Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Delhi Capitals' Indian Premier League 2025 match ended in a no-result after rain forced the game to be called off at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Both teams ended up sharing one point each, with Delhi Capitals retaining their fifth place in the IPL 2025 standings. With this result, Sunrisers Hyderabad are knocked out of the IPL 2025 play-off race. It was a must-win game for Sunrisers Hyderabad and Pat Cummins opted to field first following winning the toss. Captain Pat Cummins (3/19) started strong with the new ball, dismissing Karun Nair with the first ball and then following it up with the wickets of Faf du Plessis and Abishek Porel. Harshal Patel scalped the wicket of Axar Patel and Jaydev Unadkat dismissed KL Rahul. The collapse pushed Capitals to 29/5 in no time. Tristan Stubbs (41*) held fort at one end and with contributions from Vipraj Nigam (18) and Ashutosh Sharma (41), Delhi Capitals posted 133/7. Just ahead of the chase, rain started and got heavier with time. Although it stopped just more than an hour before the five-over match cut-off time, the outfield took enough beating for the umpires to call off the match and both teams were handed one point each.
