00:00And as we prepare for the Holy Week, several government agencies have wrapped up their efforts to ensure the safety and security of the public this Holy Week.
00:09The Philippine National Police Highway Patrol Group has increased its deployment from 700 to over 800 personnel to monitor high-traffic areas such as bus terminals.
00:21The Manila International Airport Authority, or MIA, also assured the public of its preparedness to accommodate the anticipated surge in travelers.
00:31The agency has already recorded around 150,000 passengers, with a number expected to exceed 160 passengers in the coming days.
00:41Meanwhile, officials from the Department of Transportation and the Philippine Ports Authority conducted inspections at the Manila North Port, boarding gates, ticketing booths, and passenger facilities were among those checked to ensure operational readiness.
00:58For its part, the Philippine Coast Guard is targeting zero maritime casualties this Holy Week.
01:04Under Oplan Biyahing Ayos, the PCG is on heightened alert from April 13 to 20, deploying more than 17,000 personnel nationwide to conduct pre-departure inspections and monitor small vessels crossing nearby islands.
