00:00Good morning, welcome to your latest weather update from the Metaurus.
00:03For most of us today, it's going to be a mix of sunshine and April showers.
00:07But we really start the day off on a fairly chilly note,
00:10but any mist and fog around will quickly burn away,
00:13leaving us with plenty of sunshine during the first part of the morning,
00:17exceptions to far north of Scotland where we still have this band of cloud and rain
00:21and that will linger for much of the day.
00:24As the day goes on, cloud will bubble up, allowing some showers to develop
00:27and some of the showers will be on the heavy side, possibly even the odd rumble of thunder.
00:31And then later on, we start to see this next band of rain arriving into the west,
00:35especially for Northern Ireland, quite a wet end to the day here.
00:38But ahead of it, feeling much better than it did on Monday,
00:41could see highs quite widely reaching 15 to 16 degrees,
00:45possibly up to 17 or 18 degrees in a few spots.
00:49Into the evening now, as the band of rain will sweep across much of England and Wales too.
00:53Some heavy rain at times as it does transit across southern parts of the country.
00:58But for Scotland, actually avoids most of the rain remaining fairly clear here,
01:02with the exceptions of Sheckland and Orkney,
01:04where we continue with that band of cloud and patchy rain.
01:08So under the clear skies, a touch of frost as we start Wednesday morning,
01:11but further south, I think lows not much lower than around 7 to 10 degrees.
01:16But we do start Wednesday off on a fairly cloudy and damp note
01:19across much of England and Wales.
01:21But the main bulk of the rain will sink its way southwards
01:23as we go through the course of the morning.
01:25But it does leave behind quite a lot of clouds.
01:28So quite a dull afternoon to come across parts of England and Wales,
01:31and still the risk of some outbreaks of rain.
01:34But for Northern Ireland, a much better day to come here,
01:36some sunshine and just the odd shower.
01:38And for Scotland, generally, it's going to be a day of sunshine and scattered showers.
01:43Temperatures across the UK generally reaching in the mid-teens again,
01:46but maybe feeling fairly disappointing under the cloud across parts of England and Wales.
01:52But if you want more information about the weather where you are over the coming days,
01:55you can always check out our website or our app.
01:58But for me, for now, take care, and I'll see you again soon.
