00:19The Philippines welcomed delegates from across the globe for the 7th Global Ministerial Summit on Patient Safety,
00:25which officially opened at the Asian Development Bank Headquarters in Mandaluyong City.

00:40According to Health Secretary Ted Herbosa, the summit is not just a gathering of experts,
00:45but a platform to weave together knowledge, experience, and actionable solutions for global patient safety.
00:51Herbosa likened the healthcare system to a traditional Filipino banig or hand-woman mat,
00:57a symbol of strength, unity, and interconnection among healthcare sectors.
01:03It's not just about protocols within hospital walls.
01:07It extends far beyond reaching into our communities.
01:12The DOH continues to strengthen patient safety through national policies,
01:16the establishment of a national patient safety committee,
01:19and wider access to training for health workers to ensure safe, high-quality, and compassionate care for all Filipinos.
