03:00zombies and then seven dust rains victorious and it's just unbelievable so let me tell you what it
03:05reminds me of it reminds me of being in that era as being a dad and trying to watch adult swim fan
03:10with your kids in the bed with you and you couldn't do it so now i can and the kids love the video and
03:15and i would like to hopefully possibly do like a series of those type videos because it seems like
03:19a lot of people missed that and it's so fun to see those things again and it's kind of a nostalgic
03:24thing that brings us back to whatever time and period that that was fun for us so it's a good way to
03:29look at a band in a different light we're like superheroes i loved watching you made of clay too
03:33there's like nothing like watching him so i have to say this also and i wouldn't do this because
03:38we have other bands on the bill and i love all of our bands i gotta get we gotta get shirts made
03:42and you know what they're gonna say no one wants to follow seven oh no don't say that no because i
03:47will tell you that i think everyone has that story the first time they've seen you guys live maybe
03:52when we were younger we had trampolines that were hidden behind the monitors and we were jumping
03:56they were like thought we were real superheroes but i think mine was rolling rock town
03:59rolling rock town fair that was something was tommy lee there yes i hung out with tommy lee and
04:07that was the funny thing about is i had a print shirt on with him on the motorcycle
04:11when i went on the bus and i was like hey how you doing she's like i'm my tail
04:15can i tell a quick story tommy lee went on after you and it did not go well
04:21and uh and there was uh there was a ruckus in the trailer park backstage uh disturbed was getting
04:28in a fight with somebody and then i think like with uh nickelback no not nickelback it's another
04:33band some band like that and they came to get us and of course seven of us ran out to help them and
04:38i was i believe wacko was our security guard i think he threw a chair he's a wacko wacko uh wacko
04:44was from our boston area wacko threw a chair i remember he was going through a chair in the bus and i was
04:50hanging out with his other atlanta band injected yeah remember those guys yeah
04:54they're such good guys so jay who's a good friend of mine from atlanta and um and uh we had those
05:00trailers we're like we had a george foreman griller making sandwiches watching all this go down out
05:05the window we weren't getting involved in any of it that's so funny back in the day we were kids we
05:09were all kids we don't do that kind of stuff anymore i'm at your local applebee's by 7 30
05:13in bed by nine o'clock watching my stories 90 day fiance i love that my stories oh that's my jam
05:21are you kidding me i love 90 day fiance well who the hell did i marry that's like any any of that
05:27kind of stuff sleeping with the enemy oh shit i'm sorry i'm on here that's okay um so so yeah so
05:33look we've known each other a long time long rich history with the band and when i say no one wants
05:39to fall seven dust they're just one of the great live bands in history we talk about this so much
05:43energy on that stage and just like that you can sense your passion and and there's more of a
05:47cohesive unit with the band i think now more than ever does age and wisdom get you wiser as life goes
05:55on where you say you know what i look around and i see you know my brothers in this band and i see
06:00morgan and i see clint and i realize how much we mean to each other and what we do and how important
06:05it is to all of us does that come with age and experience absolutely but you know when you say
06:09that when we first started this band and we were kids and i remember sitting in the sandbox and
06:13writing a song together i said wouldn't it be incredible if one day we were able to be parents
06:17and bring our kids out and be on a tour bus and have our families and be continuing to do this and
06:21thank the lord that this legacy is continuing that in that type of way we're able to bring these
06:26babies out and and bring them in to see what daddy's doing and and meeting all these beautiful
06:30people it's uh it's been an incredible journey i wouldn't want a few things i would like to
06:34change but i feel like that's what put the scars on this has made us hard and it's kept us around
06:39and relevant and there's a we're a real band i feel i said you know a lot of people can have a
06:42group and be a bunch of people that are just playing i feel like seven of us is a band yeah
06:47oh absolutely absolutely and i think it was really um i really felt that after covid when you guys came
06:52out with blood and stone it's hard to believe that it's been all those years since and of course now
06:57truth killer is coming out in july and i will say you mentioned being a dad and i said you got some
07:02crazy years ahead of you man oh yes have you ever seen his daughter no oh is he are you in trouble
07:06yeah but you know what she said the other day she's beautiful thank you thank you but you know
07:10hopefully i'm lucky i'm lucky right now because she's like you know dad i think guys are cute and
07:14i say everything but i don't want to have a girl a boyfriend right now because i see the other girls
07:18and i get the feelings hurt she's i just like to be able to hang out and they think i'm cute and i
07:21think they're cute i'm like okay good that's as far as it's going he's got some years ahead of him
07:25let me tell you what the other day i picked her up from track practice and these dudes come outside
07:29with full-on beards and short shorts wow and i said well who are those grown men and she's like
07:34they're seventh graders but as soon as she said that as soon as i said that i said you smell like
07:41tobacco she's like she's like oh that's the varsity boys team they were in the gym i'm like what are
07:47they doing in there i think there's a reality show how old is that grown man that just came out 56
07:51i love that she's like the rock star's daughter yeah she's like oh that's chad his beard was
07:55hanging down to his gut i'm like how did he grow that you still live in the atlanta area no i live
08:01in kansas i love it yeah oh you're in kansas opening park kansas man because i like i've run i run i
08:05feel like i ran into you like once every five years from like when i went to school in university of
08:09georgia okay cool so it's like every every like five years i'll like run into you or see you at a show
08:14and you're no more atlanta man my wife tricked me i'm in kansas and i love it there yeah
08:17just in the middle of the country just quiet quiet yeah i can get down the way i like to we
08:22got a farmhouse out there we got 20 head of cattle out there and i ride fast cars and motorcycles so
