00:00It's time to announce QYK Guitar Pull Artist No. 4.
00:04This man has been on tour with Brett Young, Brooks & Dunn, Lady A, just to name a few.
00:11Please reveal yourself, QYK Guitar Pull Artist.
00:14What up, Tampa Bay and Shelby Shane. How y'all doing?
00:17Yeah, he's my son and that's my choice.
00:20He ain't my blood, but he's my, he's my boy.
00:26L-E-J!
00:27Hey, how are you, sir?
00:31I'm doing good, man. We're rolling down the road right now on a tour bus.
00:34Headed somewhere up in Ohio to play a show tonight.
00:37Somewhere up in Ohio. I love that. That is such a touring life.
00:40Like, hey, we're going to take you to another place. Just be ready to go because you are going to play tonight.
00:44Man, they ask me where I'm at tomorrow most of the time.
00:48I just say I don't know, which is a good problem to have.
00:52I'm just a go-getter, man. They tell me where she's at and I go get her.
00:55Well, hopefully on November 6th, you'll be waking up here in Tampa Bay to be part of our guitar pull.
01:02I'm so excited to have you on stage.
01:05We've already announced Priscilla Block, Jackson Dean, and Ernest.
01:10That sounds like a crew. Y'all might be in for some trouble.
01:13I tell you what, I've seen your writer and it looks like trouble.
01:16No, I'm just playing with you.
01:19No, man, I like all those cats.
01:22I've only met Ernest one time, but I've done quite a few shows with Priscilla and Jackson.
01:27That's a good group of people there.
01:29I mean, how can you not like a guy that saves Christmas? You know what I'm saying?
01:32You're right. That's right.
01:35Ernest P. World.
01:36No, and anytime I get to come to Florida, it's all right with me.
01:40Talking to L.V. Shane, your fourth QIK guitar pull artist right now.
01:44Well, listen, man, I want to ask you a question because you've got a song like My Boy, which is just an absolute love song.
01:50Does that just mean more to you when you play it acoustically and it's stripped down like that?
01:55Man, I just played that song so long that way.
01:58You know, it was probably five years that I was just traveling around playing that song every chance I got.
02:04I really enjoyed just stripping it down, just me, my acoustic guitar, and the crowd, especially now because you see so many people out there that have taken that song and made it their own.
02:15It's a cool, intimate moment in the show. I hope people appreciate it as much as I do.
02:19Yeah.
02:20Now, it's a good question to follow up. Has that boy become a man now?
02:24Well, he's became a teenager, and he is every bit of a teenager.
02:29All right.
02:30My mom always told me she hoped that I got paid back, and it is being delivered at the moment.
02:37Yeah, I feel like the same thing is going to happen to me one day as well.
02:40So we were just talking to Ernest, and I asked him this question, and I want to ask you too, is what is the hardest song for you to sing live?
02:47My kind of trouble. I didn't think about having to breathe when we were writing that song.
02:53And also, like, I want to move around a lot because that song rocked out pretty hard.
02:59And so about midway through it, we found a little section where I stopped, and the band just all group vocals is one line for me so I can have just a second to catch a big breath and make it through the last stretch of the song.
03:13Well, you probably know this, Ellie, but you are not the only musician that feels that way about a certain song.
03:19I mean, we talked to Kenny Chesney when he was doing his stadium tour here, and he said one of my favorite songs by him is You Save Me.
03:25And I asked him, what song is the hardest to sing live?
03:28He goes, You Save Me.
03:29I don't do it anymore because I was dreading it all day long because I was worried about it in my set.
03:35That's Kenny Chesney.
03:36He's like, I took it out of my set.
03:37Well, they do bebops around the stage all over the place.
03:42I mean, I moved around, but Kenny's everywhere, so I can't imagine being able to try to sing a song that you've got to take a bunch of breaths real quick in and you've got to act like M&M and sneak a nose breath in between words while you're singing at the same time.
03:57Well, we're going to give you plenty of time to breathe at the QIK Guitar Bowl on November 6th.
04:02LV, I know you're on the bus right now.
04:04We appreciate you calling in, taking some time.
04:06And when you get down here, we'll have some good Florida fun.
04:08November 6th at the QIK Guitar Bowl, ladies and gentlemen, LV Shane.
04:12Yeah!
04:14Hey, thank you guys.
04:16We appreciate you.
04:16Looking forward to seeing you here in a few months.
04:18All right, buddy.
04:18Be well.
04:19All right.
04:19Y'all do the same.
04:20God bless you.
04:21Take care.
