00:00A new donut shop has arrived in New York City and there's already lines out the door but is it worth
00:04the hype? I'm Donut in Times Square is the first international location for this Japanese donut
00:08chain. They specialize in nama donuts which are made with kabocha squash and vegetable shortening.
00:12This makes them extra chewy and almost eggy, sort of a cross between a brioche and a cruller.
00:17Their cream donuts are filled to the absolute max. For the nostalgic PB&J this was a plus but
00:22in the sake cream with Junmai Jolet there was a little too much going on. We appreciate that
00:26they have savory donuts like this one filled with soft scrambled eggs but wish they were served hot
00:31rather than room temp. You're best off getting one of their plain signature flavors so you can enjoy
00:35them in their simplest, chewiest form.
