00:00 So as it does sells, Newcastle United have won yet another Premier League game, St James' Park, this time 3-0 against Fulham.
00:08 In a really, really interesting game to dissect to be honest. The first half was chaotic, as most Newcastle games are, but certainly this time.
00:15 Raúl Jiménez was sent off very early on for, I would say tackle against Sean Longstaff. I'm not really sure you can call it a tackle, it was a kung fu kick, spiral thing where you go up and Longstaff high and it was definitely a red card.
00:27 From then Fulham just sat back, defended, were resilient and looked dangerous at times on the counter-attacks, especially in that first half.
00:36 But once Newcastle got that goal, which will come out now, there was no doubt the winner of that game.
00:41 Of course, as always, the victories tinged with a little bit of bad news that Fabian Schär and Joe Lindt were both forced off through injury in that first half.
00:49 Schär pulled up holding his leg, hamstring was juggling with the ball, so that wasn't ideal.
00:56 But I'd be interested to see what Eddie Howe has to say about him after the game.
00:58 And Joe Lindt, similarly, he did a lung bust and run from a box here and went down holding his leg.
01:04 So it'll be interesting to see about them too, and that's not ideal obviously.
01:07 They're two key players who have been very good this year. Hopefully they're not out too long.
01:10 But Newcastle will be pleased with their injuries, with their performance, especially in that second half.
01:15 As I said, they got the goal through Lewis Miley just before their hour mark.
01:19 Lewis Miley becoming Newcastle United's youngest ever Premier League scorer.
01:22 It was a brilliant finish, to be fair. Composure from a teenager.
01:26 He got free, Bruno with a lovely drinking run around the edge of the area, and he over-felt the Miley.
01:33 And he just tucked it home to the far corner, passed it, and he'll give them no chance.
01:36 It was a brilliant finish from a move. It was a composed finish.
01:39 And from then, Newcastle were on top.
01:41 They got the second not long after, Miguel Almiron capitalising on a loose ball in the box.
01:45 Wilson looked like he'd been fouled.
01:47 Would've been interesting to see if that had been given penalty, but it didn't matter because Almiron followed up a fired home.
01:52 And then 2-0, and that was the game really.
01:54 Fulham didn't really offer much in the second half, but after that they didn't offer anything.
01:58 Newcastle then scored a third through Burn near the end.
02:01 Bruno was outside the foot cross, found Burn at the back, poor suit.
02:05 Bundled it in really, you can't give him too much credit.
02:07 But he said he was in the right place at the right time.
02:08 He did celebrate against Old Club and that was 3-0.
02:11 Newcastle would be very happy with their reaction from that, from Wednesday night's defeat.
02:15 And what could've been a difficult game, they did well.
02:19 And what could've been difficult certainly, that's against 10 men.
02:21 Obviously we've seen them against Liverpool earlier in the season.
02:23 They haven't at times dealt well going against 10 men and a team who will defend other men behind the ball.
02:28 But yeah, they did well. They'll be pleased with that performance.
02:32 They'll have kept parity with the teams around them, let's say.
02:36 And they'll go to Chelsea on Tuesday night, very confident of getting potential results there.
02:42 Another win for Newcastle St James' Park.
02:44 Brilliant three points and one they needed after three defeats in all competitions in a row.
02:51 And that exit in the Champions League in midweek.
02:53 A promising afternoon for Eddie Howe's side and one that they will look back fondly on.
02:57 With the caveat of them injuring a player in Swinthorpe, obviously.
03:00 Eddie Howe will be speaking later and we'll have all the latest on them injuries and all the fallout
03:04 and reaction from today's game on the Shields' defence.
