00:00And now we get going with Eastside Dave and Quick Sports.
00:03What do you got, man?
00:04Well, of course, we're going to start with football, where the Super Bowl is officially set.
00:09Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Arizona in two weeks for the championship.
00:16Wow, how about that, huh?
00:17First, the Eagles crush the 49ers in the NFC Championship, 31-7.
00:23Like a hot knife through butter.
00:25Philly was unbelievable.
00:27They knocked 49er rookie sensation Brock Purdy out of the game with an elbow injury.
00:33So it was down to quarterback number four, Josh Johnson, for the Niners.
00:39And they weren't going to have a lot of success that way.
00:41And they knocked that guy out.
00:42Yeah, they got him.
00:43Purdy tried to come back, but they messed up his elbow.
00:45He just couldn't play.
00:46Eagles turned the Niner offense over three times.
00:49They never looked back.
00:51The 49ers just had no answer.
00:53So Jalen Hurts and company off to the big game.
00:56Then, in the AFC Championship, Patrick Mahomes led the Chiefs down the field with 41 seconds left for a last-second field goal as the Chiefs beat the Bengals 23-20.
01:09Good game, man.
01:10Another great game.
01:11Chiefs-Bengals becoming—Chiefs-Bengals and Bengals-Bills are becoming two really great rivalries with those three young quarterbacks.
01:18Rematch at last year's championship game, right?
01:21Yes, that was an AFC Championship rematch.
01:23Mahomes lost last year and this year with the banged-up ankle he wins.
01:27In fact, he threw for 326 yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions.
01:30He looked amazing and was, you know, still a little bit hobbled.
01:34Meanwhile, the Kansas City defense picked off Joe Burrow twice.
01:37And the Chiefs are headed back to the Super Bowl.
01:39And this should be a great game, I think.
01:42Chiefs-Eagles?
01:43Yeah, I mean, I don't know who you go for.
01:44Listen, they've been the two best teams in the league.
01:46You know?
01:47Yeah, no, you're right.
01:47We're looking at two No. 1 seats.
01:49Yeah, you're right.
01:50And I think that's going to be awesome.
01:53I think two weeks should be enough, I believe, for Mahomes' ankle to be healed.
02:00Yeah.
02:00So we'll see.
02:01I don't know.
02:02Boy, the Eagles sure look good, man.
02:05And you know, let me just say this.
02:07Steve Spagnuolo—
02:07I hate saying that.
02:08He is the defensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs.
02:13Yeah, I recognize that.
02:14And the reason why I've always been a fan of Spaggs is because he was the Giants' defensive
02:18coordinator in 07 and 08 when they beat Tom Brady, Randy Moss, that undefeated team.
02:23He was the guy who called the defense when the Giants won 17-14.
02:26Right, right, right.
02:27This guy is a big-game defensive coordinator.
02:30It's weird.
02:31It's like, you know, how Derek Jeter got a reputation for being clutch.
02:35It feels like Spaggs is a great playoff defensive coordinator and Super Bowl, so I think right
02:43now the Chiefs have a little bit of an edge for me.
02:45You think he'll be able to call a defensive game that stops Jalen Hurts and all those—
02:50A little bit of an edge.
02:51That kind of, ah, I'm going to run the ball now.
02:53Just a little bit of an edge.
02:54I will say this.
02:55The Eagles look complete.
02:58They look bad.
02:59Throwing, defense, quarterback, special teams.
03:04It's brutal.
03:05They look complete, so it's going to be a good game.
03:08I'm excited for the Super Bowl.
03:10I am.
03:11Basketball, Knicks, Nets, and 76ers all off yesterday.
03:14This evening, the Nets go against the Lakers at the Barclays Center.
03:17Sixers take on the Magic in Philly, and Knicks are off.
03:21They play the Lakers tomorrow in the Garden.
03:23Hockey, Devils, Rangers, Flyers all inactive.
03:25And then finally, listen to this story.
03:28Back to football for a second.
03:29The Empire State Building lit their building green and white yesterday in support of the
03:38Philadelphia Eagles making the Super Bowl.
03:41Wait, New York City?
03:43The Empire State Building.
03:44There's only one, baby.
03:46Did it just move to Philadelphia?
03:48No, it did not.
03:49Why the hell are they honoring the Eagles with green and white?
03:52They're in New York.
03:53I have no idea, especially since they are a division rival with the Giants.
03:58Yeah.
03:58And, you know, they play the Jets enough that no one likes singing the Eagles.
04:03And I don't know.
04:05I don't get it.
04:06It got destroyed online.
04:08As well it should.
04:08As you would imagine.
04:09The New York Sanitation Company says that's a disgrace.
04:15The New York Buildings Company says you should be embarrassed.
04:19The Empire State Building has turned on New York City by lighting up green and white for the
04:26Eagles?
04:27Apparently, the New York Sanitation colors are green and white.
04:31So, even New York Sanitation took to Twitter and said, just pretend they're letting it up
04:34for us.
04:35For the garbage man.
04:36We're doing one for the garbage man.
04:38Because, yeah, that's our colors.
04:40ESPN said, did you guys lose a bet?
04:43They're getting annihilated.
04:45As well they should.
04:46I know Philly is close.
04:48But, Philadelphia is a major city with their own teams.
04:52You want to light your own buildings up in Philly?
04:54Do that.
04:55Okay?
04:56Not in New York City.
04:57I have a proposition.
04:59I say New York trades the Empire State Building to Philly for two draft picks and the Ben
05:05Franklin Bridge.
05:07That's my solution.
05:08You didn't want the bell?
05:09You don't want the bell?
05:10No, I'll go with the Ben Franklin Bridge.
05:12There's always, the Hudson River crossings are always such a pain in the ass if we can
05:16add the Ben Franklin Bridge.
05:17We could use another.
05:18We got the Holland, the Lincoln, the GWB.
05:20Now we got that.
05:21Much more useful than a bell with a crack in it.
05:23Right.
05:23So, that's my thing.
05:24All right?
05:25I like it.
05:25That's it.
05:27Wow.
05:28They lit up green and what?
05:29I don't get it.
05:30Ah.
05:31I mean.
05:32That's a mistake.
05:33And literally everyone in New York was all over them within a second.
