00:00Spider-Monkey-Ninja-Guy
00:02Ah, oh, I don't, I'll take it as a compliment
00:07Congratulations, you still got it, you're really kick-ass in this movie
00:19In the movie they say that you are a Spider-Monkey-Ninja-Guy
00:24Do you agree? Are you a Spider-Monkey-Ninja-Guy?
00:28Uh, I don't, I'll take it as a compliment
00:32Yeah, of course, it's great because that line came from Michonne Lynch
00:38And it was not in the script, it was an ad-lib
00:41And he is so funny in the movie
00:45And in your hands anything can be a weapon, even a pencil
00:49What's your secret? How can you do all these amazing stunts?
00:54I studied martial arts when I was very young
00:58And I got a black belt
01:00So I always wanted to star in my own action movie
01:06That's why I studied martial arts in the first place
01:09So to be able to do this is incredible
01:11And yes, I think anything can be a weapon
01:14As, you know, I'm very influenced by Hong Kong action movies
01:21Especially Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung's movies
01:24Where, you know, the choreography is very creative
01:27And they incorporate a lot of the stuff that's, you know, on set
01:33Into the fight scene
01:34And that's what we try to do in this movie
01:37One, to pay homage to those action movies
01:40And second, to really have fun with the environment
01:44And make it really interesting
01:46And how's your life going after you won the Oscar?
01:50Something has changed or you are still the same?
01:52Personally, nothing has changed
01:54You know, I still live in the same house
01:56I still have the same car
01:57I still go to the same places
01:59I don't have an assistant
02:00But professionally, a lot has changed
02:05It's incredible
02:07A lot of doors has opened
02:09As you can see
02:11I mean, you know, love hurts
02:12It's something that I don't think would have happened many years ago
02:17I'm very grateful to, you know, that I was offered to do this
02:21And it's really, you know, it feels great when you're being, you know, when you feel wanted
02:28And when you can be part of something really special
02:33And to, and allow an opportunity to do what you love
02:38And speaking about love
02:40Your character says that the secret to be happy is to find something you love and fight for it
02:46Do you agree with him?
02:48Yes, absolutely
02:49You have to
02:51You know, that's what, that's what gives meaning to life
02:58It's got to be meaningful
02:59I mean, for me personally
03:01Everything that has happened in the last couple of years
03:06It's made even more special because I get to share it with my wife
03:11My wife who, you know, who always believed in me, never gave up on me
03:16And really is the one that, that over the years he kept saying that
03:21Just trust me, you know, you know, you're gonna, you're gonna succeed one day
03:25So you have to, you have to fight for what you love
03:29Yeah
03:29And, and Rose says in the movie many times that hiding ain't living
03:34Again, do you agree with that?
03:36Yes
03:37You know, it's, it's important to be truthful to yourself
03:40And, and that's, you know, that to me, that's what that, that means
03:46You know, if you're hiding all the time, uh, you're not being true to yourself
03:50Uh, it, it's important to, you know, to, to, to be, to be genuine and to be who you are
03:55And don't be afraid to show people your true self
03:58If they don't accept it, then that's okay
04:01But, uh, but if they accept it, then, then they deserve to be your friend
04:05Sean Austin's character in the movie says that he believes in absolution and second chances
04:11Uh, do you believe that it is right?
04:15Um, do people really change in your opinion?
04:18Yes
04:19I, I, I, I believe in second chances
04:21Uh, and I, and I do absolutely believe that people change if given the opportunity
04:30Uh, you know, no, nobody's perfect
04:34Uh, and, and just because, I mean, for me, at least, you know, um, I, for me, I, I've changed a lot
04:41I've changed, um, since the day I met my wife
04:46Uh, I, I've made, you know, I, I, I've made a lot of mistakes in the past
04:50And you learn from your mistakes
04:52You grow as a person and hopefully you strive to be a better person every day
04:57You know, I, I, I'm so inspired by a lot of people that I work with
05:04Uh, and, and every time I see somebody, you know, an act of kindness
05:11That inspires me to, to do better, to be better
05:14Basically, this movie is also, um, a reunion with Sean Austin
05:19I was, uh, uh, working again with him
05:22It was amazing, uh, you know, uh, it's been 40 years
05:29So to be able to share a screen with him again, uh, was really a wonderful trip down memory lane
05:35Uh, we're Goonies Brothers Forever, uh, and, you know, when we did that scene, uh, I was so emotional
05:42I was emotional, not only because the script called for it, for, for Marvin Gaye
05:47But for me personally, to be able to, to, to, to, to, to do a scene with Sean again, uh, that was amazing
05:55Uh, it was something that I really wanted and we get to do it
05:57And it's kind of our little treat for the Goonies fans out there
06:00And, and speaking about that, um, Deadline said that maybe Goonies 2 is finally in the works
06:07Do you know something? Can you say something?
06:11I think every few years there's always a, a, a new Goonies rumor
06:15Uh, it, you know, we've been trying to develop it for so many years, uh, uh, I mean honestly
06:22Do you, do I want it to happen? Yes
06:25I love that movie, uh, it would be incredible to be, to be able to revisit, uh, uh, that character
06:31And to be in another movie with my fellow Goonies, uh, I don't know what the status of that yet
06:38Uh, but, uh, but, but I feel like Warner Brothers is always trying to make it happen
06:43And, and, and so is Spielberg, so, uh, who knows? Who knows? Maybe one day
06:47Thank you so much
06:48Thank you
06:49Amazing job
06:49Bye
06:50Thank you
06:51Thank you
06:52Thank you
