00:00No fitness concerns from our end.
00:03I think he's trained and prepared as well as he can.
00:07And I know that he had high expectations coming into the tournament
00:10based on how well he bowled in Champions Trophy.
00:12And if you look back two seasons ago, he was obviously the Purple Cap winner.
00:17So we know that he's been able to perform an IPL in the past
00:21and it just hasn't come together for him in this season
00:23and probably just hasn't been the consistent bowler that we're so used to.
00:28And that's a source of frustration for himself.
00:31But he's working exceptionally hard on trying to get it right.
00:40I just wanted to ask, what are your biggest takeaways
00:43for both positives and negatives from this season for Sardis?
00:47What do you think the team needs to work on?
00:51With four games to go, I think it's probably premature
00:54to try and delve too much into that
00:56because the four games could produce a different story.
01:00We're able to talk positively about more players
01:03depending on what they're able to do.
01:05But I think, if I just take off the top of my head,
01:08I think Garnik at Verma's been incredible this season.
01:10I think to come from limited cricket,
01:13to be able to come into this big stage
01:14around all these other superstars and hold his own.
01:18And particularly in spin bowling, he's been able to dominate.
01:21So that's something that we've been really impressed with.
01:25And obviously, it's down to the scouting team
01:28and their ability to identify talent
01:30and then him to be able to come here
01:31and deal with all the pressures
01:33and take the game on and be fantastic.
01:35One more question to add.
01:37You said that a lot of fresh talent
01:39has been emerging in this tournament.
01:41And not just in SRH, but in Akshay Tramon.
01:44And we've seen, you know, Priyank Shkaria
01:47and also the 14-year-old-in-a-sensation,
01:52Suriyah Wanshi.
01:53So do you think this tournament has shown, you know,
01:58a different tangent of young talent
02:00or how the cricket could evolve?
02:02Well, I definitely think the young players coming in
02:07have been influenced by the IPL style.
02:09So you see that the young players are able to come in,
02:12be fearless, and obviously play an array of shots
02:15in a highly aggressive manner.
02:17And those two that you've mentioned in particular
02:19have been able to come from nowhere, so to speak,
02:23and still be able to be great performers in the IPL.
02:27And I think that credits, obviously,
02:29the people who are scouting them and identifying that talent.
02:31But mainly it's on the player for his skill set
02:35and whatever team they're in, the confidence
02:37that they're able to give them to come in
02:38and just play that way.
02:47I think it's like any strategy.
02:50You know, it is about being able to execute
02:53those three things.
02:54So the goal for us is obviously to put a performance together
02:57that incorporates all three disciplines,
02:59and that's what's been missing so far.
03:01But for me, in particular, if we can field well,
03:04then I think that I have a huge bearing on the game.
03:06What do you expect us to win in this tournament?
03:10I mean, it's the wicket that we played Gujarat on, I think.
03:15So it was a 190 score.
03:17So I don't think it'll be one of the high-end Hyderabad scores,
03:21but I think it'll be a good surface.
