00:00Welcome back Sunbro, we hope you all in great health and great money.
00:04Before we start, please at least subscribe so we can have little money for food and paying bills.
00:09Alright, today we are going to talk about probiotics and mental health, what the latest
00:14research tells us. Wondering if probiotics can lift your mood? The new study suggests they might.
00:20Researchers found that probiotics reduce negative mood in healthy adults, people without diagnosed
00:24depression, which means they could benefit anyone. Mood improvements showed up around the two-week
00:29mark. Daily mood tracking helped spot these changes, which standard questionnaires often miss.
00:34This was the first study to use daily tracking, and by the end of the month, negative moods were
00:38still improving. Why does this matter? Your gut produces about 95% of your serotonin,
00:44a key mood-regulating chemical. So better gut health might support better mental health.
00:48In the study, 88 healthy adults, average age 22, took either a probiotic or placebo daily for 28 days.
00:55The probiotic had 9 strains of bacteria, mixed in water. Standard tests showed little difference,
01:01but daily check-ins revealed a clear drop in negative mood for those on probiotics.
01:05The interesting part, probiotics didn't reduce positive mood, just the negative,
01:09unlike some antidepressants that can dull both. People who were more risk-averse saw the most benefit,
01:14suggesting some may respond better than others. But keep this in mind, probiotics aren't a replacement
01:19for therapy or medication. They may help as part of a broader approach, but not as a standalone fix.
01:25They're supplements, not FDA-approved treatments. That said, adding probiotics or more gut-friendly
01:30whole foods could support your mental health, just make sure you stay informed.
01:34More research is still needed.
01:41Come again to our next meeting Sunbro.
