In today’s Daily Reflection, we explore how Jesus restores Peter through a tender exchange in John 21:15-17, reminding us that our failures do not disqualify us from our calling and purpose in His service."Your past may remind you, but it doesn't define you. Maybe we've messed up. Maybe we've walked away. "But we need to remember that Jesus still wants us. He still wants to work with us. I often think about where God's calling for me. My kind of caused me to forget that he's called me to serve, to love. And he hasn't changed his mind about me. "He hasn't changed his mind about us. Jesus, I want to thank you right now because you restore what is broken. "Thank you for calling us. Thank you for making us know that we are called to serve. We're not just forgiven, and it is our choice to accept this and live like it."

00:00The Chibi News Daily Reflection
00:04Hello, my name is Nims Abungay and I'm the pastor of Freedom's Ark Church and member of the Evangelical Alliance here in the Tottenham Town Hall.
00:14I want to welcome you to today's devotions.
00:17In John chapter 21 verse 15 to 17, we witness a tender power exchange.
00:23Jesus says to Peter and he's asking,
00:26Do you love me, Simon, son of Jonas?
00:28And do you love me more than these?
00:31And he says this three times and Peter replies, Lord, you know, I love you.
00:36And all these three times, Jesus says, feed my sheep or tend my lamb.
00:40But why three times?
00:42You see, Peter had denied Jesus three times.
00:45And so Jesus was not punishing him by this.
00:48He was restoring him.
00:49This was actually grace in motion.
00:52Jesus wasn't just forgiving Peter.
00:54He was recommissioning him, giving him a sense of purpose.
00:59It's a moment that says to all of us, our failure does not disqualify our calling.
01:05Greg Gruchel once said, your past may remind you, but it doesn't define you.
01:12Maybe we've messed up.
01:13Maybe we've walked away.
01:14But we need to remember that Jesus still wants us.
01:17He still wants to work with us.
01:19And I often think about where God's calling for me might kind of cause me to forget that he's called me to serve, to love.
01:27And he hasn't changed his mind about me.
01:29He hasn't changed his mind about us.
01:31Jesus, I want to thank you right now because you restore what is broken.
01:35Thank you for calling us.
01:36Thank you for making us know that we are called to serve.
01:40We're not just forgiven.
01:42And it is our choice to accept this and live like it.
