00:00Well, Charles, it certainly was not the best of weekends for Cardiff City as they took
00:07the trip north to face Leeds United at Elland Road, of course, Leeds' championship leaders.
00:12And well, the Whites extended that place at the top of the table with quite the hammering
00:17of the Bluebirds, 7-0 at Elland Road. For Cardiff, it's just an awful, awful day at
00:24the office. Leeds showing just why they are top of the league, showing the quality they
00:28have in their ranks. And to be fair to Cardiff, they'd gone into this game looking not bad
00:34in terms of their form. They'd managed to start to see themselves a little bit clear
00:37relegation after what has been a pretty poor season so far. And so you thought, well, yes,
00:42Leeds are a great side, but you thought Cardiff could do something. But it certainly wasn't
00:47to be at all dreadful from Cardiff, completely all over. Leeds just taking advantage, tearing
00:52them apart. And Cardiff were just wide open everywhere, to be honest, scoring seven goals.
00:57I mean, when it gets to sort of three or four, it becomes damage limitation at that point.
01:04But they just didn't do that at all, did they?
01:08Yeah, you're right. Obviously, it was a very, very dark day for Cardiff's season.
01:12I mean, they hadn't lost a game since Boxing Day until their trip to Elland Road.
01:17So they were on a fantastic run. I mean, that included a fantastic Derby win against
01:22Swansea City at home, an amazing FA Cup win against promotion challenger Sheffield United
01:28away from home. I mean, they were on some fantastic form, loads of draws in there, some
01:33wins as well. And to go to Elland Road, we mentioned Leeds are probably clear favourites
01:39to go up, certainly at this point, at least get top two and return to the Premier League,
01:45which is fantastic for Leeds. They've been brilliant all season, really. And their squad
01:50is beyond a championship squad. But Cardiff City, from their perspective, it was absolutely
01:56brutal. I mean, Omar Issa has issued an apology to the club's fans who followed them up and
02:02real loyal supporters, Cardiff. They always travel very well. And, you know, it's simple
02:09to say the scoreline could have actually been even worse. Daniel Farker admitted that his
02:13side might have actually won by a bigger margin if they had took their chances, especially
02:17in the first half. But yeah, Omar Issa now has so much to reflect on. They obviously
02:21have the FA Cup weekend as a bit of a break from this and it's certainly needed. They
02:26can go again when they travel to Portsmouth. But their away form hasn't really been as
02:31good as they'd like this season. They've got some real tough games to go to, obviously
02:36Sunderland, Blackburn away, they've got to go QPR and Sheffield United in the league
02:41this time, Norwich as well. Teams like that, they have to really carry on to get back to
02:46that sort of place where they were winning games again and hope that the teams around
02:53them continue to lose and hopefully they avoid the drop.
