Transcript
00:00Hi, I'm Luke Wainwright from Salt and Sage Booster and Fairham.
00:03Brilliant, so tell me how excited you are to be open?
00:06Very, a little bit anxious to start with, but yeah, we've put a lot of time and effort into this place, so yeah, excited to get off the ground and get running.
00:14So tell me what sort of food you serve here.
00:16So during the daytime, we're doing more of a premium cafe style feel, like really exciting jacket potatoes, not just your standard one.
00:24So we've got like a cheeseburger jacket potato, and we do a prawn and crab jacket potato, a nice homemade chicken curry, and then we've got really good hot sandwiches.
00:36So we do a chicken parma sandwich, and what I believe is going to be our signature is our roast beef Yorkshire wrap, which is a giant Yorkshire pudding, chicken, stuffing, potatoes, homemade gravy, all wrapped up in those sorts of, yeah.
00:50Fabulous, and then come evenings?
00:51Yeah, evenings, so Thursday, Friday and Saturday, we open for the evening, we've got our pork, our sage pork wrap, I'm sorry, our pork chop, our sage pork chop.
01:04We've got our bistro burger, which comes with a potato bun, which is a bit different, which is all baked in store locally.
01:14Yeah, so lots of good steaks and stuff like that, yeah.
01:17So tell me what the reaction's been like so far.
01:19So we officially opened yesterday, and we've had lots of really, really positive feedback on the food, the quality of it, portion size, and the price has all been really, really good.
01:30So yeah, yeah, we're happy and we're excited to push forward.
01:34So we source our meat locally from Hadlow, which is in Titchfield, and coffee is roasted for us in South Sea, Broadway Coffee Roaster.
01:44Yeah, so we're trying to keep things local and fresh, and as much as we can, we try and source locally as well.
