00:00Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, the time has arrived to get our first look at this year's completed.
00:11Call Sam Chopper.
00:12That's right, Darren. From parts to paint, this beauty is ready to hit the road and find a new owner.
00:17Let's give the people what they want. Roll that beautiful bike footage.
00:30Introducing the new Call Sam Chopper, a refreshed 2010 Harley Davidson Street Glide with a 103 cubic inch B-twin engine and small highway cam.
00:46Custom features include 10-inch ape hanger handlebars, 4-inch stretch saddlebags with one-touch hardware,
00:53new LED lighting, and a loud and proud D&D Fat Cat exhaust.
00:59This two-tone custom paint job is branded with bold marble designs that are complemented with chrome everywhere.
01:08It's a bold look that catches the light, day or night.
01:12Now, after a proper reveal, we need to hear this hog squeal.
01:17You know what to do, Dave.
01:20This season, we started with a basic bike and needed to change it into something we like.
01:31For perspective and purpose, we visited a vet at the BOAMI and saw firsthand how our fundraising pays off.
01:39Dave's design mandate called for wicked paint.
01:43So, we flew out to a funky farm and witnessed some cool techniques that are truly unique.
01:49We even went back to motorcycle school to learn how to ride wise after winning this prize.
01:56Back at Bad Pig, Dave gave his final approval and chromed out this cruiser with bountiful bling.
02:09As expected, this banger runs smooth with plenty of style for every mile.
02:18The road test is a rumbling success. Now, a word with Dave to tell us the rest.
02:23All right, Dave, time's come. Here she is. Tell us how this beauty rides.
02:30Going down the road, it's nice and smooth. It handles well.
02:33We changed the front end, did the oiling in it, put a tuner in it, and it handles pretty well.
02:39Comfortable with the handlebars.
02:40How's it different from previous bikes that we built?
02:43The previous bikes we built were Softails. Softails are a city bike, I call them.
02:47You go from here to Troy and have a good time.
02:51This bike here is a street bike and a highway motorcycle where you can get on it
02:56and you can go from here to Tawas and back, you know, and have a nice trip.
03:00I'm a little privy to the color red. I was just wondering about the inspiration on the color
03:07and a little bit different with the design this year.
03:10Well, from previous years, we did on the paint, we did one solid color.
03:16This year, we decided to throw a little artwork into the paint and maybe a little two-tone.
03:21It turned out a little bit better and we used your inspiration for red.
03:26Ah, yeah. And then how about, what are your favorite features of it this time?
03:29Well, there's a lot of good features on this motorcycle.
03:32For one, the bags are what we call 14 and up bags. They're called One Touch.
03:37It opens up real easy and it's got more capacity for more stuff for traveling.
03:42Then we put a two-up seat on there for you so you can put a passenger on and they'll be comfortable.
03:47The 10-inch handlebars are so that your arms are nice and comfortable when you're riding.
03:53And then we put, my favorite part's got to be the exhaust system.
03:56It's called the D&D Fat Cat and the pipe makes the sound of the motorcycle sound like a pro street going down the road,
04:03which is very good for performance.
04:06So many things to love. Obviously, plenty of bang for the buck.
04:11Let's get serious. I'm going to stand here. I got to hear this thing.
04:14Yeah. Can we fire this up a little bit?
04:17And this can be yours. Call Sam Chopper's shop. Get your tickets today.
04:37Hi, this is Doug Wolf from Midwest Police Motorcycle Training.
04:44This week's safety tip is group riding. Group riding can be a lot of fun, but it can also be extremely dangerous.
04:51Three things that I'd like you to keep in mind when you either form a group for a ride or participate.
04:57All members of the group should know where you're going and the general route you're taking.
05:02You should know who the weakest rider is in the group and base your ride on that rider, not who the best is.
05:10You should ride in a staggered formation, not side by side or what we call tandem.
05:16Tandem riding is an extremely dangerous way to ride and it should not be done by people who do not do it on a normal everyday basis.
05:27Don't forget there's still time to buy your tickets for a chance to win this beauty and also help Michigan's homeless vets.
05:34But if you still need more convincing, come out, see the bike for yourself.
05:38We'll have it displayed at motorcycle events leading up to the raffle on Friday, September 15th.
05:43Stay in the loop by heading over to CallSam.com to see the event schedule and to purchase your raffle tickets.
05:49As always, thank you for helping support our vets.
05:52And tune in next time where we reveal the winner of the Season 3 Call Sam Chopper.
