00:00one of the toughest places to go in england this season has been ellen road and bristol city felt
00:10the brunt of that with a 4-0 loss midweek away at leeds united leeds united obviously vying
00:16for the championship title they've obviously secured promotion back to the premier league
00:21can they go all the way now and win the title obviously level points going into the final day
00:26with burnley i mean an incredible title race there so you know let's also mention the title race let's
00:33mention where leeds go from here obviously that final day is going to be huge drama and then let's
00:39also look at bristol city i mean obviously one of the most consistent sides throughout 2025 back-to-back
00:46losses in their search for the playoff places that's going to go down to the wire as well in the
00:52championship you know you look at just outside the likes of of blackburn millwall um you know
00:58they're all likely to be very very close i mean even uh middlesbrough if they goal difference
01:04coventry if they slip off as well so bristol city just on the brink so can bristol city actually make
01:10sure that they've got to be there so um we're going to go to dan wales now who's going to mention
01:14a bit about leeds united and their charge for the title their performances at home in this game
01:20and in bristol city um whether their hard work could be undone on the final day dan what are your
01:26thoughts on both sides and how they've navigated so far this season
01:31well charles i think you have to give immense credit to both teams obviously on the night there
01:41was evidently a gulf in class leeds united running out as four nil winners they were just too good for
01:47bristol city in every department they they hassled them they harried them got in their faces and their
01:53press was just suffocating to liam manning's robbins but for bristol city it's it's not the
02:00end of the world they'll still go into their last game against press north end the team fighting for
02:04their lives knowing that a win sees them into the playoffs probably fifth place and probably a tie
02:09or semi-final double leg tie against sunderland but leeds though i think if we start with them properly
02:16they just showed why they are a premier league team in waiting on the night obviously they've not
02:22wrapped up the title yet they're now level on points with burnley once again and that will go to the
02:26final day of the season leeds facing plymouth argyle away from home burnley of course they they'll be on
02:32the same point so leeds just need to match burnley's result because leeds do have a superior goal
02:37difference unless of course an improbable swing of goals which you know it's unlikely but for the most part
02:44leeds just need to match burnley's result to claim the championship title for both clubs of course it
02:49was very much more a case of getting promoted that was the main aim but it would be nice to add the
02:54championship title to what has already been a great season for both teams leeds though as i said before
02:59suffocated smothered bristol city and were just all over the park winning the 50 50s winning the jewels
03:06those little moments especially in the midfield then pressing high when they didn't have the ball as well
03:11and of course they scored four really good goals to get the three points for bristol city as i said
03:17before not all is lost their playoff spot can still be secured on the final day when they take on
03:22preston north end and ashton gate it will be a cup final essentially for bristol city and liam manning's
03:28side obviously this season they've had their moments where things haven't gone their way and maybe the
03:34last couple of games haven't certainly gone their way at all luton town are lost there and then
03:38united a loss there as well but their home form and ashton gate of late has been something to boast
03:45about so they'll certainly go into this game still with confidence despite the two losses they've just
03:49suffered on the road away from home and of course they've got players who can win that game for them
03:56against preston north end preston won't be any pushover because of course as i said as well
04:00they're fighting their lives they've somehow managed to get themselves dragged into the relegation battle which
04:05didn't seem likely even just a few weeks ago they only really needed one more win to secure their
04:10safety and yet here we are with the fact that they could still go down it they're in poor position
04:16to stay up because they're on 50 points but nothing is certain yet so a win would secure their safety
04:22but they might not need that depending on how other results go elsewhere in the championship but
04:29bristol city though they need to go and win secure that fifth place and get themselves into the
04:35pair to take on a sunderland side who are also themselves stumbling towards the playoff campaign
