00:00i did a game of peace obviously no stephan curry for the foreseeable future in this one
00:04but it's going back to chase center tomorrow and you did your job overall but it was disappointing
00:10there were some disappointing aspects yesterday that we're going to continue to discuss

00:19but it was a mixed bag overall um joe i tease heading into this jk but i do think the big story

00:37technical foul on nas reed after he did a spinning back fist that you know joe rogan would be impressed
00:42with in the ufc but here's draymond uh just one statement one statement only in the locker room
00:48after the game look like the angry black man i'm not an angry black man i'm a very successful educated
00:54black man with a great family and i'm great at basketball i'm great at what i do to keep the
00:59agenda to try to keep making me look like an angry black man it's crazy i'm sick of it it's ridiculous
01:04and that was after the game yesterday and as i alluded to he did have a technical foul
01:08and i guess there was an interaction between some fans he was on the elliptical on the side
01:13um there was a lot happening but all i know is they need draymond at his best in this series
01:20they need him at his best and they need him on the court so yeah um there was a lot yesterday to
01:28say the least i don't know i have a very hard time like deciphering what was said right there and what
01:35you know he wants all of us to talk about today i don't even know if he wants us to talk about it
01:38but we're going to because he's such a huge part of this team and i want to talk about the player i
01:44want to talk about just on the court stuff but you know that it was off the court yesterday and on the
01:50court he hit nazare in the face and it deserved a technical foul it did i'm always here for the
01:56fan behavior conversation because i just do think that not everyone but a small percentage of idiots
02:02think that because they buy a ticket they can say whatever they want and do whatever they want
02:08and act however they want and that's just not true and you have a small percentage of people
02:13which leaves an imprint on you and i want to make it very clear like a small percentage of idiots
02:19who say things that are completely unacceptable in every walk of society as i sent you the video
02:25so yeah so a fan was ejected at last night's timberwolves warriors game for directing a racial
02:30slur at draymond per the team's security green was on a stationary bike in the tunnel near the bench
02:36when he had a back and forth with a fan so i'm seeing this for the first time you just i don't
02:40know when exactly when that was and nor do i look there's an element of like it's impossible for
02:46me to tell draymond you got to shake it off and not think about it just keep on going i'm not him
02:50i don't know what was exactly said it's hard to decipher in the video you can't really hear it it's
02:56but clearly he was upset and i understand that um and it's easy for me to say compartmentalize and
03:03move on it's a lot harder to actually do that now what we saw on the floor in the first quarter
03:08was a guy that just looked a little tentative you know um and this is before he went onto the
03:13stationary bike and then whatever happened with him and nas read in the official it just can't
03:20happen it just can't happen right now and so i'm i'm gonna separate the two incidents as best i can
03:25i don't know if he did i hope that he did but let's separate them and it's like with steph out we
03:31can't have you get a flagrant get a technical we can't have you lose emotional focus this team
03:38the margin of error with steph isn't big and the margin of sarah without steph is
03:43yeah i mean minuscule isn't even a word to describe it so if draymond is not going to stay focused and

05:01you know draymond's gotten kicked out and maybe it was fan related maybe it was not
05:04but in yesterday's circumstance given everything that's taken place and you already mentioned it
05:09stephan curry being out that guy and jimmy butler need to be your best players they just they just need
05:15to be they need to be your best and most consistent players and him even flirting with ejection
05:20was just tough if you're a fan watching that game it's like draymond we need you we need steph had to
05:24come out onto the court to talk him down steve kerr actually talked about it after the game um you
05:29know draymond that's what makes him a competitor overall and that fieriness and that that tenacity
05:34is what makes him a hall of famer uh at the end of the day it's part of it's part of draymond you
05:40know his the same thing that makes him such a competitor and a winner puts him over the top sometimes and
05:47you know we we know that and uh it's our job to try to help him stay poised stay composed but the
05:54competition uh is so meaningful meaningful to him that you know occasionally he he goes over the line

12:03of the playoffs i think he knows we all know i thought he got fouled and you know maybe he's trying

13:09are stacking up and if they lose him for any game at all you know that's the heart and soul of your
13:14defense that you're gonna lose just like the heart and soul of the offense is stephan curry

13:22field goal attempts if both of those guys are out that's the last thing this team needs because

13:51last series yes within the first three minutes oh really that's in the first three minutes the game

14:05five last a couple weeks ago or last week whenever it was god these series are all blended together

14:18chance opportunities their execution was awful and guys were a little afraid of the moment i didn't get
14:23the sense on draymond until the flagrant situation and that's when i was like dude you gotta rein it
14:28in here like because it was a seminal point in the game it felt like the warriors were kind of crawling
14:32back up it was one of those you look up god we're lucky to be down 14 right we're still in this and i do
14:38i do that as a player as a fan coach like hey guys we're right where we want them like it just cut
14:43this to single digits and then when he lost control he's like all right he needs to go sit on the bench for
14:48a minute yeah he needs to gather himself we might not be able to to get him back you know focus wise in
14:53this game
