00:00Hi, it's VHA's Rock and Rough, and I am Terry Carr. I am here with my good friend Franny from
00:07Halfway Home Rescue. I'm so happy to see you. We kind of got closed down after COVID and pandemic
00:13time, so it's so nice to have you back on Rock and Rough. Before we introduce everybody to
00:17beautiful Remy, Franny, tell us a little bit about Halfway Home and kind of the mission statement
00:24around the rescue, because you guys are a rescue plus a little bit more, so just let
00:29us know. Our motto is be kind to every kind, so what we do is we rescue all kinds of animals.
00:35Obviously, we mostly rescue dogs, but we have a little rescue farm, and what we do is we
00:41sort of like revolutionize the way animals are sheltered. They live in a home, and there
00:45are no cages. Everybody lives together. Chickens, a pig. Last time I saw Franny, no lie, she was
00:52leaving a WDHA event and went to pick up a chicken, and the chicken was in the back of
00:57your car. So that's an absolute true story. So we welcome all kinds of animals, and we
01:03love the seniors and the hospice animals the most, and sort of the at-risk animals, and
01:08really animals that get forgotten even by other rescues. So we kind of like the underdog
01:14and the under chicken and the under pig. I love that. I love that. So tell us a little
01:19bit about Remy. Remy has amazing energy. She's a really super happy, as you can see with all
01:25the rolling, and a very happy, sweet, friendly girl. Kind of ended up getting kind of passed
01:32around by no fault of her own. No fault of her own, exactly. She adores children. She
01:37was living in a home with a family for all of her four years of life. Unfortunately, that
01:42family got another dog. That dog decided that they didn't want to live in a house with two
01:46other dogs. That dog started to attack Remy. So she was asked to leave, which is hard to
01:53believe because she is so amazing with children. She loves people. And Remy's a really happy
01:59dog, as you can see. Friendly, happy, energetic, would make a good walking and running partner.
02:05But you've also told me she settles down nicely. She does. She likes, she's a good helper. She
02:09helps us garden. She'll lay on the grass while you're doing what you're doing, doing exactly
02:13this in the sun. We found she's a really good hiker. We taught her how to climb logs and
02:17jump over things. Next is swimming we're working on. But she's, she's a perfect, a perfect
02:24adventure partner because she has the energy to go. But then when you're home and you're
02:28tired and you want to lay on the couch, she does all that too. Let's check her out. The
02:32beautiful Remy. Remy. Interacting with our staff on DHA's Rock and Rough and having a real
02:37good time. Meet Remy from Halfway Home Animal Rescue. I just loved hanging out with Remy.
02:43She has such a great energy. She's a four-year-old love bug who through no fault of her own has
02:49never really had a home to call her own. A few things to know about Remy. She is super
02:54friendly, always smiling, energetic, yet settles down nicely and loves to cuddle. And Remy loves
03:01kids. In fact, she was fostered in a home with many children and was a very patient dog.
03:06And she's a great size. Remy loves to go on hikes, loves going for car rides, and is a Velcro
03:12dog, meaning she bonds very quickly and simply loves to be around people. We think Remy would
03:18prefer to be your one and only dog and would make a great best friend for just about anyone. If you

03:35Told you, Remy is so much fun right now. She's enjoying a treat. She takes treats very gently,
03:41too. And this is just a great dog. She's got a great energy. Would make an awesome summer
03:47partner for hiking, as Franny said. Running, walking, working on swimming. She loves to garden.

04:23too, because you're out of the puppy stage, yet you've still got a lot of life. And this is just
04:29a wonderful dog who has shown us what a great part of her personality can shine in a home and maybe
