00:00 So, Newcastle United win back-to-back games for the first time since December with a simply
00:06 brilliant 4-0 win here over Tottenham Hotspur. In the game where he asked 50,000 people,
00:12 52,000 people leaving the St James' Park, they were expecting that scoreline, I think
00:16 the majority of footballers said no. It was a crazy, crazy game. The first 20 minutes
00:22 to be fair, it was very open, both sides do like to attack. Tottenham play a very good
00:25 brand of football. Newcastle United, very aggressive, very front foot here at St James'
00:29 Park. It was a very, you know, very tight start. I wouldn't say tight, actually it was
00:34 quite open, sorry, but it was a very even start. I think both teams were on the front
00:38 foot without really testing the keeper. It was weird, you know, both teams had lots of
00:40 promising attacks without really testing. But Newcastle United got the breakthrough
00:43 through Alexander Izek. That was his sixth game in a row, the sixth goal in a row. He
00:48 scored at St James' Park. Anthony Gordon does brilliantly to win the ball, feeds Izek. Izek
00:54 makes no mistake, just takes it inside, puts Van der Bende on his backside and fires past
00:59 Fikari. It's 1-0 at that point and you think, right, can Newcastle, you know, we've seen
01:02 them go 1-0 up many times here at St James' but they've never really been able to hold
01:05 on. But can they do it? Can they hold on? And within two minutes, that was put to bed
01:11 when Anthony Gordon then scored a second. Again, Newcastle United press high, they win
01:16 the ball back on the left. Gordon gets found in the middle. Gordon, pretty much in similar
01:20 move to Izek, takes it on his right, Van der Bende again, falls on his backside and Gordon
01:24 slams home past Fikari. And all of a sudden it's 2-0 from 0-0 and being very tight and
01:29 not really knowing where the game was going. First goal being very important. Newcastle
01:33 find themselves 2-0 up. It was a brilliant start and one that we've seen a few times
01:37 from Newcastle. That's when they're very best in any how, ruthless. To not just get
01:42 that one but to get the second quickly and to be ruthless really. I wouldn't say the
01:45 game beyond doubt because Tottenham have great quality but they were really good and they
01:49 give themselves a platform. It could have even been more before half-time, a couple
01:52 of good chances. Isaac had a header, a couple of headers from corners. It was one of them
01:56 where Newcastle deserved to go in 2-0, felt there could have been more. And then when
02:01 they get out after half-time, you do worry about what's Postacoglou been able to say
02:05 to his team. Eddie Howe is very little from the bench and we all know how tired some of
02:11 their players are being. Can they react? Can they deliver another full-throttle, second-half
02:17 performance in the way but they do that. They scored. I think it was 5-10 minutes, I don't
02:22 really know. I can't remember the adrenaline in my soul and my thoughts are out of control
02:29 but we'll try and bear through. Isaac scored, it was a lovely ball over the top by Bruno.
02:35 Isaac took it down well, ran it to Vakaria. Vakaria didn't know where that come and go
02:39 and Isaac said it passed him. It was a bit of a muted celebration. It was weird. I think
02:42 a lot of people thought Isaac might be offside at a very tight. Tottenham obviously play
02:45 that high line but it was shown that almost instantly as soon as Bruno kicked it, Isaac
02:49 was in his home half so offside doesn't matter. It was a brilliant finish from Isaac and something
02:53 you wouldn't expect from him. They had two goals from him, the Gatsby 3-0 up and that's
02:57 really game. They did brilliantly before the hour mark, a 3-0 up and that was it. I think
03:04 Eddie Howe and the team then took the foot off the gas a little bit, stopped pressing
03:08 his high up and they just defended a little bit more, took the thing out of the game really.
03:12 That's what they needed to do. Tottenham had more of the ball and had a couple of chances
03:15 to crack on. They had a couple of saves but nothing that you wouldn't expect them to make.
03:18 In the end, I think Newcastle really frustrated their visitors. Son Heung-Min was taken off
03:23 a 3-0. James Madison was taken off near the end of the game. So all these big players,
03:29 all these ones that were heading into the game for a very good goal to get some problems,
03:31 didn't really have anything. No chances as they were taken off and didn't end on a field.
03:35 And then Newcastle finished it off in style. Fabian Schär got on at the end of it, Anthony
03:39 Gordon cornered. Now Gordon was on set pieces and he put in some really good deliveries to be fair.
03:43 And this one, he hung up high at the back stick and that Fabian Schär ran onto it,
03:48 bullets, header, back across the key band to the far post and gave the car in. No chance Newcastle,
03:55 4-0 and that was a story again. It was a brilliant performance, brilliant win for Newcastle,
03:59 especially coming into the game not knowing what team you need to put out, what squad really with
04:04 Worcester Lewis Hall, Joe Willock, with all the other injury problems. But it was good to see
04:09 Newcastle really put any of them issues to bed and really give them a platform to build on for
04:13 now. They've now taken 10 points from the last four games. It's a brilliant return. They ended
04:18 the day in sixth actually. Started the day in eighth, ended the day in sixth, topped them,
04:21 started the day in fourth, ended the day in fifth. So from having four places between them,
04:26 they now end up with just one at the end of the game. But yeah, fantastic performance from
04:30 Eddie Outside, one that he would no doubt be delighted with and one that will be very
04:32 interesting to see what he says after the game. Obviously, I'm going to try and see
04:35 some players here at the end of the game to see what they say. But yeah, it was a fantastic day
04:39 out for Newcastle. Fantastic. The 52,000 supporters here and another brilliant win over
04:43 Tottenham Hotspur. So yeah, Newcastle 84, Tottenham Hotspur, now.
