00:00All righty, Warriors get beat in game two by the T-Wolves, 117-93, no Steph Curry.
00:08Minnesota played better than in game one.
00:12Warriors didn't play well.
00:15Draymond Green got a technical foul.
00:18And now we're coming back to the Bay.
00:20What's up, Goo?
00:21Yeah, what's up, baby?
00:23I gotta tell you, it's 1-1 on this beautiful Friday, and I'm a little despondent.
00:29And, Stiney, you know I react to new information, and what I'm reacting on is 48 more minutes of a playoff series between Minnesota and Golden State, and I'm gonna just start here.
00:41Jimmy Butler, I believe, is still hurt.
00:45And to his credit, he's not using that.
00:48And the reason I start my theory on what went down yesterday with him is because he's the most important player.
00:58And, Stiney, if that's the Jimmy Butler we're going to get for the rest of this series or the next couple games, because Steph's out, it's a rant.
01:05It's a wrap.
01:07And this team went the first five, six minutes without scoring a bucket.
01:11I didn't feel like he was assertive.
01:12I think it starts with him.
01:13But, man, I don't know, Stiney.
01:17I just don't know how a team could lose.
01:21And Curry, again, may come back.
01:23But any team in the association lose their best player.
01:26This is where I'm at.
01:27And we still expect him to win a series.
01:30Is that what it's really about, partner?
01:33Because that's where I'm at.
01:34I'm not mad at anybody.
01:37Pods, Moody, everybody's playing their tails off.
01:41There's a whole other thing.
01:42If we got to do it today, we got to do it.
01:44We keep it real from 10 to 2.
01:46Jonathan Kaminga can put the ball in the hole.
01:48Whoa.
01:49You know?
01:50So, so many feelings going through my body right now that I'm going to just leave it at Jimmy has to be ultra aggressive if this team's going to do something without Steph.
02:02And you say what to that?
02:03Good morning, man.
02:04Um, I say nobody tells Jimmy how to play.
02:07You said that!
02:09And he said as much at the podium last night.
02:12We'll talk a lot about what he said.
02:15And we'll talk a lot about this game, obviously.
02:19Um, I mean, I did feel like yesterday, there was, there was an, how do I want to put it?
02:30Give it to me.
02:31I didn't think some Warrior fans were realizing how difficult it's going to be without Steph Curry.
02:37And maybe I'm at their, I'm at the porch right now on that doorstep.
02:41And it is, you know, I'm talking to Susan, like, after the first quarter and she's like, how's it going?
02:49I'm like, they're getting beat pretty bad.
02:51And she said, uh, what's going on?
02:53I said, they don't have Steph Curry.
02:57Man.
02:58And it, it's unbelievable how much this guy impacts everything.
03:04Can I call that gravity?
03:06I'm talking about, I'm not even talking about just on the court.
03:10Oh, okay.
03:11Gotcha.
03:11Gotcha.
03:11I'm talking about this guy is, he affects everything.
03:18He affects every single player on the team.
03:24It affects all the coaches because they've got to do something different.
03:29It includes all the fans who now are, you know, disappointed that he's out.
03:36And it's just incredible how this one guy, you, you realize everything revolves around him.
03:44And when they don't have him, they're not the warriors.
03:48They're just not the warriors without Steph Curry.
03:51Wow.
03:52Wow.
03:52So with that said, what do you do in the meantime?
03:57Because I felt like, and I heard from a lot of people, I don't agree with it.
04:03I don't care if you're at one Oh, that you don't have a game to play.
04:06Or trick off and have tryouts because that's what it felt like Steve Kerr was doing.
04:12And a lot of warrior fans were okay with, you know what?
04:15We already won one.
04:16Well, you're not the same team.
04:19And we saw that yesterday.
04:20So I don't know what to expect tomorrow night.
04:23And I'm not mad at the effort.
04:25I thought it was there, but all of a sudden the youngsters, Donnie, are, you know,
04:30they got to pass that final exam and they're not passing it.
04:33And I don't know if it's because the brights are too light,
04:35but Draymond Green, you almost got throughout the game.
04:40And you know what Norm said to me?
04:42What?
04:42He don't like to play when Steph's out.
04:44And it hit me like a bag of bricks.
04:47That doesn't apply to the playoffs, does it?
04:50And he almost got thrown out.
04:52So I don't think he did us any good.
04:54And we'll get to his comments after.
04:57But Stiney, Jimmy Butler, 13 field goal attempts when the chef is out,
05:02I believe he's hurt.
05:05And shout out to Dajon.
05:07I mean, I can't muster.
05:09When did he get hurt?
05:11The spiel against Houston game two.
05:15Like that's still lingering.
05:17You don't like that?
05:18I don't care.
05:19I mean, maybe you might be right, but like none.
05:23That wasn't it, right?
05:24That wasn't the recipe, Jimmy.
05:27You brought up Draymond Green.
05:32Oh boy, man.
05:34And it's unbelievable.
05:36Lord help me.
05:37I'm not touching the comments after the game right now.
05:41Okay.
05:43We win.
05:43I'm just saying this.
05:46I don't know how he doesn't get ejected from that game last night.
05:52He has one technical foul.
05:56He's right in front of the ref's face.
06:00And twice says, that's FNBS.
06:04That's FNBS.
06:06And then he walks to half court and he starts pointing to the other official
06:11and saying the same thing.
06:14And I'm thinking, but the way he's saying it, I'm interrupting.
06:17So you're allowed, you're allowed to go up to the ref and now say that.
06:21Okay.
06:22And I know, I get, I know exactly what's happening.
06:25He had one technical.
06:27They knew it and they just didn't want, they didn't want to be the guys.
06:31That's BS.
06:33And a lot of people are going to disagree with me.
06:35I guarantee you.
06:36A lot of people are going to say, you're crazy, Stiney.
06:39He shouldn't have been thrown out.
06:40He shouldn't have even gotten one technical.
06:42I saw him run down a referee who was at the score table and Draymond got a foul.
06:48He ran him down as if he had bad intentions.
06:51I know he didn't.
06:52But Doris Burke said it when he knocked Jalen Green in the face.
06:56And then he just was in front of his team 72 hours ago, guys.
07:00Make this make sense.
07:02Apologizing for starting the game off, hitting Jalen Green upside the head.
07:06So then now, all of a sudden, you're the victim?
07:09And when did he start flailing?
07:12Dude, come on, man.
07:13We've been around him more than a few blocks.
07:16You're hitting these dudes.
07:18When did you start flailing?
07:20And for you to say, and I sent you the video last Friday night.
07:24I went to the game, came back home.
07:26I got to control my emotions and watch the game.
07:29And the great Doris Burke and company talked about the play where he hit green early, Stiney.
07:36And Steve Curry didn't even like it.
07:38And she said there's a double standard.
07:40And the double standard is now you want to play victim.
07:44And the refs are giving you passes left and right for you to continue to play.
07:50Hey, so we'll save it, but miss me with all this, oh, the world's out to get you.
07:59Yeah.
08:00And that's coming from a black man.
08:03Yeah, I, we'll talk about the game, obviously, too.
08:08I just thought, okay, so playing without Steph Curry is, boy, I mean, Jimmy Butler, in essence, just got here.
08:23And he's played 30 or 40 games, and he's used to playing with Steph Curry, and he's starting to get used to playing with Steph Curry.
08:31And now Curry's gone, and everybody's now got to figure out how to play with Butler, and Butler only.
08:38It's a lot to ask.
08:40And now, especially, you're going to, everybody under the sun knows that Jimmy Butler has to be outstanding to win this series if you're Golden State.
08:51The Timberwolves know that, too.
08:53And it's interesting because he's the kind of player that doesn't like to force things, and so he's going to, he and the Warriors are going to have to play that game of what's the perfect amount and dose of Jimmy Butler
09:09and the perfect amount of the others to sprinkle around him.
09:15Like, they almost have, it almost feels like last night they were saying, we understand tonight's going to be a brutal game to win,
09:23but we've got to figure out how we're even going to play from game three to game six or seven.
09:30But, Stani, am I wrong to say you should already have those answers?
09:34Well, no, because Butler's been the number two here, essentially.
09:37And, yeah, I mean, we're all familiar with his game now, but this is also what I mean about Steph Curry.
09:45The difference in a team that has Steph Curry and doesn't, it was totally on display last night.
09:54He affects everything.
09:57Per 100 possessions with Steph Curry, Stani, they score 116 points.
10:03Guess how many without him?
10:0593.
10:06I mean.
10:07That, just think about that.
10:09Like, I'm really, truly worried now moving forward, and I'm not mad at anybody.
10:16Worried about what?
10:17Just this series.
10:18Well, I mean.
10:19Minnesota is not Houston, but they're not chopped liver defensively and lengthwise.
10:26And that has a lot to do, like, I'm surprised the Warriors got to the line 25 times.
10:30But, Stani, if it starts, Jimmy Butler's got to be Steph Curry.
10:34Do you have a problem with that?
10:37Well, he, I mean, if you're talking they need him to get 30 or 35, yes, but he can't get him like Steph.
10:43It's going to take a lot longer.
10:45He doesn't shoot threes.
10:46He's not going to make eight threes.
10:48So, he's going to have to get him two by two, and if he can get to the line, he can get to the line.
10:55But it's more that, I mean, you've got to figure out how to even use him.
11:01And make sure that when you run it through him, guys aren't standing around.
11:08And they've got to figure this all out by tomorrow.
11:11Wow, you said tomorrow.
11:13Annie.
11:14Again, the other thing, I mean, it doesn't matter now, but I thought this was going to be a really tough series with Steph Curry for the Warriors.
11:23Well, there it is.
11:24And without Steph Curry, it's a different team.
11:32Yeah.
11:33But what's happened to the others?
11:35I'm throwing GP2 in there, Pods, Moody.
11:39Stoddy, what's happened to the others?
11:41And I'm telling you, I got this on my list.
11:45They made Buddy Hill put that damn ball on the floor, Stoddy.
11:48It wasn't an old Klay Thompson or Buddy Hill catch and shoot, and that's a difference.
11:53And, you know, is it the bright lights?
11:59Because they're killing this team right now.
12:01And, you know, I'm talking about Jimmy, but we've got to keep it real, man.
12:05Remember when you asked me about why I didn't think the Warriors were going to win it?
12:10This is back in maybe a month or two ago.
12:13And I said, I think their best players are too old, and their role players are too young right now.
12:21I remember that.
12:22Coming up in the 11 o'clock hour today, we're going to be giving you a chance to win a pair of tickets to the home opener on May 16th.
