00:00Welcome to another episode of the Goal Mouth Action Podcast, where we take a look at all the latest goings-on at Brighton, Hove, Albion and Crawley Town.
00:07I'm Matt Pohl, and this week I'm joined by Brighton writer Darren Howwood, Sam Morwin, who covers both the Seagulls and Crawley Town, as well as Red Devils expert Mark Dunford.
00:16Brighton will hit by a late sucker punch as Alexander Azak's 89th-minute penalty secured a Premier League draw for Newcastle at the Amex.
00:22We'll look back at that draw, plus we'll bring you all the latest team news ahead of Albion's Shook to Walls, as well as all the latest from the final week of the League One season at Crawley Town.
00:30You can read all the stories we are talking about with videos and pictures online at sussexworld.co.uk forward slash sport, and you can check out other great videos on shotstv.com and freebie channel 262.
00:39You may also be watching on latest TV, so thank you very much for tuning in.
00:43But we will start at the Amex, where Azak earned a draw for Newcastle with a late penalty against Brighton.
00:48Albion were on course for a narrow win as they led through Yankouba Minter with stoppage time approaching.
00:52Newcastle had been awarded two penalties that were overturned by VAR before being handed a third when Yassin Iyari used his arms block Fabian Shah's free kick.
01:00And after a lengthy review, Isaac Cooley converted.
01:04Huge blow for Brighton to concede so late, Derren, kind of the inverse of last week against West Ham.
01:10What did you make of that Albion performance?
01:11It wasn't bad, actually.
01:14I thought they did very well against a Newcastle team who really look quite strong, and you can see why they're up in third or fourth position and pushing for the Champions League spots.
01:26I thought Brighton did okay.
01:28They had a really good chance towards the end as well when Diego Gomez just missed the header.
01:34It was a lovely delivery, actually, from Brejan Gruda.
01:39Stroke the ball in the box from a free kick.
01:41And Gomez, he rose really well, and it just seemed he mistimed it slightly, his header, but he was in a good position, fairly close to the goal, but it just wasn't to be.
01:52And then actually after that, Brigham was forced into a very good save from Callum Wilson.
01:58So, yeah, it's one of those matches that could have gone either way.
02:02But, yeah, it keeps brightening contention for European football next season, which is important going into the last three matches.
02:09But for me, as you mentioned, as a spectacle, VAR sort of made the second half in particular sort of quite boring in a way because it was so disjointed.
02:19And, you know, afterwards, I was sort of thinking if you go to a Premier League football match for the first time, you know, you pay quite a hefty amount of money for your ticket.
02:29And what you actually, you know, I came away thinking, what were you actually getting?
02:33You're just paying to watch Craig Pawson run, you know, run back and forth to a pitch side screen.
02:39And, you know, it was just a bit of a fun.
02:43I think these players, they're sort of paid, you know, serious amounts of money because they're the best at what they do.
02:49And for a huge amount of time, they're just standing in the huddle watching, watching for an outcome.
02:53And the fans, I think, are getting shortchanged.
02:56You know, they should be watching, you know, these brilliant players, the likes of Izak, Gameres, Beliba, Minte, you know, in full flow.
03:04And that's, for me, what you go to the stadiums for, you know, to watch these players being able to deliver on the biggest stage.
03:12And I thought VAR in the second half completely wiped it out.
03:15There were three decisions which took, they were correct.
03:19Like, they got to the correct decisions.
03:21But how they reached the verdict and the time it took just sort of completely ruined the game for me.
03:27I sort of, you know, it just wasn't a good, exciting Premier League match as it should have been in the second half in particular.
03:34But this is the angriest I've ever seen, Darren.
03:38I've never seen you angry before like this.
03:41No, I know.
03:42It's, but that was just my thoughts as I came away from the stadium.
03:46I thought, what are we actually going to see here?
03:48We've been just watching.
03:49I guess it's okay if you're watching it on TV.
03:52And then everything's highlighted, edited for the package.
03:56And it's on match of the day.
03:58It's all neat and tidy.
03:58It takes a couple of seconds on match of the day to watch or on social media.
04:03But if you're actually paying money to go to the stadium, I just think it was, you were seriously shortchanged for that second half.
04:12And I think it's something that they need to look at.
04:14But anyway, I'll stop now.
04:16I'll stop.
04:18You need to have a lie down.
04:19Calm down, Darren.
04:21Yeah.
04:21No, I agree with you 100%.
04:23I'll have a sip of my coffee.
04:26The issue I have with VAR is when it comes to those decisions, they should take 30 seconds, but they spend six minutes deciding what the decision is going to be.
04:34And people in the stadium have got no idea what decision is being made.
04:38So, it's very frustrating.
04:39It's the communication, isn't it?
04:40It's the communication rule.
04:42Yeah.
04:42Yeah, absolutely.
04:43I found it quite boring in the end, in the second half.
04:49But there you go.
04:49Yeah, well, no, I agree with you there.
04:51It's too lengthy.
04:53But the VAR instance that involved Newcastle, where the first incident was chalked off due to attack, Lamptey's foul on Anthony Gordon having happened outside the 18-yard box, while the second saw Joe Willock awarded a yellow car to diving.
05:05VR gets a lot of stick for getting decisions wrong, Sam, but they seem to have been bang on the money with that.
05:11I don't know if you agree.
05:12Yeah, no, absolutely.
05:13They were definitely the right decisions.
05:15And obviously, when we have the screen in front of us in the press seats, we could see straight away that both of them shouldn't have been penalties.
05:22Obviously, the first one with Lamptey was a foul, but it was on the edge.
05:24So, it was rightly changed to a free kick.
05:27And I think Lamptey was a little bit lucky, because if he'd have made that tackle a couple of seconds later, it was a little bit of a clumsy challenge.
05:35But the second one was a blatant dive.
05:40Van Heek did not make any contact with Joe Willock, and he just threw himself to the floor.
05:44It was quite embarrassing, really.
05:46And yeah, he rightly got booked for it, which is, I think, a good thing as well.
05:50And you really just don't like to see that.
05:52And it's been going on for years and years, but I just don't understand why footballers think they can get away with it, especially in this day and age when you've got VAR to pick up on it.
06:00So, it's a really bizarre moment, really, for Willock to do that.
06:04But it just made me show a bit of desperation from Newcastle, because Brighton were defending really resolutely, and were keeping Newcastle at bay, really.
06:13And obviously, it ended up being yet another penalty decision that obviously got them the equaliser, and they were struggling to create much in open play.
06:21So, that's a positive for Brighton, I think.
06:22They managed to keep a really strong Newcastle team, lots of attacking talent at bay for most of the game.
06:29And it looked like it was going to be a really valuable 1-0 win right up until the end.
06:33And it was a shame that they obviously came away losing those two points, which would have been very valuable, especially when you consider a Bournemouth win at Arsenal.
06:42And Fulham obviously dropping points against Aston Villa.
06:45It was an opportunity for Brighton.
06:46And obviously, with Brentford's resurgent run of form, beating Man Utd on the same day, it's all very close now.
06:52And a lot will obviously depend on how Brighton's rivals get on, as well as how they get on in the last couple of games in the season.
07:00It could go either way, but Brighton are still well in the mix.
07:04And if they win their own games, do what they have to do, they'll stand a big chance.
07:07Yeah, absolutely.
07:08Well, Brighton stayed 10th after the draw with Newcastle.
07:11And with games against Wolves, recently crowned champions Liverpool and Spurs to conclude the campaign, Darren, how do you rate Albion's chances of qualifying for it?
07:19I think it's probably going to be the Conference League, I imagine, next season.
07:23I think so, Matt.
07:24Yeah, they're 10th at the moment.
07:26They've got 52 points.
07:27And the Bournemouth are 8th at the moment on 53 points.
07:32So they're going to need to, Brentford are in between them.
07:35So it's going to be Fulham, Brighton, Brentford, Bournemouth sort of battling for that 8th position, I feel.
07:42But, yeah, I think Brighton has still got a reasonable chance.
07:46As Sam mentioned, Wolves have been on a great run of form, and they're going to be very tricky to play against this Saturday.
07:54But then you look ahead to Liverpool, Liverpool at home at the Amex.
07:59So that's going to be Brighton's final game, home game of the season.
08:02And you hope there's, you know, there's going to be a really good atmosphere for that one.
08:06It's going to be Brighton are going to be on the front foot and attacking a Liverpool team who maybe, you know, might make a few changes.
08:12They made six changes for the team that played Chelsea last weekend, and they looked a little bit off the pace.
08:19So Brighton will be hoping that, you know, that they will be easing off a bit and hopefully get a good result there.
08:28Tottenham as well, they've got other priorities there.
08:30They've just let their Premier League campaign slide this season.
08:35And they've got the Europa League final pretty much if they, you know, they're in a good position to get to the final.
08:40So we'll find out tonight whether they can, but it's looking like they will be.
08:46So I think their priorities could be elsewhere.
08:49So I think Brighton have got a good chance.
08:50If they can get a positive result at Wolves, then I think Liverpool aren't a live team anymore.
08:56That sort of switched off a bit, and I think Tottenham are in the same position.
08:59So they still need a few other results to go their way.
09:03But if Brighton can take care of what they need to and perhaps get between sort of six, you know, six points from these next three matches,
09:12then I think that could give them a really good chance of qualifying.
09:16We'll look ahead to the Wolves game in a second.
09:18But Brighton, Lonee, Julio and Ciso score an absolute belter for Ipswich in their two-wheel draw at Everton on Saturday.
09:24The Paraguayan, who joined the Tractor Boys in January, was a catalyst for Ipswich comeback with a strike from 30 yards.
09:30And it was a great goal, wasn't it, Sam?
09:33Aside from that, how has Ciso got on during his time at Portland Road?
09:36And do you think he still has a future at Brighton under Fabian Herzella?
09:40Yeah, no, it's an interesting question, really, because obviously he's got such talent in Ciso.
09:45And we've seen him score some absolute screamers for Brighton.
09:49Obviously nominated for the Puskas Award for his goal against Man City.
09:52Obviously a cracking goal against Chelsea.
09:55And there were two really important goals as well that obviously helped him qualify for the Europa League.
10:00And he just comes up with moments out of nothing.
10:02And he can kind of create something out of nothing in a bit of moment of magic in tight games.
10:08And can really make a difference.
10:09And I think Brighton missed him.
10:10I think in the run of form they've been on in recent weeks and months,
10:14where they've not quite been able to pick up a run of wins and fall short in tight matches,
10:20he could have made a difference, especially when you consider the injuries that Brighton have had.
10:24Obviously, especially to Jorginho Rutter, who was probably the main reason why Nciso went out on loan.
10:29And Rutter's been obviously a brilliant.
10:30He's come in from Leeds.
10:32But when he's injured and when other players around him are injured or suspended,
10:36Nciso's the perfect player that you kind of had to slot in.
10:39And he could make such a huge difference.
10:41And it's a real difficult one because obviously you understand from his point of view,
10:44he wants to play regular football.
10:47And he obviously doesn't want to just be on the bench and come on when he's required because of injuries and whatnot.
10:54So it's a real difficult one.
10:55But I think if they can get him to sign another contract and come back to Brighton,
10:59he's such an asset to them, really.
11:02And he's showing it from the quality he has for Upswich.
11:04And he's scored, obviously, as you mentioned, a superb goal against Everton.
11:09And it's even more impressive when I think something that Troy Deeney mentioned in his team of the week that Nciso was in.
11:14He said quite often you'd see players out on loan, teams that had already been relegated.
11:17You can see them maybe down to all, maybe just going back to their parent club
11:22or their eyes maybe just off the kind of team they're on loan out there.
11:27They're already relegated.
11:28But it really wasn't the case at all.
11:29And he took the game to Everton and he dragged them back into the game.
11:32And it was really, really good to see from him because, yeah, we know what you can do.
11:36And it would be interesting to see what Brighton want to do because I'm sure they'd love to keep him at the club.
11:41But he obviously won't be happy for it to be a bit part player.
11:44So it's a bit of an issue that Brighton have to resolve.
11:48But if they can keep hold of him, they absolutely should.
11:50Yeah, watch this space.
11:51Alvian travelled to a revised lives Wolves this Saturday.
11:55Vito Pereira has performed an incredible job since he's taken over Gary O'Neill in December,
11:58steering aside the top flight safety with only Liverpool and Newcastle winning more games than Wolves during that period.
12:03And they ran Man City awfully close last week, Darren.
12:07It's going to be another tough afternoon for the Seagulls.
12:10Yeah, I think it will.
12:12I've been really impressed with how Wolves have pulled away from the relegation zone and a bit gutted as well as an Ipswich fan because I was hoping that Wolves would be dragged back into there.
12:22But they soon picked up a few good results, which left, you know, pulled them away from the relegation places.
12:29And their form, yeah, under the new manager has been really impressive.
12:34So I think Brighton are going to have to, you know, really be at their best for this one.
12:38And I'm hoping that they'll have a few of their injured players back.
12:42When you were looking in the second half against Newcastle and thinking, oh, who could they bring on that could make a difference?
12:47And as Sam mentioned, Jorginho's been out injured.
12:51Mitoma was also unavailable with his heel injury as well, which was a blow.
12:56Pedro is still suspended and he'll be suspended for the Wolves game as well.
13:01He'll be back for the Liverpool and the Tottenham matches.
13:04But so if Mitoma and potentially Jorginho is making good progress as well, so he could be available for Wolves.
13:12But we'll find out in the press conference this Friday whether Jorginho can make it or not.
13:19And Solly March as well.
13:20So they're sort of three attacking talents that could come back into the squad and really help their case.
13:26And with the likes of Webster, Igor, Veldman and Lamptey back as well.
13:29Hopefully that should give them a bit of solidity at the back as well.
13:34But yeah, we'll find out a bit more about the team news on Friday.
13:37And that will be online on Friday morning on Sussex World.
13:40Absolutely. Keep your eyes peeled.
13:42And we will take a short break now, but stay tuned as we will be discussing all things Crawley Town.
13:48Welcome back to part two.
13:49And already relegated Crawley Town ended their Ligue 1 campaign on high on Saturday.
13:54Max Anderson grabbed the telling goal as the Reds beat fellow relegated side Shrewsbury Town 2-1 on the final day of the season.
14:00Russian Hepburn Murphy had given Crawley a 50th-minute lead from the penalty spot before Mal Benning hit a late consolation for the Shrews.
14:06And sum that performance up for us, Mark.
14:09It sounded like just a nice, positive way to end the campaign.
14:14Yeah, I think so.
14:14I don't think they had two relegated sides, wouldn't it?
14:17And I texted Gary, because I wasn't at the game.
14:20I texted Gary Smith at the BBC at halftime and said,
14:23how's it going, mate?
14:23And he was just like typical end of season.
14:26I don't think there was much intensity to it.
14:28But at the beginning of the second half, Shrewsbury had a player sent off.
14:32And yeah, and then Hepburn Murphy, they got a penalty.
14:35He slotted away.
14:36And then Max Anderson scored before Shrewsbury got one late back.
14:40But if you looked at the stats of the game, Crawley had 69% possession, which seems to be their sort of average.
14:47I mean, they had 692 passes compared to Shrewsbury's 300.
14:51So, they clearly went over there, dominated like they had done previously against Northampton and Exeter.
14:57It's just a shame.
14:58It was all a little bit too much, too little too late, wasn't it?
15:01But yeah, it's a positive way to end the season.
15:04Scott Lindsay said on Thursday before the game, he wants to keep winning.
15:08You need that momentum carried into next year.
15:11And they go into next year on the back of four games unbeaten.
15:14So, three wins on the, well, yeah, three wins on the trot, four games unbeaten.
15:18And that's a good narrative to have going into a new season, isn't it?
15:22Especially when you've been relegated.
15:24Absolutely.
15:24And you've alluded to it there, Mark.
15:26But with Burton suffering a 3-1 final day defeat at Charlton, it meant Crawley Town finished just one point off safety,
15:32albeit with the worst goal difference than the Brewers.
15:34Sam, has this kind of been a season of what might have been for the Reds,
15:39especially after their strong end to the season?
15:41Yeah, it really is.
15:44It's a real shame, obviously, they were so close.
15:46Because when Scott Lindsay came in, I think the gap was about 12 points.
15:49And it looked like a bit of a mission impossible.
15:52But when you've got those first two wins, obviously, you've got everyone's hopes up of a miracle.
15:56And when you obviously look at the results, a couple of really unlucky last-minute goals they conceded
16:03or towards the end of the game, I think it happened about three or four times,
16:06where if they just held on for a little bit longer, you think of that Peterborough game.
16:09And also, I think the major one was obviously when they were 3-1 up against Northampton,
16:16we found out that Cambridge had equalised against Burton.
16:19And you think, it's on, this is the moment.
16:23And kind of as they're celebrating the win, you find out that Burton had gone 2-1 up against Cambridge.
16:29And that proved to be the goal that relegated Crawley, because it wasn't for that.
16:33If it had been a draw, Crawley would have stayed up.
16:36So it really was fine margins.
16:38But as Scott Lindsay has said a few times, it's had the form of the whole season,
16:44it's obviously put them in that position.
16:45And if it wasn't so bad for as long as it was, and potentially made a change a bit earlier,
16:52obviously not blaming anyone in particular, but anything like that.
16:55But obviously, if you bring Scott Lindsay back earlier, they would have stayed up.
16:58I know exactly who you're blaming, Sam.
16:59I feel like, yeah, if you had Scott in the position earlier, I think they would have stayed up.
17:09The form was brilliant when he came back.
17:11And yeah, it's a shame.
17:12It's a shame, obviously, they got relegated after all the hard work to get promoted.
17:16But I back them to make a quick return if Scott is given the tools to do so.
17:22And I think he absolutely will be.
17:24Well, we'll come on to that a little bit later on.
17:26But Max Anderson's winner at Shrews re-saw the Scott and wittingly write his name into the Football League's record books.
17:32Nice little story of this, Mark.
17:34What was so special about Anderson's goal at New Meadow?
17:37Well, according to a guy called 17 Laws Guy on X, he's called Soren Albeck.
17:44It was the 600,000th goal scored in the Football League since it started in 1888.
17:50Is it 1888, I think?
17:52So, yes, this guy has somehow kept track of every goal ever scored since the start.
18:00Ever since Kenny Davenport scored for Bolton Wanderers at 3.47pm on September the 8th, 1888.
18:07He scored the first ever league goal.
18:10And yeah, he's just kept track of it all.
18:13Well, the 100,000th goal is a bit – his research relies heavily on kickoff times correctly reported.
18:22And each goal is correctly reported.
18:24And the watches showed time correctly.
18:26Referees kept time correctly, et cetera.
18:28So, there's five different goal scorers who could have scored the 100,000th.
18:32There's four different goal scorers that could have scored the 250,000th.
18:35But the 500,000th was Gary Taylor Fletcher, an absolute screamer for Huddersfield against Rotherham.
18:40But now Max Anderson has unwittingly written himself into the record books, the 600,000th.
18:46So, yeah, it's just a nice little bit of history, isn't it?
18:50I mean, I love all these stats that actually mean nothing.
18:54They don't mean anything.
18:56But if you can say, oh, yeah, I scored the 600,000th goal in the Football League, it's quite nice.
19:00Something to tell the grandkids, isn't it?
19:02So, yeah, just a nice little story.
19:04And Max Anderson, he's had a bit of an on-off season.
19:07I thought he started really well and then under Rob Elliott didn't seem to prosper as much.
19:12Not that many of them did.
19:14But that's who you were blaming, wasn't it, Sam?
19:19And, yeah, but in the last couple of games, he's played really well.
19:22Him and Liam Fraser in particular looked really good at midfield.
19:25So, yeah, nice little thing for Max to have in his record book.
19:30Absolutely.
19:31Congratulations, Max.
19:32And following Saturday's win at Shrewsbury, Reds boss Scott Lindsay said he had a squad that could compete in League Two next season with a couple of additions.
19:40We've not had, as far as we know, the retainer list hasn't been released yet.
19:43But, Mark, where do you think Crawley need to strengthen in the off-season?
19:47Yeah.
19:48So, yeah, we're expecting any time soon.
19:49Scott Lindsay said he was hoping to have everything sort of signed and sealed by yesterday, Tuesday, while we're recording this.
19:57So, but you look at the players, they're, well, one, they're definitely losing Bradley Ibrahim.
20:03He was here on loan.
20:06He's been brilliant.
20:07He's sort of taken that Jay Williams role in the defensive midfield.
20:11He'll be going.
20:12So, they'll need some sort of cover for that.
20:14But Liam Fraser, who only signed a six-month contract when he signed in January.
20:18So, his contract is at an end.
20:20But I know Scott Lindsay said he's one of the players he wants to stay.
20:24He desperately wants to get him to sign.
20:27And Jeremy Kelly as well.
20:28He wants to keep as well.
20:30I imagine his contract's until 2026, Jeremy Kelly.
20:34But I imagine there are going to be some player clubs after him because he's shown himself he can do it in League One now.
20:40So, he's going to be a tough player to keep hold of, I think.
20:43Goalkeeper.
20:44I mean, they've had so many issues with the goalkeeper this year.
20:47Not all their fault.
20:49Injuries.
20:50International call-ups.
20:51But I think they do need cover there.
20:54I mean, Jojo Wallercott's contract runs out at the end of next year, end of next summer.
21:00So, you look at it.
21:02I think somebody, I believe Swindon Town were in for him during January.
21:06But they didn't want to get, they didn't want to sell him at that point.
21:09So, maybe they'll be looking because he hasn't had the best end of season, Jojo Wallercott.
21:13So, and the fans turned on him a little bit, I think, and have been very critical of him.
21:19So, I think they need to look at certainly getting a regular number one who isn't an international, if they can help that, so they don't get international call-ups.
21:28But defensively, I think they're fine because if you look at Malarkey, Conroy, Flint, Barker, Joy McKenna's contract is up at the end of the season.
21:37So, whether he'll still be there, but if you've got McKenna and then Ben Radcliffe as well and Rory Feely and Benjamin Tanamu, still under contract.
21:46So, that's quite a lot in the defence.
21:48So, defensively, even though they let in more goals than anyone else this season, I think they're fine.
21:54But it's just, yeah, a goal scorer.
21:56I think they, Hepburn Murphy's been great towards the end of the season, but they need someone backing him up.
22:02I'm not sure if Shawan made completely up for it.
22:04He had a good spell in the middle of the season.
22:06I don't think John Jules will be here for much longer.
22:10Will Swan didn't really make any appearances in the last few games under Lindsay.
22:17So, whether they'll be looking to get rid of him, I don't know.
22:20But, yeah, so I think defensive midfielder, another striker, a goalkeeper, and probably an attacking midfielder because you've got Kamari Doyle, who will be going back to Brighton.
22:30I mean, Crawley fans are desperate to keep him, but I think he should be looking top of League One,
22:35in the championship, at least, I think.
22:39Absolutely. It's going to be a busy summer, I predict, at Crawley Town.
22:42There have been plenty of positives for Crawley to take since Lindsay's return in March,
22:46but the Reds' boss has appeared to rule out any thought of an instant return to League One next season.
22:51Do you think Crawley will be seen as underdogs in League Two next season, Sam, despite their previous status as a League One club?
22:58And is this a role that Lindsay will relish, do you think?
23:02It's an interesting one, isn't it? Because Crawley have always been the underdogs.
23:05Obviously, they got promoted to League One when everyone thought they'd be going down to the National League.
23:11And obviously, no one gave them a chance of staying in League One this season.
23:14And obviously, they didn't, but they very nearly did.
23:16And obviously, in the form they had at the end of the season, they were obviously one of the form teams in the League.
23:22And as we've mentioned, if Scott had a bit longer in the role, he probably would have kept them up.
23:28So it's an interesting one. I think in League Two, depending on what kind of the signings they make and what players stay on,
23:34I see no reasons why they should be underdogs, really.
23:37I think they definitely should be one of the favourites, too, to come back up, really,
23:40because they're performing well in League One.
23:42There's no reason why the current group of players can't do the same in League Two,
23:46if you keep them on. Obviously, under Scott's leadership, I think it all bodes quite well for a strong season.
23:54But Mark spoke to Scott in the build-up to the final game of the season.
23:59And Scott didn't seem to agree that they shouldn't be underdogs.
24:03He said, well, why aren't we? There are two reasons why we should be, because he just got relegated.
24:07We were favourites to get relegated last season.
24:09We were favourites to get relegated the season before.
24:11So that makes us special this next season.
24:15You kind of question if it does make them special next season, sorry.
24:17And Mark said in response that when you look at the performances and the results you've got in these last games,
24:22people might fear playing Crawley.
24:24And he's obviously got that winning mentality going into next season.
24:27And he said he did seem to accept that, didn't you, Mark?
24:30He kind of agreed with you and said, yeah, he'll take that.
24:33But he doesn't want to heighten any expectations for next season because he's got to be realistic.
24:37So I think he's just trying to, yeah, keep the pressure off his players.
24:40He's not trying to make them feel like they have to get promoted straight away and have got to go out and win every game.
24:44I think it's just, yeah, trying to calm any expectations down, which I'm sure the players will appreciate as well.
24:51But behind closed doors, I'm sure Scott has got big expectations and aspirations to come straight back up.
24:56Yeah, absolutely.
24:58And only one score prediction this week as Crawley Town's season has come to an end.
25:02And as you mentioned, it's Albion stripped of Wolves on Saturday.
25:05I think I say this every week for Albion, but I'm predicting a draw for this one.
25:09Darren, how do you see this one going?
25:11Yeah, I'm going to be a bit more positive.
25:14I'm going to go, if Matoma's back, I remember he scored a great goal at Wolves a couple of seasons ago, actually.
25:19So I think if Matoma's back, I'm going to go 2-0 for Brighton.
25:23Sam, how do you see this one going at Molyneux?
25:26It's going to be a tight, I think 2-1 Brighton.
25:292-1 Brighton, yeah, I think it's going to be a narrow win, but an important one.
25:33Are we going for a Brighton win then, Mark?
25:35No, it's going to be a boring one-all draw.
25:38I think Pereira's done a great job at Wolves, so I think it'll be a tough place to go.
25:43And the way Brighton just don't seem to inspire at the moment,
25:46and I think it's going to be a disappointing 1-1 draw for him.
25:50We'll wait and see.
