00:00Hey, what's up? It's Sav Hudson from Between Friends, and today I'm going to show you some of my favorite pieces from my wardrobe.
00:06I would describe my style as fun, eclectic, silly, happy-go-lucky.
00:14I don't know. I definitely like to play around.
00:17I think I'm in an age right now where I just want to try everything before it's too late,
00:23even though I think I'll continue doing this for the rest of my life.
00:26Okay, this is a very special piece to me. My brother had it made for me this past Christmas.
00:35Between Friends is the name of our project.
00:38Got a little Between Friends there, too. I love to wear it.
00:42This is a piece from a brand called Borbala.
00:46She actually uses all recycled materials when making her clothes.
00:50I wore this for a music video called Laurel,
00:53and there's a skirt that matches, but it's in storage now,
00:57but it's out of all recycled, like, plastic. It's crazy.
01:02She has another piece, actually, that she also made for me that I brought out.
01:09It's just so special. I've worn this, like, a lot more than I thought I would.
01:12But as a dress or as, like, a top with jeans under,
01:18I wore this for a friend's Grammy after party.
01:22Very fun, very funky.
01:25This is a very cool piece.
01:26This is vintage Comme des Garçons,
01:28and I think what I can gather,
01:32they chopped up a suit jacket,
01:35and they just kind of, like,
01:36piled it all on top of each other.
01:39So, like, this part goes over right here,
01:41and it's just, like, really chic, really sexy vibe.
01:46This piece is a grail of all grails.
01:52This is ERD and Daft Punk.
01:57For Daft Punk's last album,
02:01they, for their merch line, did a collaboration with ERD,
02:04and they only made a few pieces,
02:06and my brother and I share this,
02:08but it's very special, very cool.
02:12We love Daft Punk.
02:13Okay, this is kind of funny.
02:16It's vintage 90s Miu Miu,
02:18and I've actually never worn it
02:20because I got it from an estate sale,
02:23and it's damaged,
02:24and I just, like, don't want to take it somewhere to get fixed
02:28because I'm too scared they're going to, like, ruin it.
02:30I've worn the top many times before,
02:32and the skirt looks like this.
02:35It's gorge.
02:37But I just love it,
02:39and I like to know that it's in my closet.
02:41Makes me happy.
02:42I love Miu Miu.
02:45Okay, these are fun.
02:47Martina Cox makes these,
02:49and there's a surprise on the butt.
02:54You, basically, this is the front,
02:57and then on the little cheeks,
03:00it's like windows.
03:01I've only worn these once out in public,
03:06and I wore, like, more covered underwear underneath
03:10just because I'm not that scandalous,
03:13but I just think they're so cool,
03:16and, like, all of her work,
03:18she plays with, like, tapestry window curtains.
03:23Like, she has tops that she makes
03:25where, like, it's, like, right here,
03:26and I just think it's so fun and creative,
03:29and I love her work.
03:32This is very special.
03:34One of my very, very close friends, Lindsay,
03:37has a brand called Verconic,
03:38and she makes all of this knitwear herself by hand,
03:43and I have tops from her, sweaters from her,
03:46leg warmers,
03:47and she actually just sent me this sweet little number,
03:51and I'm just obsessed.
03:53I think she's so talented.
03:55This is, like, a double whammy story
03:57because I have shoes that go along with this,
03:59but we played a show in New York a few months back,
04:05and I got a call to be a part of
04:07a Heaven by Marc Jacobs campaign,
04:10and I was, like, not expecting it.
04:12I was so excited,
04:13and I was super hungover,
04:15but I, like, got my butt up and got there,
04:18and afterwards, I was just, like,
04:20alone walking around in New York,
04:21and I had my headphones on,
04:23and I just felt so lucky,
04:25and then I went into this vintage store,
04:26and I, like, saw this jacket,
04:28and I thought I'd get myself a little anecdote
04:31from that special day.
04:34These are the shoes from the shoot,
04:38Marc Jacobs,
04:39and these are the Kiki booth, I think.
04:43I have yet to wear them out
04:47because I'm too afraid I'm going to be, like,
04:50eight feet tall and hurt myself,
04:52but it's, like, another one of those things
04:55I just, like, love that it's in my closet.
04:57I want it in my closet.
04:59I like to just admire them.
05:02This brand called The Incorporated allowed me to create this dress with them
05:11for our performance at Governor's Ball in New York,
05:14and it's still dirty,
05:16and I refuse to clean it
05:17because, like, it's the memory of me
05:20falling down and getting dirty on stage
05:24that I love so much about it.
05:26We basically, I wanted to make a jersey dress, gown type thing.
05:31The back says cutie because that's the name of our VP that came out.
05:36I just love it,
05:37and we added all these.
05:39I took them off because I didn't want it to snag,
05:40but we, my brother and I,
05:41encrusted, like, this whole collar area
05:45with vintage pins
05:46so there were, like, angels and hearts
05:50and fun, beautiful stuff,
05:51and then we had him wear the boys version of it.
05:56This was my mom's beautiful dress.
06:01It looks like Poochie, but it's not Poochie.
06:04She wants me to say that.
06:06It's got this, like, gorgeous kind of leather detailing
06:10and, I don't know, I just think it's so fun
06:13and I like to always have a piece of her with me
06:16wherever I go.
06:18So, I love this dress, like, with little buns,
06:22little dark lip.
06:24This is a very special dress.
06:27So, as you can see, it's very Italian-looking.
06:32I am half Italian,
06:35and I went to Italy a few summers ago with my family,
06:39and I thrifted this dress,
06:41and I couldn't believe that it was real.
06:45It has, like, the Gournou on it,
06:47which is, like, a very Italian, like,
06:51good luck type, like, warding bad energy off,
06:55and it's just encrusted on the back,
06:57like, it's like a necklace on the back,
06:59and then, you know, we got the grapes.
07:02We got the little, little tiny guitar.
07:06This is fun.
07:07I also share this with my brother,
07:09but our manager got this for us for Christmas, I think,
07:14or a birthday.
07:15It's this gorgeous off-white trench coat,
07:19and it's reversible,
07:21so you can be plain and simple,
07:23or you can be like Kodak.
07:26This is a vintage bowling bag,
07:30and it did have a bowling ball in it,
07:33but I am not using it for that purpose.
07:36I think it's a very fun purse to use.
07:40I brought it on our entire second leg of tour
07:44this past time we went out,
07:46and I put so much stuff in there.
07:49I will say the one non-practical thing about it
07:52is, like, when you zip, it's all open,
07:57but beauty is pain.
08:00This is a very special piece to me.
08:02I live in L.A.
08:05I grew up going to the Chateau Marmont,
08:07love Gucci,
08:09and they just so happened to do a collab.
08:12I was having dinner there, like, six years ago,
08:15and they just, like, had these,
08:18like, above the check-in desk, like, in a box,
08:21and I was like, what is that?
08:23He's like, oh, yeah, we did a collab with Gucci,
08:24and it's, you know, no big deal,
08:25and I'm like, yeah, I'm going to need that forever,
08:29and so my best friend and I got matching ones,
08:32and it's just very, very special to me.
08:35I don't know.
08:35I just love it.
08:36I have a huge infatuation with Japanese culture and fashion.
08:43I just love it.
08:44I admire it.
08:45I was at this store called Search and Destroy,
08:49and they get all of their, like, best vintage from Japan,
08:54like, from estate sales or auction houses,
08:57and this is just, like, a perfect purse.
09:02She's fun.
09:02This very, extremely deconstructed little Lamy bag just makes every outfit a little more cute.
09:16This brand is called Lucky Jewel.
09:19They use old puffer jackets, and they just, like, sew it.
09:23It's just everything's, like, recycled and upcycled, and I just, I love that.
09:27There's a theme here for that.
09:29I think you should always upcycle, recycle, reuse.
09:34She's cute.
09:35This is ready for whatever.
09:38Like, you can take me to the park.
09:41You can take me into a party.
09:44You can take me to school,
09:45and it's all acceptable because this is amazing.
09:49These are Dior moon boots.
09:52I think my friend had to fight someone for them in order to get them for me.
09:56The inside is, like, not lined, hard to wear, but I just love them.
10:04All right.
10:05I'm not sure if I'm completely butchering this name,
10:08but by Linnea Christine.
10:13Just made the most amazing art of a boot for me
10:18for a music video that I shot called Orange Juice,
10:22and I couldn't have dreamt of something as perfect as this.
10:30All of these little animals are real stuffed animals,
10:33so it just carries the weight of that,
10:35and, like, when you wear them,
10:37it feels like you're ready to conquer.
10:41I guess I'll start with this piece
10:42just because it's screaming my name.
10:44Um, this is a beautiful piece by Karina Gutos.
10:49Um, she hand makes all of this jewelry,
10:52and she uses, like, real shells, and she pierces them,
10:56and I just think it's so cool, like,
10:59playing with something so natural
11:02and adding something kind of more, like, hard
11:06to such a soft-looking thing.
11:09I think this is probably the most self-explanatory piece on here.
11:17I was in Berlin with my two best friends.
11:20I go almost every summer with them,
11:22and I love techno, and Berlin loves techno,
11:28and I was at this store,
11:30and they had these little pendants
11:34kind of, like, on a clip-on earring,
11:36but I saw that he was custom-making
11:38another pair of earrings for somebody else
11:41that had these, like, diamond-looking things on them,
11:44and I was like, hey, like,
11:46can you do that to mine?
11:48And he was like, yeah, come back in an hour,
11:49and I'll do it for you.
11:50This little box has something fun in it.
11:56My grill.
11:58Should I put it on?
12:01Okay.
12:02This is a gift,
12:03and it's fabulous.
12:07So this is a work in progress.
12:11It doesn't look like much,
12:13but I have this fun idea,
12:14and I think I need one more,
12:16or I need someone to help me
12:18who knows how to work with jewelry.
12:19These are vintage G-Shocks, baby Gs,
12:21because I'm baby G.
12:23And I wanted to, like, make it a choker
12:26of some sort,
12:27but I think I need, like, two more,
12:29so that, like,
12:31the face of the watch can be, like,
12:36in a row.
12:38These are vintage Dior sunglasses
12:40that I think are up there
12:45with, like, some of my favorite sunglasses
12:46of all time.
12:51They're just, I mean,
12:53I don't even have to say anything.
12:54It's just self-explanatory.
12:57You're always going fast
12:58when you wear these.
13:00You're never slowing down.
13:02Another pair of sunglasses
13:03that are vintage.
13:05These were also my mother's
13:06Chanel sunglasses.
13:07I hope she doesn't watch this
13:09because she'll know
13:10that I stole them.
13:13Come on.
13:19A Tamagotchi necklace.
13:21I have two of these,
13:22um,
13:23but I thought I'd bring this one out first
13:25because it was my first one.
13:27And I've actually waited
13:30until this day
13:32to pull the tab.
13:36Should we do it?
13:39Now I've got to feed them all the time.
13:42Thank you so much,
13:43Who What Wear,
13:44for having me today.
13:45I had so much fun sharing with you
13:47all the very special,
13:49eclectic pieces
13:50from my wardrobe.
13:51And maybe you can come over again soon
13:53and I'll show you the rest of the closet.
