
16:02I would say it's normally said
16:03rotate all the way around.
16:05Where is maybe the original...
16:06the initial Bane?
16:07Just putting this guy down here for a second.
16:08Bring him back in the original Bane.
16:09The original Bane doesn't have restrictions
16:11because obviously the hose only goes to here.
16:13So you can, yeah,
16:14rotate his arm all the way around.
16:17This Bane, stop that.
16:18This Bane, you can't really quite do that
16:20obviously because the hose runs the way that it does.
16:22If you rotate this all the way around,
16:24it's only going to get hung up.
16:25It's going to get too tight
16:26and then it's going to snap
16:27and then you're going to run upstairs crying,
16:29crying just like...
16:32I hope that's not how you cry.
16:33But anyways, it does rotate back and forth,
16:35but I wouldn't do it all the way around.
16:37What you could do though
16:38is that you can still bring the arms out.
16:40It is still loose, unfortunately, on one side.
16:42This side actually is a little bit tighter.
16:44The figure doesn't have any swivel in his bicep,
16:46but what he does have instead is a swivel in his forearm.
16:48And there's also, like with the original Bane,
16:51a very tight joint.
16:52It's actually a little easier to bend on this side.
16:54It feels like...
16:55I almost feel like I'm cracking a lobster tail,
16:57but there's a really heavy joint there on the elbow.
17:00Hands rotate also all the way around.
17:02You can hinge them back and forth
17:03whether you use these mauling hands
17:04or use the punching hands.
17:06They work the exact same way.
17:07The only thing about this figure though
17:09is like with the original one,
17:10there is no upper torso ball joint.
17:12Like there's no separation
17:13from the top half of his giant pecs.
17:15Look at the size of these things,
17:16to the lower half of his abdomen.
17:18There's no separation between the two.
17:19I don't feel it necessarily needs it.
17:21I mean, for the way that he bends the way he is now,
17:24I mean, isn't that enough?
17:26Is that not enough for you guys
17:28that you would need to have it in two places?
17:30I don't feel like it is.
17:31Again, that's my own personal opinion.
17:33Legs do split out.
17:34They're on ratcheted joints.
17:35You can take the legs and move forward.
17:36You can move them back.
17:37Swivel at the top of the thigh.
17:39The figure does have, again,
17:40that double hinge on the knee.
17:41And again, you've got some decent articulation
17:43here for the ankle.
17:44Rocking back and forth.
17:45Good tight joints too.
17:47I don't feel like the joints at all
17:48on the ankles have suffered over time
17:50by using the same mold.
17:51I mean, you can easily rotate them
17:52back and forth, up and down,
17:53and they're super, super tight.
17:54Once again, you've got yourself
17:55your toe articulation.
17:57So again, it's always nice
17:58to have that toe articulation.
17:59And again, that's Bane.
18:00In a nutshell,
18:01the price of admission I feel for this set.
18:03I mean, nothing necessarily...
18:05I mean, again, I would say
18:06nothing necessarily was wrong with the Batman,
18:08but there were a few things
18:09that I did obviously mention
18:10in this review that were,
18:11I feel, wrong with Batman.
18:13There's the Bane once again.
18:14The original Bane that was based on...
18:15Does it also seem as if, too,
18:17the Bane seems notably taller?
18:19I don't know.
18:20Maybe it does.
18:21Maybe he seems like he is
18:22a little tad taller
18:23than the initial Bane.
18:24I feel also, too,
18:25like if you're looking at his abdomen,
18:26now that I'm seeing it,
18:27his abdomen does look like
18:28it's a little bit longer, doesn't it?
18:30From here to here.
18:31This Bane was a little shorter
18:32and a little squatter
18:33in the abdomen area.
18:34That might also equate
18:35for why this guy's a little bit taller.
18:37Also, too, I didn't mention
18:38as we're getting now, of course,
18:39wrapping up the review,
18:40is that this Bane,
18:41unlike the one before,
18:42actually they did paint in
18:43all the little hairs
18:44that he would have had
18:45on his shoulders
18:46and across his chest as well.
18:47So that's one little touch of detail
18:49that I appreciate the fact
18:50that they actually took the time
18:51to add all Bane's hairs.
18:53At the end of it, though,
18:54I mean, again,
18:55bringing back in the original
18:56Nightfall Batman,
18:57like the mold,
18:58and I've always have really said,
18:59when it comes to using that mold,
19:01the more they can release,
19:02the better.
19:03I feel like in a way, though,
19:04this Batman,
19:05while liking the initial mold,
19:06I still don't like the head sculpt.
19:08There's...
19:09I don't know.
19:10Something just ain't working for me
19:12when it comes to the head.
19:13Maybe it's, again, the grimace face.
19:14Maybe it's the fact, too,
19:15that because they've given him
19:16a blood area...
19:17You know what?
19:18Let's just move this guy out of the way.
19:19I want to make sure
19:20I cover off all the bases.
19:21I don't want you guys saying,
19:22hey, you forgot to mention one thing.
19:24Maybe it is the one thing
19:25about like being...
19:26They gave blood
19:27around his lips like this,
19:28and it does sort of result
19:29in Batman looking like
19:30he's got lipstick.
19:32There I said it.
19:33Again, like too dark
19:34of an area around his eyes,
19:35and maybe, again,
19:36with the red that they put
19:37around his lips,
19:38I just feel like maybe
19:39there's too much color.
19:40They did too much.
19:41They did too much.
19:42The cloth cape is a nice effect.
19:43I'm glad that they included
19:44a cloth cape.
19:45I just don't like the material,
19:46and I feel like it's way too big
19:48to accommodate the figure.
19:49And now, ladies and gentlemen,
19:50for your viewing pleasure,
19:51I present to you
19:52the breaking of the bat.
19:53Funny though enough,
19:54if you look at the front issue
19:55of Batman 497,
19:56where it does advertise
19:57Batman being broken,
19:58they're not hiding
19:59anything at all
20:00other than maybe
20:01that black panel
20:02that kind of cuts off
20:03one side of Bane's body.
20:04But Batman's actually
20:05facing with his head
20:06going the way
20:07that I have it right now.
20:08But if you look
20:09through the issue
20:10and get to the page
20:11where Bane actually
20:12is breaking Batman's back,
20:13Batman's head
20:14is actually facing
20:15the opposite way.
20:16It's on the other side
20:17of Bane's body.
20:18So I don't know why.
20:19I always kind of wondered
20:20that as a kid.
20:21Why wouldn't they have
20:22had Batman facing
20:23the same way
20:24on the front of the cover
20:25than it was on the inside?
20:26But it was probably
20:27one of those things.
20:28It made more sense
20:29for them to have
20:30Batman's head
20:31on the opposite side.
20:32Either way, though,
20:34that stand,
20:35I don't even know
20:36what figure that came from,
20:37but it has an indentation
20:38that's just perfect
20:39for Bane's boots.
20:40Because without that,
20:41it's pretty difficult
20:42to pull off
20:43the breaking of the back
20:44because you literally
20:45have to have Bane's legs
20:46sort of levitating
20:47in order to get the knee
20:48to make contact like this.
20:49The Bane figure
20:50does look fantastic.
20:51For me,
20:52of the two figures
20:53that get packed in this set,
20:54Bane is the one
20:55that's worth it
20:56for me at least.
20:57I mean, obviously,
20:58it takes the Bane
20:59that we got before
21:00and it just perfects it.
21:01It perfects it
21:02and it helps me
21:03modernize the other Bane
21:04but make this one
21:05a little bit more
21:06comic accurate
21:07right down to the fact
21:08that this one has
21:09shoulder hairs
21:10and hairs all across
21:11the top of his torso.
21:12I like personally
21:13the blue shading
21:14that they've added to it.
21:15It may be a bit
21:16of a detractor
21:17for some people
21:18that were just kind of
21:19hoping for a black Bane.
21:20I guess you probably
21:21could just go in there
21:22with a paintbrush
21:23and remove the black
21:24altogether.
21:25I think it adds
21:26a little something myself.
21:27Would it have worked
21:28just as well in the mask?
21:29Maybe.
21:30But I think it works
21:31just as well.
21:32Batman, I feel,
21:33honestly,
21:34is the stumbler
21:35in this two-pack.
21:36Between the head sculpt
21:37and the cloth cape
21:38that they used,
21:39neither one of them,
21:40I feel,
21:41works for this figure.
21:42If you want to go
21:43with the cloth cape,
21:44that's fine.
21:45I think a cloth cape
21:46would have worked well.
21:47In fact,
21:48a cloth cape works better
21:49because it gets out
21:50of the way of Bane's knee.
21:51But a cloth cape
21:52should have just
21:53been a cloth cape.
21:54I don't think it needed
21:55to be this nylon material
21:56that they settled on.
21:57The wire frame does help
21:58but I think it's just
21:59the wrong material.
22:00They could have chosen
22:01a different head sculpt
22:02altogether.
22:03Other than that,
22:04though,
22:05I'm really glad
22:06that I finally got the chance.
22:07This was, by the way,
22:08for anyone who was wondering,
22:09is this guy ever going
22:10to get around to looking
22:11at that Nightfall two-pack?
22:12It's been on my radar.
22:13Believe me.
22:14It just so happened to be.
22:15I checked around
22:16the online sites.
22:17For a while,
22:18in fact,
22:19Toys R Us was showing this
22:20as having it in stores.
22:21And yet,
22:22no way.
22:23There was no way
22:24I was going to be able
22:25to find this in stores.
22:26I just happened to check
22:27on Toys R Us website one day.
22:28I had myself also
22:29$100.
22:30You save $15.
22:31Somebody thinks to themselves,
22:32there's no way
22:33I'm going to spend $100.
22:34I could easily spend $100
22:35at Toys R Us.
22:36Anyways,
22:37though,
22:38I happened to see
22:39the listing on their site.
22:40I had the $15 to work with
22:41and, of course,
22:42I saved myself
22:43a little bit of money.
22:44I would have still
22:45paid the full price
22:46because I think this set
22:47is well worth the full price
22:48but it certainly helps
22:49a little bit
22:50to save a little bit of money
22:51while you're collecting.
22:52What do you guys
