00:00a pair of Howard Stern alumni a site that's just incredible an underdog
00:12returns an introduction that tops them all a dive too insane to describe a
00:23a casplex gone wrong a broken ring a mystery partner and the room full of heads on Sunday
00:35night March 1st no one was playing it safe ECW's living dangerously
00:42EXTREME CHAMPIONS
02:12Hey, Polly, feel like living dangerous?
02:16Yeah, sure.
02:17What do you got?
02:18Why don't you lick the icing out of my cake?
02:21See, I've seen too much wrestling as a kid, and that cake ain't going on my face.
02:27I'll put my face in the cake.
02:45Hello, everyone, and welcome to ECW, the wrestling promotion that takes the cake.
02:51I'm tired from the pay-per-view.
02:53I'm Joey Stiles, coming off of Living Dangerously, ECW's most successful pay-per-view.
02:58A night that will be remembered for many things, but most of all, it will be remembered as the night that one wrestler summoned up all the strength he could and drove another through the ring.
03:10I'm going to show you a still shot of this.
03:13I'm going to repeat it through the ring.
03:17If you didn't get enough at Living Dangerously, ECW returns to pay-per-view on Sunday night, May 3rd, with Wrestlepalooza.
03:25As the name implies, it's a wrestling party in Marietta, Georgia, just minutes outside downtown Atlanta, in a very historic building, the Cobb County Civic Center.
03:34Mark it on your calendar now, Sunday night, May 3rd, we're going to have a good time at Wrestlepalooza.
03:40.
03:45Rob Van Dam is, he's ripping the flesh of Tom A Dreamer with that barbed wire.
03:52Justin Credible is down, but Rob Van Dam is tearing into Tom A Dreamer with barbed wire.
04:00Justin Credible back to his feet, he's got that trash can.
04:07Oh, my God!
04:10Tommy, Dreamer with the barbed wire wrapped around his head, takes the trash can in the face.
04:16And now, Justin Credible is going to spike.
04:19Justin Credible scoops up Eula!
04:24No!
04:25No!
04:26No!
04:27No!
04:28No!
04:37In life, we make our own decisions.
04:39Every action has a reaction.
04:44As a reaction
04:46Buell is a strong
04:48independent woman and I support every one of her decisions as long as they don't conflict with mine
04:56Just incredible
04:57You want her to be a star?
04:59Hey number one Duke of New York top of the world ma
05:06congratulations
05:07This Sunday night
05:09Step in the ring with me
05:12I'll make you famous
05:15Beulah warned you
05:17about my dark side
05:20Three years ago
05:22Beulah felt the dark side as I pile drove her to the mat and now she stands by my side
05:29Because she can understand the power
05:33Last week Beulah McGillicuddy was pile driven by just incredible
05:40This Sunday night
05:42She'll see a darker side when she stands in the corner of
05:52Just incredible
05:54For months here at ECW we were shouting the praises of 23 year old Justin Credible to the dismay of his detractors and critics
06:04But the kid amassed a pretty good winning streak in October
06:07In October he defeated the great Sasuke in New York City
06:10Then in December taking advantage of Mikey Whipwreck's injured knee
06:14He put Mikey in the hospital
06:16Then in January he defeated the great Sasuke in a rematch
06:21Hurt him and in the same night spiked Gran Hamada
06:25Then defeated Gran Hamada in their first matchup
06:28Not bad for a 23 year old
06:31Well that living dangerously just incredible thought he'd exceed surpassed superstardom at the expense of Tommy Dreamer
06:42A man who has been in more main events or as many main events as anyone we've ever had in ECW
06:49The innovator of violence and quite frankly
06:52Justin Credible may have won the matchup
06:55He had dreamer beat with that's incredible
07:01But he let his ego get the best of it
07:03The kid honestly thought that by emulating or mimicking what Tommy Dreamer did to Beulah McGillicuddy three years ago
07:12He'd win the heart of fair Beulah
07:15But it was not to be
07:17We now take you to still clips from living dangerously
07:2023 year old Justin Credible taking on the innovator of violence
07:24Tommy Dreamer
07:26On March 1st in Asbury Park, New Jersey
07:30At living dangerously Tommy Dreamer launched an all-out assault on Justin Credible
07:38The innovator of violence took the 23 year old upstart to the extreme
07:47Only to get spiked when Justin finally hit
07:53That's incredible
07:55Which brought the penthouse pet Beulah McGillicuddy out from hiding
08:03On the side of Justin Credible
08:08But no!
08:10A low blow by Beulah McGillicuddy led to her being attacked by the monstrous Nicole Bass
08:20Which brought down Mikey Whipwreck with a torn ACL and a torn meniscus
08:28Mikey Whipwreck who has been sidelined since December 13th
08:33Mikey Whipwreck who has been helping behind the scenes while injured return to ECW
08:41And hit Nicole Bass who outweighs Mikey by almost 100 pounds with a modified whippersnapper
08:51When Justin Credible used Mikey's crutch and attacked the upset kid
09:00Only to fall victim to Tommy Dreamer's DDT
09:07As the innovator of violence Tommy Dreamer scored a pinfall over Justin Credible
09:13At living dangerously live on pay-per-view
09:18So you're not tired of living dangerously yet, huh?
09:23How about Wrestlepalooza 98?
09:25A wrestling party live on pay-per-view

09:49But if you're a subscriber of that one local cable company
09:54That still will not carry ECW pay-per-views
09:57That instead gives you color bars
10:00While we're broadcasting
10:01Go to our website, www.ecwwrestling.com
10:05And leave them a very polite email

10:12To enlighten themselves with liberty
10:14And ECW pay-per-views for all
10:17Because if you're missing ECW pay-per-views
10:20You're missing match-ups like the Dueling Cane match we had
10:24At Living Dangerously
10:26Actually, I think we did it at about

12:22Van Dam will face two Colt Scorpio
12:31Later in the night
12:32Two Colt Scorpio
12:33The former world tag team championship partner

12:37Who right now
12:38Seems to be the victim
12:42Of a brilliant Bill Alfonso Roos
12:46Sabu throws the Sandman up and over the top rope
12:52On to the ramp
12:53Keep your eye on Sabu
12:55Double jump springboard plancha

16:02He can't even stand
16:12The first Arabian face buster definitely
16:15Cover!
16:16Two in!
16:18The Arabian face buster had an effect
16:20On the equilibrium of the Sandman

18:34However, referee John Peewee Moore is still unconscious
18:45Sandman and a tug of war for that table with Bill Alfonso
18:55Sabu right back up to his feet
19:01But now Sabu is laid out
19:02It's Van Dam!

20:30Here we go, you're the winner, you're the winner, Sabu!
20:45After appearing as Sabu earlier in the evening,
20:50Mr. Monday Night Rob Van Dam appeared at Living Dangerously as himself
20:56against the returning Too Cold Scorpio.
21:03These two men, who have met in the past,
21:07squared off against one another in a 25-minute epic battle
21:14which saw not only some fantastic Matt Wrestling
21:18but also saw Too Cold take to the air
21:22as he waged war with Mr. Monday Night Rob Van Dam.
21:28Not one to be outdone, Mr. Monday Night performed perhaps
21:33his highest frog splash ever
21:37and an incredible slingshot moonsault.
21:44Mr. Monday Night Rob Van Dam hit the Van Daminator
21:46onto Scorpio on the rampway.
21:52After scoring the pin over Scorpio,
21:54Van Dam offered to shake Scorpio's hand
21:57but when Scorpio extended his palm,
22:00Van Dam pulled back.
22:03Scorpio offered to shake Van Dam's hand,
22:06suckered him in,
22:07and leveled him with a clothesline
22:10which brought to the ring
22:13the suicidal, homicidal, genocidal Sabu.
22:18Sabu and Van Dam put Scorpio on a table
22:21and were going to double-leg him through
22:24just like they did to the Sandman
22:26earlier in the evening.
22:28But the Sandman returned to Asbury Park
22:32and performed a top rope Franken-sander
22:36onto Sabu through the table.
22:40Scorpio and Sandman,
22:42former ECW World Tag Team Champions
22:46celebrated in mid-ring
22:49with a couple of cold ones.
22:52The Extreme Championship Wrestling
22:54World Television Champion,
22:57the Human Suplex Machine, Taz.
22:59Challenger, Asbury Park, New Jersey's
23:02own beast from the east,
23:05Bam Bam Bigelow.
23:06A matchup so big,
23:08it made the front cover and centerfold
23:10of the Asbury Park Press.
23:13We now show you what led up
23:14to this now most memorable matchup,
23:18Taz versus Bigelow
23:19for the World Television title.
23:23January 10th, 1998,
23:26Philadelphia, Pennsylvania's
23:28world-famous ECW Arena.
23:31Bam Bam Bigelow,
23:33once again,
23:34falls prey,
23:35is victimized
23:37by the triple threat
23:38as the World Heavyweight Champion.
23:41The franchise Shane Douglas
23:43distracts Bam Bam Bigelow,
23:45and Mr. Monday Night,
23:47Rob Van Dam,
23:48scores a controversial victory
23:50over the Beast
23:52from the east,
23:53and it's a loss
23:54that Bam Bam Bigelow
23:56would not sit still for.
24:00I want him out,
24:01I want him dead,
24:02I want him,
24:03I just want him gone.
24:05You're right, brother.
24:06You're asking me
24:07because you won't tell me nothing.
24:09Where you been?
24:10I do what I want,
24:12when I want to do it,
24:14and who I want to do it with.
24:16Come on, Taz.
24:20Taz!
24:21Come on, Taz,
24:22do the right thing!
24:23I'm going to team with you
24:37for one reason,
24:38because after I'm done
24:40killing the triple threat myself,
24:43I'm going to give you
24:44a world title shot
24:45at the belt
24:46that means everything,
24:48my TV belt.
24:50Thanks, man.
24:51No, thanks, my ass.
24:53You're going to be my partner, right?
24:55No, brother.
24:56I'm going to be your savior.
24:59And indeed,
25:00Taz was Bigelow's savior
25:02as the franchise
25:03on January 31st
25:05got belly-to-belly
25:07Taz pledged
25:07over the top rope,
25:09and Taz
25:10finally seizing
25:11the opportunity
25:12to demonstrate
25:13that the world TV title
25:15was on equal basis
25:17with the world heavyweight title
25:19Show Douglas
25:20just who was boss,
25:22and then Taz
25:23made the ultimate mistake.
25:25He turned his back
25:26on a member
25:27of the triple threat.
25:30It was all a plan.
25:32It was all a trap.
25:33Bam, bam, Bigelow
25:34was still
25:35with the triple threat.
25:36And so the stage
25:40was set
25:41for a matchup
25:42to determine
25:43who is the toughest man
25:45in extreme championship wrestling.
25:48A battle
25:49for ECW's
25:51world television title.
25:54The night before
25:54the pay-per-view,
25:56our cameras followed
25:57the world television champion,
25:59Taz,
25:59as he went to survey
26:00the building
26:01in Bam Bam Bigelow's
26:02hometown
26:03of Asbury Park,
26:04New Jersey.
26:05Here's the champ
26:06stepping on
26:07the enemy turf.
26:08A battle
26:20of...
26:23A battle
26:26of
26:27A battle
26:29of
26:31A battle
26:34of
26:34E
26:34Oh, my God.
27:04I'm ready.
27:19I'm ready.
27:34ECW's living dangerously emanated from Asbury Park, New Jersey, the hometown of Bam Bam Bigelow, who challenged the 248-pound human suplex machine Taz for the ECW world television title.
27:52Taz took Bigelow down to the mat early with a Fujiwara arm bar, only to have Bigelow come back with an incredible powerbomb.
28:04Taz, outweighed by over 100 pounds, took Bigelow onto the rampway and suplexed him into the crowd, only to have his own head smash into the guardrail.
28:17Bigelow brought the fight back into the ring and attempted a pin with a moonsault.
28:24The fight spilled to the outside as both men pummeled each other with incredible ferocity.
28:31This personal war between Bigelow and Taz was taking on a whole new meaning when it came back into the ring again.
28:42Bigelow, seizing the opportunity, hoisted Taz onto his shoulders, preparing to drive him into the mat for a 1-2-3.
28:54But Taz slipped behind Bigelow and applied the Taz mission, the katahajime.
29:01Bigelow had no choice but to tap, but referee John Finnegan was behind both Taz and Bigelow and could not see Bigelow tap out.
29:13Bam Bam was losing oxygen. Bam Bam was losing consciousness.
29:18And a desperate Scott Charles Bam Bam Bigelow, with one last move left in his body, drove Taz backwards through the ring.
29:30And it was Scott Charles Bam Bam Bigelow who emerged first from the hole in the ring that he had broken with his and Taz's body.
29:42Bigelow dragged an unconscious Taz out of the hole.
29:49And as a stunned capacity crowd looked on, Bam Bam Bigelow covered Taz for the 1-2-3.
30:00A new ECW World Television Champion, Bam Bam Bigelow.
30:08As the medics tended to the fallen former champion.
30:15A new ECW World Television Champion, Bam Bam Bigelow, with the world television title on the line, on live television, Bam Bam Bigelow found himself trapped in the Taz mission.
30:44The Katahajime. He was tapping while losing his oxygen and consciousness.
30:50The referee John Finnegan behind them didn't see Bigelow tapping.
30:54Bam Bam Bigelow did the only thing he could.
30:56He went backwards.
30:58And drove Taz through the ring.
31:02This Sunday night, while these morons have their fun saying their cute little junts and showing their IQs and how much class they don't have.
31:12Chris Candido and I are going to walk down the aisle and living dangerously.
31:19And we're going to teach Lance Storm that triple threat wannabe and never will be.
31:26What the symbol of excellence in this organization is all about.
31:31There's only one problem, and I want an answer tonight.
31:36Who in the hell is he bringing as his...
31:40Shane, hold on, hold on.
31:42It's not a problem because whoever it is, you're the ECW heavyweight champion of the world.
31:48I wanted the best, and I got the best.
31:51It doesn't matter who he brings.
31:54You have that belt because no matter who it is, I can take care of Lance Storm.
31:59You don't have that belt for nothing, brother, okay?
32:01You can take him out.
32:02But you know what?
32:05Yeah, maybe we do still want to answer.
32:07Maybe we do still want to answer because Lance Storm, the whole time, the whole time that you,
32:14you wanted to be my tag team partner was to hold these belts.
32:18No, it was to try and get her.
32:20You wanted to try and get her.
32:23You're right.
32:24Lousy Canadian snake.
32:26I want it.
32:26I want to know who the partner is.
32:28I want to know who it is.
32:30I want to know who it is.
32:31Honey, honey, honey, honey, honey, honey, honey, honey, honey.
32:33Calm down.
32:35I know who the mystery partner is.
32:39You know who it is?
32:40Oh, I knew I loved you for a reason.
32:42Of course I know who it is.
32:44I know everything.
32:45Come on.
32:46Come on.
32:47Come on.
32:47That's why we're the triple threat.
32:52Who is it, huh?
32:54Who is it?
32:55I'm not going to tell you.
32:57Why should I tell you?
32:59You know what you're talking about.
33:03Why should you tell me?
33:04What the hell are you talking about?
33:05Well, because it's a mystery.
33:06Why should I tell you a mystery?
33:08I should wait and let you find out by yourself.
33:13Come on.
33:13What the hell is your problem?
33:15Tell me the damn secret.
33:17What the hell?
33:18Oh, honey, listen.
33:19I'm not going to tell you this secret because, honey, there's lots of secrets you don't know
33:24about me and you can't handle my secrets.
33:26What the hell are you talking about?
33:27What the hell?
33:28You get off my arm right now.
33:31We are in public.
33:32We are not at home.
33:33You let go of me right now.
33:35You let go of me right now.
33:58You let go of me.
33:59from what looked like a bad episode of the jerry springer show back to ecw's living dangerously
34:09pay-per-view we've got a hole in the ring we've got a hole in the ring so we show the sandman
34:16sabu dueling canes match on tape but i can now tell you from experience in 10 minutes you cannot
34:21fix a hole in the ring i mean you gotta loosen the ropes you gotta replace the board you have
34:25to break down the ring and rebuild it on a time frame live television you go past 9 50 p.m eastern
34:30time and the cable companies keep your money we did all we could do we secured the ring we put up
34:38some police tape we canceled the al snow versus john cronis matchup and we went with the main event
34:43meanwhile the cable companies are sitting there going we got him now no wrestlepalooza for you
34:49screw up who went on with the main event the dream partner tag team matchup chris candido and the
34:56franchise shane douglas against lance storm and watch this world tag team champions candido and storm
35:06each got to pick their own dream partner candido picked the heavyweight champion of the world triple
35:11threat founder the franchise shane douglas along with the head cheerleader francine storm was accompanied
35:18to the ringside to the ringside area by candido's fiance sunny who as everyone was looking on announced
35:25that the dream partner for land storm on this night against douglas and candido would be sunny herself
35:33sunny would be the partner for land storm and storm hit the ring with a vengeance tearing into candido and
35:40douglas finally sunny tagged in as candido begged for mercy francine and sunny squared off but candido
35:50grabbed sunny from behind but storm grabbed candido from behind and sunny got out the cookie tray shane
35:57douglas kicked lance storm from behind and sunny swung the cookie tray and nailed lance storm and once again
36:05it was a triple threat it was a triple threat plot and chris candido was up in the face of his world tag team
36:16championship partner lance storm the triple threat thought they had won it all that they had once again
36:25outsmarted the world that even in a broken ring the ring belongs to the triple threat but it was lance
36:34storm who swerved candido who swerved candido and douglas as he named his real mystery tag team partner
36:43al snow and as a sea of heads were bobbing up and down in the asbury park convention hall al snow hit the
36:52ring and mocked the floor with the franchise shane douglas as lance storm took chris candido to the extreme
37:02one snow plow later and al snow pin the franchise shane douglas to automatically become the new number
37:12one contender for the heavyweight championship of the world
37:21next week on the ecw hardcore hotline i'm gonna play for you fans a
37:25a most dangerous interview i did with executive producer and talent coordinator for ecw paul heyman
37:32one of the subjects we approached was the situation involving the ecw world tag team champions chris
37:38candido and lance storm who not only can't stand one another but our main eventing on opposite sides
37:45live on pay-per-view what do we do strip them and have a tournament not in ecw we live in a time where
37:54on unfortunately far too many championships are decided in the corporate boardroom
38:00instead of in the ring unless something occurs that absolutely leaves the promotion without any viable
38:09alternative ecw is not about to follow the piss poor example set by others in this industry
38:17the current ecw world tag team champions are chris candido and lance storm they hold those belts because
38:25to date we haven't found a tag team better than candido and storm or at least a team that can beat
38:32them if ecw were to allow a tournament or a match to determine new champions the public would come to
38:40the rightful conclusion the new champions only hold the belts because the best team the team that no one
38:47could beat the team that should wear the belt couldn't get along i personally don't give a if candido
38:57and storm don't like each other you don't have to hate the athlete who is your opponent and you don't
39:03have to like the athlete who is your partner so candido and storm are going to defend those belts whether
39:11they like it or not until a better team comes along and beats them and by the way if i even smell a swerve
39:21let alone a double cross no matter how cleverly disguised ecw will jealously guard and protect the
39:30integrity of the world tag team titles not by levying some bs fine not by shaving the guilty party's head
39:40not by suspending them from tv we will simply make an evaluation as to which member of the team
39:47betrayed the other put his own interest ahead of the interest this promotion has in preserving the
39:53prestige of the ecw world tag team titles and simply fire that man and allow him to ply his trade elsewhere
40:05thank you for joining us in another episode of extreme championship wrestling and highlights
40:09from the living dangerously pay-per-view special thanks to you fans who supported us either live
40:14at the convention hall in ashbury park new jersey or by purchasing the pay-per-view don't forget we
40:19return the pay-per-view in just under seven weeks sunday night may 3rd from the cobb county civic center
40:26in marietta georgia it's wrestlepalooza 98. welcome to the end of the show in this historic segment you
40:33will see the triple threat and the franchise do something that we don't often do but we can show that we're
40:38big enough men and women to do we're gonna apologize okay taz i'm sorry sincerely truly sorry from the
40:48bottom of my heart for weeks and weeks you've been telling yourself and telling all the people that the
40:54ecw world television title meant as much as my ecw world's heavyweight title and i just couldn't grasp
41:01the concept until living dangerously taz because you see i was gonna be man enough at the end of the
41:07night to walk up to you and say brother you are right your belt means as much as my belt but
41:13unfortunately you couldn't uphold your end of the bargain you couldn't say that you could stand side
41:18by side by a franchise as a world champion because i was going to tell you you and i were on the same
41:23level because you had that title unfortunately bam bam bigelow the beast from the east the taz killer
41:31put you all the way through the ring to the floor and left you laying after he binged you
41:37sorry taz yeah you were right i was wrong brother you and i are world champions we're world champions
41:46we're birds of a feather we flock together we're cut from the same stock
41:52all this talk about biola and jenna jameson if we're going to talk about the real sweetheart here
41:58in ecw let's stop right here right here let's talk about sweet old francine
42:05wow that's nice talking about head al snow you've crossed into no man's land this company was not
42:18built for some gimmick to stand at the end of the most widely watched pay-per-view in its history with
42:23his hand held high walking up into the stands with thousands of fans waving their stinking styrofoam heads
42:29it was meant to be a pedestal for me al snow that's why i made an extreme championship wrestling
42:35that's why i started and carried this revolution so i pulled this company into pay-per-view
42:40al snow you've walked into no man's land
42:44you've done something that i just can't take day and night i can't stop thinking about it
42:48are you a better man or am i a better man i already know up here i just gotta find out in here
42:54who's the better man me or you so i challenge you now snow take the challenge and bring the head
43:01because i want to know we are the triple threat right she's the greatest champion in wrestling
43:07all the time she manages the world heavyweight champion and does other things for me as well
43:14i got this out he is the world's television champion i got this he's a world tag team champion
43:20cripe sakes we make another person lance storm great just by hanging on like a dingleberry
43:27we can't get rid of him we tell the company just get rid of him he can carry the both belts by himself
43:33he's done it all the time it's true i don't want lance around here anyway we can't get rid of him
43:37a wannabe is great because he's associated with us three belts you're welcome three we are the world
43:46champions you're welcome we are the triple threat they're very well said we're the triple threat
