00:00All right, rocking with Demesman and Dover, we have your Therapy Thursday Part 2 out of the 941.
00:07It said, Freaks, I'm a newlywed of five months and seven days, and I'm happy, but financially, I'm not used to so much activity in and out of my now-hour bank account.
00:20Bills are one thing, but my husband eats out for lunch every day.
00:24He's been to Home Depot three times with big purchases.
00:27I don't want to be a jerk, but I hate this part.
00:31I'm more tight with my money, but now our money is leaving faster than I'm normal with.
00:37What does a marriage rookie do in this situation?
00:40You have a sit-down, you are mature, and you talk about finances.
00:44Or you get separate accounts, I think.
00:46Have three accounts, one yours, one his, and a joint account, and put the household purchases and the community stuff in the household one,
00:56and then you guys handle your own individuals.
00:58Is this something that you would rather have discussed before you get married?
01:03Because, I mean, waiting after five months and seven days seems like, you know, kind of like late to be having a financial conversation.
01:11Or is that normal because this is what you find out after you get together?
01:14It's one of the hardest conversations for a lot of couples and individuals to actually own up to and talk about.
01:19I can see why most would be apprehensive about it.
01:22But now that you're aware of his, we'll call it overspending, you can separate your accounts if you want to.
01:28But now that you see what's going on, it's hard to forget about that.
01:32So definitely a sit-down conversation about, hey, can we kind of not spend so much?
01:36And maybe separating is a good idea.
01:38Can you imagine sitting there, like, you don't like stuff coming out of your account?
01:41You're like, he had Jersey Mike's again.
01:45Yeah.
01:45No, but that's what's happening.
01:46He's eating out again.
01:48Like, you know, like she's sizing it up.
01:50Like, look at this money coming out.
01:51It's bothering her.
01:51It's bothering her like a major thing.
01:53So that's nasty.
01:55We got a text.
01:56It says, my husband is a sneaker head and he just found out that about half of his sneaker collection is fake.
02:01His sneaker hookup has been selling him fakes for the price of these hard to find exclusive shoes.
02:08Thousands and thousands of dollars he thought he spent on real shoes.
02:12He initially wanted to pull up and fight the guy.
02:15I talked him out of that.
02:16But now he wants to sell them as if they were real.
02:20Basically doing the same shady thing that happened to him.
02:23Don't get caught.
02:24They'd come back on you.
02:25Can you go to jail for selling fakes?
02:27Yeah, of course you can.
02:28They just did a big crackdown even in New York.
02:30I just saw.
02:31So, I mean, so all of your kick.
02:33I wonder, is he still wearing them?
02:35That's a good question.
02:36We know people that wear fakes.
02:37I mean, realistically, like nobody knows.
02:39He just found out.
02:40Right.
02:41So, if nobody knows, first of all, don't go fight somebody.
02:44We know you're going to go to jail for that.
02:46But if you try and sell it, now you're now guilty.
02:49Now you're breaking the law.
02:50If you could go to jail for that.
02:51Imagine you got taken.
02:53That dude don't go to jail.
02:55You try it and a couple pairs in.
02:56Now you get busted for copyright infringement or logo tint, whatever.
03:01Yeah.
03:01And now you go to jail.
03:02I think that's a crime right there.
03:04I think homie needs to just take his L.
03:07You lost.
03:08Just get a new plug, definitely get a new sneaker hookup, but just charge this one to
03:13the game.
03:13I wouldn't sell them just for karma's sake.
03:17Yeah, it's illegal copyright.
03:18Just for bad karma.
03:20I wouldn't sell them because now you know, and you know how that made you feel.
03:24Yeah.
03:24But yeah, man, I would say charge it to the game.
03:27Okay, Dobby.
03:28So, he got you.
03:29Would you wear the shoes?
03:31I mean.
03:31Nobody knows.
03:32He's probably been wearing them.
03:34So, I don't think I would stop.
03:36If it took this long for you to realize that they're fakes, yeah, I'd probably, business
03:42as usual.
03:43If no one knew, what's the problem?
03:45That's what I'm saying.
03:45If nobody said it to you, like, yo, your Nike swoosh should look weird.
03:49Like, you know, you might as well go ahead and rock them.
03:51Meredith, you rock fake bags every now and then.
03:53What the hell did you just say?
03:55No, I don't.
03:57Never?
03:57No.
03:58I mean, I have my fakes if I'm traveling, if I'm going to Mexico or something like that.
04:02There you go.
04:03That's fakes.
04:03That's what I meant.
04:04When was the last time I did that?
04:06Nah, ever.
04:07I had a pair of Jordans that I didn't know were fake until I tried to play ball in them.
04:11And I was like, oh, my feet are killing me.
04:13Did they blow out or something?
04:14They didn't blow out.
04:15They just didn't have the same kind of cushion.
04:17That's what I figured out was some ones.
04:19I bought some black Air Force ones.
04:21And I was like, why did these hurt my feet so much?
04:23Because they weren't built like regular 90s.
04:25Yeah.
04:25Didn't you buy some fake Dre headphones, too?
04:27Yeah, some Beats by Dre headphones.
04:28Oh, they was Beats by Hay.
04:31I got one here out of the 727.
04:32I went through a little bit of a slutty phase.
04:35I was at this bar and this older gentleman came up to me and we hit it off.
04:39He asked if I could go back to his apartment later.
04:41So I decided to go, especially since I always thought older men were always sexy.
04:45Well, we got back to his place.
04:47I laid back and he started to, let's call, enjoy my body.
04:51All of a sudden, I heard a little click clack.
04:54I didn't know what the sound was.
04:55So I opened my eyes and what I saw, I can't get out of my head.
04:58I saw his false teeth on the table while he was enjoying me.
05:03It was one of the best experiences I've ever felt.
05:11I waited a minute.
05:14Even though everything felt great, I had to get the hell out of there.
05:17But he's calling me nonstop now.
05:19We'll call it the gum job was amazing.
05:21I don't know if I should give him a second chance.
05:23Oh, grandpa took his teeth out.
05:31He's like, well, let me show you what I can do.
05:35I mean, what?
05:37Yeah.
05:37A gum job?
05:38A gum job.
05:39It felt good.
05:42Okay.
05:43All right.
05:43She thought he was good looking beforehand.
05:45Teeth, taking your teeth.
05:46I'm a big teeth person and smile person.
05:49You can't, that would bother me.
05:51I can't, you can't be taking out your teeth.
05:52If you, wow.
05:54So he must be older, older.
05:56I guess so.
05:56Like, okay.
05:57I mean, to put it in our way, I mean, if you are with a woman and a woman pops out her teeth,
06:03I probably think it's probably going to be enjoyable.
06:06Oh, hell no.
06:07It probably wouldn't.
06:08I couldn't.
06:08I mean, I don't think I could either, but I'm saying just going off the feeling.
06:12If you're already there.
06:12Everything you hate about that act is teeth related.
06:16No, it shouldn't be teeth related.
06:19That's what I'm saying.
06:20Teeth related.
06:21If you have anything dealing with the teeth, there's a negative in that thing.
06:24So if you remove the teeth.
06:26Yeah.
06:27And you just gum, bum, bum, bum, bum.
06:28It might be the best thing you've ever felt in your whole life.
06:32She said it was the best.
06:33Yeah.
06:33So do you go back to, you know.
06:36If you can get over it.
06:37I mean, why not?
06:37Optimus Prime over here transforming on you.
06:40Do you go back to that?
06:41Is it worth it?
06:43Why not give him an extra chance?
06:44If she's not.
06:45She heard a click clack.
06:46Click clack.
06:47He put it like in a cup of water.
06:51Wow.
06:51All right.
06:52Well, go on, girl.
06:53Do what you got to do.
06:54Happiness comes in all different shapes.
06:56And as a medical professional, I would tell you happiness comes in all different shapes
07:01and sizes.
07:01If you found something that you can enjoy, whether it's for the moment or, you know, for the
07:06whole deal, the full ride, just enjoy yourself.
07:09If it was the end, if it was the best you ever had, enjoy it while you got it.
07:13Right.
07:14You know?
07:14I mean, because he don't sound like he going to be for this world long.
07:17If he's removing teeth, he might not be here for a while.
07:20So go ahead and enjoy Paw Paw.
07:22Get what you got to get.
07:23All right?
07:23Let's see.
07:24We can get one more.
07:26It says, Therapy Thursday, I've been with my guy for 12 years.
07:30Three kids, open up one of his job mail and saw that he has his brother as a beneficiary.
07:39Do I ask him about this?
07:42Oh, yeah.
07:42How long have they been together, you said?
07:44It said, been with my guy 12 years and they have three kids.
07:48Yes, 100%.
07:49His brother is his beneficiary.
07:50You know what?
07:52This is signed Onika.
07:54All right.
07:54So listen, Onika, there are people out there who have beneficiaries decided.
07:59And forget to change it.
08:02Like, they don't think about it.
08:04But you don't just get one, though.
08:06She could be part of it, too.
08:08She could be.
08:08And that's where you need to have a combo.
08:09If the listing of the beneficiaries on there and it has one person, that's probably just an election that he hasn't updated yet.
08:16Like, I had my mom on there forever.
08:19And then when I had kids, and my kids was like five, and I realized, oh, my damn.
08:23And I had to go in there and change it because I'm like, I got children now.
08:26But for five years, they wouldn't have got nothing.
08:29Yeah.
08:29So it's sometimes you forget.
08:31So it's her issue that she's not one or that she doesn't think his brother should be.
08:38I think it's probably because they have three kids and they've been together 12 years.
08:42They have a whole life.
08:43You know, and she wants to bring it up.
08:44I think that's totally fair for you to bring it up and say, hey, you know, I was noticing this.
08:50Sorry.
08:50I saw the opening.
08:52You're going to have some pushback for opening somebody else's mail because I learned that a long time.
08:56My dad didn't play that.
08:57Don't open my mail.
08:58Yeah.
08:59So even with my mom, like, don't open my mail.
09:01Yeah.
09:01Like, it's because he explained to me, he's like, that is a federal offense.
09:05It is.
09:05And I was like, but my name is the same as yours.
09:07He's like, boy, you know damn well that that was something for me.
09:10Yeah.
09:10And you can't do that.
09:12So you do have to kind of suck it up and say, hey, I wasn't supposed to be looking, but I was, you know, I saw it.
09:17I opened it up accidentally, whatever you're going to say, and then say, but I did notice this.
09:22And, you know, is that a mistake or whatever?
09:24Because, you know, we want the kids covered.
09:26And why not?
09:26And that's a conversation any man who loves his family is going to be willing to have after he forgives you for digging in his mail.
09:33Yeah.
09:34I bet you that man has his teeth.
09:38What?
09:39I'm sorry.
09:39I'm still thinking about the gummy guy.
09:41Listen.
09:42Pawpaw is over.
09:43Yeah.
09:43Okay.
09:44Let Pawpaw live.
09:45All right.
09:45Can we do that?
