00:00It's Jim Monahan from the WDHA Morning Jolt. I'm at the Golf Cave Indoor Golf in Randolph on Route 10 East.
00:08Come on inside.
00:21Now we're open. We've been open for like almost two weeks now.
00:25And love the place. Everyone is just amazed with our concept.
00:31So it's not like an open floor golf simulator place.
00:34We have our own cave. You're in your own bubble.
00:38You do your own thing. When you come with friends, you say whatever you want.
00:43Talk trash. Get some music going on.
00:47We're BYOB. So you bring your stuff. You have fun.
00:53And this is for me the perfect environment.
00:55I'm the kind of golfer now.
00:57I enjoy going on the golf course.
00:59Put a little bit of music on.
01:01This is nothing serious. Like we're just having fun.
01:04This is a fun environment.
01:05And being able to work with that type of technology TrackMan.
01:09And for me, it's a good fit.
01:12So everything led me to over here. And I'm just happy to be here.
01:16Friends of mine who play regularly say that they are addicted to the game.
01:20What makes golf so addicting?
01:22I think it's the ultimate challenge. It's a physical challenge.
01:25It's a mental challenge. It's a technical challenge.
01:28You're not just playing against others. You're playing against a golf course.
01:33The elements, the weather, you're playing against yourself.
01:37Mostly golf is a mental game and you need to.
01:40So I think it's a complete game.
01:44There's other sports that are complete as well.
01:47But golf is my sport and I think it's the most complete sport you can have.
01:52So I think that's what makes it very attractive to most people.
01:57You mentioned having friends come in with you here to Golf Cave and you bring your own beverages and food and what have you.
02:03Though I don't play, I've been to a couple of tournaments where you have to be very quiet.
02:07Yeah.
02:08Very, very quiet. So that seems like totally different.
02:10A little trash talking during golf is not what people expect.
02:13Some places, some courses will and that's okay.
02:17We'll keep that traditional mindset of like well dressed and tuck shirt and hats in front and no talking and quiet place.
02:28And it's okay for some to keep that.
02:32But I think most of it, if we want to go to the next generation of golfers,
02:37I think we need to ease down a little bit on the dress code on the everything like we said,
02:44like the sound talking and it's just a sport.
02:47You just see, there's just a little ball that we're trying to make it move forward.
02:51So it doesn't have to be too complicated or too snobby.
02:54Well, here's someplace I never thought I'd be the iconic seventh hole at Pebble Beach here at Golf Cave.
03:00This has really been a good time.
03:02Bring some friends, bring some family, come on and have a good time.
03:05Work on your golf game, learn how to play.
03:08For more information, go to their website, golfcave.com.
03:11And come play Pebble Beach.
