00:40Tell us a little bit about, you know, the moment you found out that you're going to be a big

00:56And my manager called me on the phone and just said, you know, there's an offer in.

01:13And you can't pass that up.

01:15So I never thought that I would get into the co-hosting or hosting thing.

01:19I kind of just was comfortable in singing.

01:34Has he been able to kind of help you get introduced to the hosting world a little bit?

01:41The first hosting thing that I did was actually for CMA Country Christmas last year with Carly
01:46Pierce.
01:47Right.
01:47So she was the first thing that I, and she's a good friend.
01:51So she was the first time, absolutely, that I got to kind of get into the hosting, reading
01:57off, you know, prompters and scripts and stuff in a real camera.
02:02So I'm a little broken into it now.
02:06Are you more nervous about the hosting part or the performing part?
02:09The performing part, believe it or not.
02:10Yeah.
02:11But that's what you do all the time.
02:12That's what you're so great at.
02:13I just can't.
02:14It's hard for me to get out of my brain sometimes.
02:17Maybe it's just because I'm in the room with a, with, you know, a bunch of people.

02:23And you know how good everybody's saying.
02:25So it's like, and then everybody's very tuned in per performance because artists are
02:28very, you know, they want to hear from other artists.
02:30So yeah, their performance, believe it or not.

02:38But is there any downtime at all when you're here in Vegas?

03:20It's kind of one of those things where I'm like, you can have a plan in your head, but

03:25Well, and it's the kind of thing too, we have a chance to meet some really cool people.

03:55Now we're leading up to that moment, but has there been another moment that's kind of
03:59starstruck you, whether it's this weekend or another time you've met a star, you're

04:06Probably about, I think it was like four or five years ago, I was on American Idol
04:10and Carrie Underwood was the mentor that year.
04:13And so when I met her, oh, it's on the internet.

04:20I just, I could not contain myself.
04:23I was just crying.
04:24And it's just crazy when you hear somebody on the radio and you know, you look up to
04:27them in a lot of ways, you don't even think they're like a human being until you
04:30see them in person.
04:31And it's like a whole, well, no, I mean, people say that you sound just like Carrie, which
04:37is good.
04:38You've got that Carrie attitude in some of your tracks, which is so special.
