Chakothi (PoK), May 14, 2025 (ANI): Residents in PoK ‘welcome, but skeptical’ about India-Pakistan ceasefire understanding. After three days of escalation between across borders, ceasefire understanding was reached on eve of May 10. However, Pakistan violated the ceasefire understanding several time since May 10. In Chakothi, border town near LoC in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, residents slowly resumed their daily routines. Residents of Chakothi welcomed the ceasefire, but expressed their skepticism about its longevity. Pakistan escalated militarily after India conducted Operation Sindoor targeting terrorist hotbeds in Pakistan, PoK on May 07. Operation Sindoor was conducted in retaliation to terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22.
