Kutch (Gujarat), May 3, 2025 (ANI): After the 1971 India-Pakistan war, a large number of people from Pakistan's Nagarparkar and Tharparkar regions came to India. Many of them were settled by the government in the border areas of Kutch. According to local residents, there are 15 such villages in Lakhpat tehsil where people came and settled after the 1971 war.Speaking to ANI about the current situation, these people said that the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam was wrong. Regarding the current tensions being reported along the border, the villagers said they stand firmly with the Indian government and have full faith in the country's armed forces. If needed, they are ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with the army and fight against the enemy. Additionally, the people from these border villages stated that there is complete peace in the village at present and they are prepared to face any situation.Some villagers also mentioned that after they came from Pakistan, the Indian government had formed a Border Force Wing, and they had worked alongside the Indian Army. They are trained in handling weapons and, if needed, are ready to join the army in battle against the enemy.
