00:00Our reporter Charles Hague-Jones has made clear how Cardiff City are readying themselves for a rebuild in League One following relegation.
00:09Yeah, obviously, you know, following their relegation to League One, it's their first drop to the third tier since 2002.
00:17You know, the club faces a pivotal summer. Let's not deny that, let's not overshadow that.
00:22It's a massive opportunity to rebuild and position themselves for a swift return to the Championship.
00:28It is simple as what Birmingham City have just done. Go down, refresh, rejuvenate, come straight back up with possibly the League One points record.
00:37But that's not as easy when you don't have the investment that Birmingham City had had.
00:42Cardiff City are now in a massively precarious position.
00:46Obviously, you know, you have to look at a few key priorities for rebuilding.
00:51Firstly, the managerial direction and Ramsey, where is he going to stand?
00:55How is he going to get on in terms of what he wants to do?
00:58You know, he was a player until the last, you know, couple of weeks or so when he took this sort of job on board.
01:04There's been no fairytale ending for him in Cardiff City, but, you know, boyhood club.
01:11And Wrexham podcaster Rich Faye has outlined how they are looking forward to life in the Championship following their promotion from League One to the second tier.
01:20Your Championship to Premier League is huge. We've seen that with the teams who've gone up and gone down, you know, recently in back-to-back seasons.
01:28But there's been so many teams as well who have yo-yoed between League One and the Championship.
01:32And they're very good teams with good managers and some very good players.
01:36And even if you look at the Wrexham squad now, some of Wrexham's better players are the likes of Rathbone, James.
01:41You know, these are players who were released from Championship clubs.
01:45George Dobson, they were released and allowed to come to Wrexham.
01:49So there's a reason they maybe weren't deemed Championship quality in the first place.
01:54If you're looking at like raw individual talent, it would need a massive overhaul this summer.
02:00They need younger players, maybe fitter players, a bit more about them.
02:04They maybe couldn't play the same style of football for as long as they have to.
02:08So Wrexham will take, you know, great encouragement though, seeing what Oxford United have done this season in the Championship.
