00:00at Ibrox. Let's have a quick recap now of all the Saturday Premiership action.
00:08Elliott walked in with the corner kick for St Johnston.
00:12It's a good leap! It's gone in! St Johnston with a huge goal!
00:22Daniel Balonis with just his second St Johnston goal, puts his side in front,
00:27just beyond the half-hour mark, and Amisa could not stretch to keep it out,
00:33down off the crossbar, it's a terrific header from Balonis,
00:37and Amisa could not prevent it from crossing the goal line.
00:44Sprangler into Holt, quickly closed down, County have pinched it, Nisbet now,
00:50Phillips moves ahead of him, this could be promising for County, good ball,
00:53and there's the equaliser, and it's Alex Samuel, County level,
01:00five minutes before the interval, it's a good ball in from Phillips, and Samuel
01:08in at the near post to poke it, beyond Fisher, his only other goal this season
01:16came against St Johnston in the 3-3 in Dingwall, that one could be absolutely massive.
01:21It's a good period this for St Johnston, keeping Ross County hemmed in,
01:28can they capitalise on it though? Watt into Sidibe, can he get turned and get the shot off,
01:33straight in, Amisa comes for Watt, who curls it home, and St Johnston back in front!
01:40Watt, smiles again on the Saints bench, as Elliott Watt comes up, trumps in front of goal.
01:52Well they had been pressing just in the last few minutes,
01:55and eventually, although Sidibe's shot was kept out, Amisa could do nothing about the rebound for Watt.
02:06St Johnston know their work is not done yet, as they prepare to defend this corner kick,
02:12and they haven't done so, and County have grabbed a second leveller, and little surprised it is Ronan Hale who claims it.
02:22And it was a poacher's effort this.
02:24Now, I think Hale's offside, is he? Just there.
02:32He's going to chop it off.
02:36It's a free kick to St Johnston, dismay and despair, writ large.
02:42They've played almost ten minutes of added on time.
02:48And St Johnston get the free kick, and surely now they have done enough.
02:52And Zach Ashworth's been shown a straight red card.
02:57In the eleventh minute of injury time, County reduced to ten men.
03:03Frustration boiling over.
03:05Armstrong swings to the back post.
03:13Oh, it's Liam Donnelly who goes down, and it will be a penalty.
03:17Don Robertson points to the spot.
03:21And a yellow card to boot for Seb Palmer Holden.
03:25Palmer Holden just checking over his shoulder and colliding with Donnelly.
03:30Don Robertson thinks it's deliberate.
03:35Danny Armstrong from the spot.
03:38Oh, that's a brilliant penalty.
03:41And Kilmarnock take the lead.
03:45A second from the spot in two weeks for Danny Armstrong.
03:50And a similarly passionate celebration as well.
03:55Carson takes the free kick.
03:58Oh, Murray goes down in the box.
03:59Now Kyle Vassell is only just on.
04:01It's a clumsy challenge from the striker.
04:07And Don Robertson is being called across to the screen here by Gavin Duncan, the VAR.
04:13Well, Don Robertson's not actually been shown a replay of this.
04:17And there is a reason for that.
04:20The VAR has decided that the initial contact was outside the box.
04:25So therefore they cannot get involved.
04:31Nice ball over the top.
04:32And Finn Robertson latches onto this.
04:34Adewimi driving at the defence.
04:37He slips through for Cameron.
04:38And it's Cameron who gets there first.
04:40And the ball trickles in.
04:43Dundee really from nowhere have their equaliser.
04:48And it's Lyle Cameron with it.
04:50Well, it looked like David Watson had done enough.
04:53It looked like the young midfielder had got there first.
04:57But Cameron just wants it more and slides in.
05:01Watson can't quite adjust his feet.
05:06Who can Koemarnik respond?
05:07Here's Murray again causing trouble.
05:12His cross cut out.
05:13Donnelly picks up though.
05:16Second chance for Murray.
05:17It comes to Donnelly instead.
05:20Clipped into the middle.
05:20There's Anderson.
05:24Well, that's one way to make amends for that first half miss.
05:30Bruce Anderson flying through the air to power the header in.
05:35And the parity that Dundee had restored lasts really only a few seconds.
05:41Danny Armstrong, so deadly from the set piece.
05:46Curls all the way to the back post and Robbie Dees is there.
05:493-1 Kilmarnik.
05:53Game, set and match surely.
05:56Derek McInnes enjoying that one.
05:59They've really threatened from the set pieces today.
06:02Robertson plays the 1-2.
06:07Flarkesh gets the break of the ball.
06:12Tries to pick out a man in the middle.
06:14Lyle Cameron.
06:16Good footwork.
06:17And it's a fine finish as well.
06:18And it's a fine finish as well.
06:20Lasered into the bottom corner.
06:23Just a few minutes remaining in this one.
06:26But it will be a tense finale at Rugby Park.
06:29And Dundee have given themselves a chance now.
06:33Thanks to Lyle Cameron.
06:34His second of the afternoon.
06:37And the best strike of the game really.
06:39Fulton sends it long.
06:45Oh no, Donald's misjudged that.
06:48And here's Lauren Shankland.
06:49It's Shankland!
06:50A goal from the captain.
07:01Shankland goes up the pitch.
07:04And produces a lovely finish.
07:12Halliday sends this one in.
07:16Back in from Mullerwell.
07:18Halkett.
07:19Only half clears.
07:19And there's Slattery!
07:22Well that's a lovely goal.
07:25Classy stuff from Callum Slattery to bring Motherwell level.
07:34Hearts just can't get this clear.
07:35Halkett's under pressure.
07:37And it's not an easy finish.
07:40Well then.
07:42Referee Ryan Lee has been called over on his Premiership debut.
07:45To have another look at this.
07:51And that's Dan Casey.
07:53He's jumping there.
07:55Perhaps in an offside position.
07:59Is he interfering with the goalkeeper's line of sight?
08:01That's the call that the referee has to make.
08:07That's why he's been brought over.
08:10And his decision is that Dan Casey is interfering.
08:12No goal.
08:13And it is as you were at Tyne Castle.
08:23Forrester.
08:25Grant.
08:27Penrice in space.
08:28Picks out Shankland.
08:29And 2-0.
08:34Back-to-back braces for Lauren Shankland.
08:42He's laying down a bit of a marker.
08:45With a late season surge.
08:46Hearts enjoying themselves in the Edinburgh Sun now.
08:55Danda.
08:56Comes in on the right foot.
08:58Spilled by Oxborough.
08:59Forrest is there.
09:00And that should do it.
09:06Two goals in two minutes.
09:08Kill Motherwell's hopes.
09:10Broad smiles all round from those in Maroon.
09:16Oxborough couldn't deal with the dipping ball.
09:19And Forrest on hand to tuck it away.
09:21And breaks to Chris Cadden.
09:35Good ball across.
09:36Just too high for Boyle.
09:38It's going to break to him here though.
09:41Hips in front.
09:46And that could be a huge goal.
09:48An 18th goal of the season.
09:54From Martin Boyle.
09:58And this could go a long way to ending that long wait for a win here.
10:03And to securing that coveted third spot.
10:16That's for Ida.
10:18And then Kuhn goes round the goalkeeper.
10:20And that's 1-1.
10:27Well Ida chased it.
10:29And he did enough here to put off Bushiri.
10:33And Kuhn.
10:34It's a simple task in the end.
10:37Scored twice at Tanadice with Celtic.
10:39Clinched the league a fortnight ago.
10:42Returned to goal scoring form.
10:44That's for sure.
10:48Kukarevic does well there.
10:49He missed a couple of big chances here earlier in the season.
10:52Here's Boyle.
10:53Oh he slips at the crucial moment.
10:56And it was a crucial moment.
10:57Because his next thought was to score.
11:03Massive chance.
11:04Boyle's at a hat-trick off them.
11:10As we knock on the break here.
11:11It's Adam Ida.
11:16And from behind Celtic lead.
11:20And that's what they do to you.
11:21Look at it.
11:22A sliding doors moment in this game.
11:25Kuhn this time.
11:26The set up man.
11:28Kuhn's got 21 goals this season.
11:30He's now got 15 assists.
11:32And there's Ida who's closing in on the 20 goal mark himself.
11:35Maida across.
11:42Slips through the fingers of Smith.
11:44McGregor for Engels.
11:46And Hatate.
11:51That's brilliantly worked.
11:52You get the fortune of the Hibs goalkeeper.
11:58However, the first time passing here.
12:01Kuhn to McGregor to Engels.
12:03And Hatate swept it home.
12:10United were victorious in the previous three meetings against St Mirren already this season.
12:18But it's Mandron looking to attack early.
12:20Walton looked troubled.
12:24Mandron was the match winner against Aberdeen and Paisley last Saturday.
12:30Looking to get St Mirren off to a flyer today.
12:37Odolu, not a clean header.
12:39Does well at the second time of asking.
12:44Middleton recycles the ball.
12:46And now crosses.
12:49Oh, and Dalby's there with the header.
12:53Looking for lead goal number 15.
12:57Usually so efficient from that kind of position.
13:00Philips.
13:09Phillips.
13:12Olivia Osu.
13:13That's tidy footwork.
13:15Mikhail Mandron.
13:16St Mirren have the opener.
13:22And it's a seventh league goal for the French forward.
13:28The match winner last Saturday.
13:30This could be another massive Mikhail Mandron moment for St Mirren.
13:37And it's such a tidy finish too.
13:40Caresses it with the left foot.
13:42Almost passing it into the net.
13:44Alibi Osu.
13:53Strugs off the challenge.
13:54St Mirren have the numbers here.
13:58It's a strong stop from Jack Walton.
14:02Keeping Dundee United in it at the moment.
14:04Alibi Osu had one thing on his mind charging towards goal.
14:14St Mirren sweep up from the Dundee United throw.
14:17That's a slip from Docherty.
14:20And St Mirren now looking to stretch their advantage.
14:23Ayunga taking aim.
14:25And Jonah Ayunga grabs St Mirren second.
14:35The travelling support delighted.
14:38As is the striker.
14:41United caught out.
14:42Ayunga just so relaxed as he shifts it onto the left foot.
14:47And powers the shot below Walton.
14:49And that gives the buddies some comfort now.
14:52Dundee United now.
14:53St Mirren two.
14:56After all of that the William Hill Premiership table looks like this.
15:00Rangers 17 points behind Celtic.
15:02Hibbs in the driving seat for third place.
15:05The race for Europe very much alive for St Mirren.
15:08And at the bottom an angst ridden week awaits St Johnston, Ross County and Dundee.
15:14It's suddenly very exciting times for St Mirren.
15:17Great victory puts them two points behind Dundee United in the race for Europe.
15:22Callum, do you see St Mirren getting into Europe again?
15:26Every chance.
15:27Yeah.
15:27I think the results have been fantastic.
15:29I think Steven Robertson has had a brilliant season.
15:33He just made the top six all of a sudden and a couple of really good wins as well.
15:37Dundee United who, for me, again, probably those two teams have been probably teams that have punched
15:43well above themselves and managed to have a fantastic season.
15:46Dundee United have got a few injuries.
15:48So it makes it a wee bit exciting.
15:50But I think all credit to St Mirren for giving themselves the opportunity going into the final two games.
15:55We have to talk about St Johnston, Callum.
15:59Hand on heart.
16:00Do they need to get that win at Tyne Castle against Hearts, which looks like a huge task to survive or avoid at least finishing bottom?
16:10I think the results are probably going to be so important.
16:13I don't think the win is imperative.
16:15I think, obviously, Ross County are playing Dundee on the same night.
16:19So there's going to be points dropped or points shared.
16:21So I think for me, the results are the most important thing.
16:24Can they get a result?
16:25Can they then take it to the last game when they think they played Dundee in the last game?
16:28So, you know, for me, that's the big one.
16:30They give themselves a chance as well.
16:31I'd like St Mirren.
16:32You know, they're fighting away.
16:33You see the positivity from the manager.
16:35They haven't had a great season, but they're still in there.
16:37They're still fighting.
16:38And you never know.
16:40Football's a funny game.
16:41We've watched it a long time.
16:43It's always, it comes down to pressure.
16:44Who can handle the pressure the best?
16:46You sound quite positive.
16:47Is this heart-ruling head slightly?
16:48Maybe, yes, it is.
16:50But I think it's, for me, you know, you want to give yourselves the opportunity.
16:54I think they got a big result there at the weekend.
16:57And I think they give themselves, going into these last two games, something to fight for.
17:01The big thing for me is they can't get beat.
17:02Obviously, if the results go against them, obviously, we're a draw at Dundee.
17:07But it's going to be, that's it.
17:08So I think, for me, they've got to go and try and get something from the game.
17:11It's going to be tough, obviously, against Hearts.
17:13Lawrence Shankland, once again, scoring goals.
17:15Who'd have thought it, Calum?
17:17I mean, it's been quite the rejuvenation from everything.
17:20It's five goals in the last three matches.
17:22Yes, incredible.
17:22Sometimes there's little tweaks, little changes, formations, etc.
17:25Managers?
17:26Yeah, managers, yeah.
17:27It might be managers as well.
17:28Different position he's playing in.
17:29They obviously reverted back to kind of 4-3-3 formation at Hearts.
17:34And he's obviously scoring the goals.
17:35He is one of those players who can score from anywhere.
17:38A little bit today, Kevin Nisbet, again, for Aberdeen.
17:40He's one of these players who can score.
17:41You know, and it's a big, big, he's a big player for Hearts.
17:44Hopefully, he'll be quiet on Wednesday night, though.
17:46Speaking of Hearts, we can't not mention the elephant in the room.
17:51The Derek McInnes story, obviously, manager Kilmarnock.
17:54Got a great result for Kilmarnock this weekend.
17:56But heavily linked with the Hearts job.
18:01Were that to happen, Callum, what would Derek McInnes bring to Hearts?
18:06I think, for me, he's got a ton of experience.
18:09I think his passion for the game is incredible.
18:13He's been there.
18:14He's done it before.
18:14You know, he gets the players going.
18:16He understands the league.
18:19You know, he's done a fantastic job at Aberdeen.
18:21You know, when he was there for numerous years and always in that top end,
18:26always in the cup finals.
18:28Again, he's obviously helped with Kilmarnock.
18:29He's been fantastic at Kilmarnock.
18:30They've had a little bit tougher season this season.
18:32But again, they've been playing in Europe as well, which is always tough.
18:35So he has that sort of experience where he can galvanise.
18:39He understands what, if it is Hearts he goes to, he understands what they need.
18:44He'd be a fantastic opponent for the club.
18:46Do you think you'd fit in with all that kind of analytics stuff
18:48that Hearts are obviously buying into now as well?
18:51I think as manager now in coaches, you have to buy into it.
18:53You have to look forward.
18:54You can never just think about the past.
18:55And I think Derek's one of those who always tries to improve.
18:58You know, he always tries to bring different ideas.
19:00And I think it's one of those things as managers.
19:02And Derek will know himself.
19:04He will buy into that.
19:06Callum Davidson, thank you very much for your company today.
