00:00Hello there, good morning.
00:01It's going to be a fairly cloudy start to the weekend, but more sunshine is on its way
00:06and some very warm temperatures as well.
00:09Now across western areas to start on Saturday, it's going to be fairly damp.
00:13Western parts of Scotland, western parts of Wales, Devon and Cornwall could see quite
00:16a damp and murky start to the day, but largely any rain easing away through the course of
00:21the morning, turning more showery, particularly across Scotland, so some bright and sunny
00:25spells in between.
00:26Across Northern Ireland, a much better day on offer compared to Friday.
00:30More dry weather, plenty of sunshine, and when we catch those sunnier breaks today, it's going
00:35to be feeling rather warm, highs of 18 to 19 degrees, particularly across the southeast.
00:41Now there will still be some cloud and murk to finish off on Saturday, particularly across
00:46Scotland.
00:47A chance we could see some mist and fog patches overnight, and we are going to see a return
00:51of the rain move into the far northwest through the early hours of Sunday, turning quite blustery
00:56across the northwest of Scotland, and a chance of some heavier outbreaks, particularly across
01:01any hilly areas.
01:02Any rain should be fairly light across Northern Ireland, though it's likely we'll see a fair
01:06amount of low clouds, so once again, quite a murky start.
01:09But elsewhere, remaining largely dry, and once again, fairly mild start to Sunday.
01:13Sunday does look like it's going to be the better day of the weekend.
01:17Much more sunshine, particularly across the southern half of the UK.
01:21It is going to be feeling very warm, though, not the best conditions if you're taking part
01:25in the London or Manchester Marathon.
01:27A bit of extra water is probably required, but if you're watching, lots of sunshine to
01:31finish off Sunday afternoon.
01:32But a different story across Scotland, much more cloud here, still with some light outbreaks
01:37of rain across the northwest.
01:39And temperatures improved by a degree or two, highs of around 22 degrees Celsius across the
01:43southeast, so it is feeling very warm where we catch the sunshine over the weekend.
01:47And as we head into next week, we have high pressure building more and more, particularly
01:52across the south, and we're going to see temperatures go up day by day.
01:55So there's a good chance by the time we reach Wednesday and Thursday, quite widespread temperatures
02:00reaching around the mid to high 20s.
02:03But across Scotland, a bit more cloud here at times, perhaps even some rain possible, otherwise
02:08lots of warm sunshine, and many of us feeling very warm in that sunshine too.
02:12But of course, make sure you are subscribed and we'll keep you updated through the week.
02:16Bye-bye.
