In today’s Daily Reflection, we explore the hope found in Revelation 21:4, a promise that pain and sorrow will not last forever, and are reminded that, even in darkness, we are called to be a light and comfort to those who are hurting."We reach out to those who are hurting. Our world might be the light that they are praying for. "Just being there to speak the right words. And so, God, I thank you that suffering has an expiration date and that you have given us the ability to help others who are in hardship. Tears may fall now, but God is always preparing to wipe away our tears."

00:04Hello, my name is Nimsa Bungay, and I'm the pastor of Freedom's Ark, a member of the Evangelical Alliance here in the Tottenham Town Hall.
00:14And today's reflection, we hear from a beautiful promise in Revelation chapter 21, verse 4.
00:20And God shall wipe away all tears from your eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away.
00:34This was written to Christians who were suffering intense persecution.
00:38They needed to know pain would not be permanent.
00:42God was still working on writing the story.
00:45Maybe we need that reminder today.
00:47Today, Archbishop Desmond Tutu once said this.
00:51He said, hope is being able to see that there is light despite all the darkness.
00:57Today, we can look for the light in the midst of our darkness.
01:00It may be small, but the reality, it's there.
01:04And here's something we can do, and we do as Christians.
01:07We reach out to those who are hurting.
01:09Our worlds might be the light that they're praying for, just being there to speak the right words.
01:15And so, God, I thank you that suffering has an expiration date, and that you have given us the ability to help others who are in hardship.
01:25Tears may fall now, but God is always preparing to wipe away our tears.
