00:00Sofa, you know, was placed for Suniya Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi and also for Malik Arjun Kargay.
00:07But, you know, as it appears that Malik Arjun Kargay was later seated on a chair,
00:14which BGP is saying is an insult to Dalit leader and also to the Congress President.
00:20However, Congress sources are telling us that the office of Mr. Kargay himself insisted that
00:27there should be a chair with firm back support, you know, for Malik Arjun Kargay and that's why that chair was placed.
00:36There was no ill intentions behind placing that chair as it is being alleged by the BGP leader.
00:41But obviously, given the fact that we all know that how BGP has been trying to create this narrative
00:46that Malik Arjun Kargay, you know, is not an independent Congress President,
00:53but somebody who actually works on the directions of a Gandhi family.
00:57And therefore, in the same context, this video has been tweeted by BGP leader Mr. Amit Malwey.
01:02In fact, you can expect that BGP was certainly trying to play this up,
01:07while at this point of time Congress leaders are trying to pin down this incident,
01:12trying to downplay this, saying that it was a special request that was made by Malik Arjun Kargay himself.
01:18You know, this is in fact something that the BGP has, you know, focused on time and again.
01:24This time it's got to do with the seating arrangements, you know, Rahul.
01:27But the fact is that the BGP always alleges that the kind of respect the party president deserves
01:33is not something Malik Arjun Kargay gets, given that he's not a Gandhi.
01:37This is an argument that the party has made forever.
01:39Absolutely, Sneha.
01:45This has been an argument, you know, put forward by BGP,
01:49that because Malik Arjun Kargay is not part of Gandhi family,
01:55therefore, you know, he has been not given due respect, you know, because of this fact.
02:01Although he has been made Congress President,
02:03but still, you know, at many instances, he was not given due respect.
02:10Sometimes, if you remember, when Priyanka Gandhi-Wadra had gone to Vyanar for filing her nominations,
02:15at that point of time also, Malik Arjun Kargay, as it was alleged by the BGP,
02:21Malik Arjun Kargay was, you know, made to stand outside the room.
02:25He was waiting at the doorstep of the room wherein Priyanka Gandhi-Wadra was filing her nomination.
02:30So, there has been, you know, several instances when BGP claimed that this clearly shows that
02:36Malik Arjun Kargay is not getting due respect,
02:39even though he is occupying the chair of Congress President,
02:43merely because he's not part of Nehru Gandhi family.
02:45And also, many times, BGP leader says that this also shows the petty mindset
02:49or anti-Dalit mindset of the Congress Party,
02:52which they reflect by their behavior towards Malik Arjun Kargay.
02:55All right, Rahul, getting in those details at this point in time,
03:01I'm going to leave it at that for the moment.
03:03Special Chair for Kargay at the Congress meeting says the Bharatiya Janata Party
03:07and not enough importance being accorded to the Congress President, says the BJP.
03:13Now, it's a big win for India.
03:16A 2611 terror mastermind, Tahur Rana, has been extradited from the US.
03:21He's underway as we speak. He's coming here, back to India.
03:26The mastermind behind the 2611 attacks is on a plane
03:29and is expected to land tomorrow morning after exhausting all his legal options in the US
03:34against his extradition.
03:37He will be accompanied by multi-agency India teams.
03:40India has accessed an inside scoop into the extradition.
03:43Two jails, one in Delhi, one in Mumbai, are being prepared to house the terrorist.
03:48Rana will be in the custody of the National Investigation Agency for the first few weeks
03:53and the entire operation has been monitored by the NSA, as we know, Home Ministry and the NIM.
03:59Tahur Rana is accused of masterminding the 2611 Mumbai terror attacks.
04:04He faces charges including attempting to wage war against the Indian government
04:08along with charges of murder, forgery and criminal conspiracy.
04:12India had formally requested Rana's extradition in December 2019
04:16and later filed a complaint for his provisional arrest on the 10th of June 2020 to facilitate this process.
04:23I see it as a very, very, very positive development.
04:29One, for justice in India of those who were killed on that horrific days.
04:38And second, it's a very good step, I think, in cooperation between America and India
04:42in terms of criminal elements with transnational crime, terrorism.
04:49So, it's a very good indication of the growing cooperation between the two countries on that.
04:54But first and foremost, it's that justice coming back.
04:57And with this, India will learn many things by interrogation of this gentleman.
05:05You know, it is a great victory that we have managed to get the main preparator of a Mumbai attack.
05:12And Tahur Rana is a person who has played a main role in providing a logistics quote in India.
05:19He's the one who has carried out, reacted to the various locations,
05:23and then also able to brief David Hidley.
05:27So, he wants to come to India, you know, all dots will be connected.
05:31So far, the Pakistan has been always saying that ISI was never linked with the Mumbai attack.
05:38It was only the lone state actor.
05:40But once he comes here, he gives concession, he shows on the area as to how directives were conducted,
05:47how the logistics quote was provided, then everything will become a key step here.
05:51Our case will become much, much stronger.
05:53We will able to expose Pakistan ISI more than anything else,
05:57and get direct involvement in Mumbai attack.
06:00Now, that's the main, main issue.
06:02As far as Tahur Rana is concerned, you will find that the law will take its own time,
06:09no doubt about it.
06:10But certainly, we have sent a message across to the world, as well as in Pakistan.
06:15Anyone who has committed a serious crime in India, let him hide anywhere, India will get it back.
06:21Because we have fought it like anything.
06:23Remember that ISI spent a billion of dollars there in the US to ensure that he should not come back.
06:29They have tried their back.
06:31But ultimately, the truth has prevailed.
06:33He has to come back.
06:34I think this is now almost confirming that Pakistan has been using terrorism as an instrument of state policy.
06:41There is no denying the fact.
06:43Had it not been for Hedley telling us what exactly this ex-army officer Rana has been doing all along,
06:50and one man who is actually responsible.
06:53These are the brains, the think tanks who were there in India,
06:57wrecking the place, ensuring how it is to be done, communicating with each other.
07:01And then, of course, Kassab is the man who Raley and his team executed,
07:05killing over 180 people in Mumbai.
07:07So this is something that we need to do.
07:09And look at the kind of plea that he was taking,
07:12that if he is sent to India, he'll be tortured.
07:14These are the characters who need to be sent long back.
07:17The very fact that, of course, I'm glad justice prevailed.
07:20People realize that this is the man who was the brain.
07:23And an ex-army officer, supported by Pakistan,
07:27Hedley's friend, they're all classmates,
07:29and this is what they do in Mumbai.
07:31What does that show?
07:32That Pakistan is deeply involved, and that Pakistan gets exposed.
07:36And once Rana comes over here, we will know a lot of what and how they've been planning about,
07:41and how they've been doing about,
07:42how people migrate from Pakistan to Canada to America,
07:45and do all these kind of nonsense.
07:52More news coming in.
07:53Tahavud Rana brought to India in a special plane.
07:56NSA, Ajit Doval monitors Tahavud's extradition.
08:00Plane with Rana to halt at an undisclosed location.
08:03Rana being brought to India in a special plane to be produced
08:05before the NIA court for custody tomorrow.
08:08A special plane of India has taken off from the U.S.
08:11with 2611 co-conspirator Rana for India.
08:15Under watch of multiple agencies,
08:17is supposed to reach India by late evening today.
08:20Or latest by early morning tomorrow,
08:22is what our sources are indicating.
08:24The plane will also take a halt in between at an undisclosed location on its way back.
08:29Rana will be produced first before an NIA court tomorrow
08:32for custody and interrogation by international agencies concerned.
08:37The entire operation is being monitored by the NSA,
08:40and the agencies concerned.
08:422611 Mumbai terror attack mastermind Rana is going to be brought to India,
08:47possibly late night or early morning tomorrow.
08:51I'm going straight across to Ashutosh Mishra.
08:53Getting in more details joins us from the NIA office.
08:56Ashutosh, what else are you picking up?
08:58As far as his entire procedure is concerned,
09:00what's going to happen once he lands in the country?
09:03Where is he going to be taken?
09:04I know a lot of it, you know, is in a shroud of secrecy, though.
09:09But what is the information that you have as of now?
09:16Well, the magnitude of this achievement by the Indian authorities
09:20after one and a half decades, more than one and a half decades,
09:22extradition of Tahapur Rana.
09:24This Saktis, and looking at his role that he played critically,
09:29there could be also the secrecy.
09:31That's why exactly being maintained and looking at the safety of Tahapur Rana
09:35and the entire investigation process.
09:37Because once he is in custody of the Indian authorities,
09:39then the different agencies, including the RAW, the NIA, the IB,
09:43all these agencies will question him.
09:45The interrogation will go further.
09:47Right behind is the NIA headquarter.
09:48Of course, they have a safe cell, safe houses.
09:51There are also speculations that the authorities have asked Tihal and Yerwada Jail
09:57and the Mumbai Arthur Road Jail to be fully prepared.
09:59And remember, let me tell you one example,
10:01and that I personally witnessed in 2016.
10:04It was the arrest of Chhota Rajan, the underworld dawn in Indonesia,
10:09the Bali airport when he was traveling.
10:11He was detained.
10:12The information that was sent to be wanted by Interpol,
10:14the information was given to the Indian agencies.
10:15All these Indian agencies, the diplomatic,
10:18every, all these systems that reached Indonesia.
10:21In fact, we were able to go and see Chhota Rajan.
10:23Then all around, we were able to question him, ask questions to him.
10:27We had such a close access.
10:28Even in the lockup, we used to sit right outside the lockup of Chhota Rajan.
10:32But the moment he was brought to India in a cover at Delhi airport,
10:36no one was able to see how Chhota Rajan looks like.
10:39That was the kind of secrecy that was maintained by the Indian authorities
10:42and also the protection cover that was maintained.
10:45Now, here, compared to Chhota Rajan, Tahabur Rana is one of the most wanted
10:49for Indian authorities, will be brought in such a cover security.
10:53So, potentially, it will be very difficult to speculate
10:55or even the sources would maintain secrecy looking at the kind of situation
11:00that it is Tahabur Rana's tradition, the kind of questioning that is required.
11:04So, yes, as far as keeping him at the safe locations are concerned,
11:07that will be primary concern of these agencies.
11:10There will be, of course, since all this information will be classified,
11:13the secrecy will be maintained.
11:15But if we see the kind of arrangement that is being, of course,
11:18NIA has quite potential and a very, you know, one of the most powerful agency
11:22has this kind of safe houses to protect, you know, its accused
11:27and also the kind of arrangements required to question one of the terrorists,
11:32the most wanted terrorists like Tahabur Rana.
11:34So, it will be very difficult to anticipate.
11:36Of course, once the extradition process has been completed,
11:39the formalities have been completed, as and when he is handed over,
11:42probably there will be information from the U.S. side,
11:46U.S. media would be reporting to it.
11:48So, we will have at least some information when and as and when he is getting deported.
11:52Once he reaches to India, even remember when he needs to be produced
11:56to the judicial authorities, like we have seen in the case of Chhota Rajan,
12:00he was not able to take it to court,
12:01but it will be all done through the virtual court proceedings
12:05with the NIA court, specific designated NIA court.
12:09So, it is very likely that he will have a public exposure.
12:12He will be brought to public and it will be maintained totally, totally in a secret manner.
12:16Thank you for the moment, Ashutosh, getting us up to speed with those details
12:22as far as the extradition of Tahabur Rana to India is concerned,
12:26landing today or tomorrow.
12:28And there is going to be strict protocol that is going to be followed
12:30as far as the high-profile prisoner here is concerned.
12:42More news coming in at this point in time.
12:45MRBI's Monetary Policy Committee announces a repo rate cut by 25 BPS,
12:51which means the new repo rate stands at 6% is what we are learning.
12:59Well, it's a slash on repo rate and it now stands at 6%.
13:04This has been announced by the Reserve Bank.
13:07It's a big development.
13:08This is 25 basis points.
13:10This is announced and which clearly means that EMIs essentially for home loans
13:18will be coming down in a big way.
13:21I'm going to go straight across to Sakshi for more.
13:27Sakshi, this was but expected.
13:30Loan borrowers now looking forward to lower EMIs.
13:33Just tell us, how will it translate for an average person who has taken a loan?
13:37First, let's get to understand what has happened.
13:41The repo rate is the rate at which the RBI lends to banks.
13:45Now, what happens is that this will encourage borrowing.
13:48More banks will be looking at lower interest rates as a key point
13:52to probably borrow more money from the RBI.
13:54And therefore, that will also encourage them to further reduce the lending rates
13:59for people like you and I.
14:00Whenever we go to banks and we look at borrowing from the banks,
14:05they are at a better leverage to give us or pass on this reduced rate cut for them
14:09to the consumers.
14:10So, that is likely to happen now because this is for the second time in a row
14:14that the RBI has now gone ahead by slashing that 25 basis points on the repo rate.
14:20This is the first fiscal policy, monetary policy for the fiscal year 2026.
14:25And this was of extreme importance to see.
14:27It was largely being expected.
14:29Most of the economists had already penciled it out.
14:32This has been a unanimous decision by all the six members of the Monetary Policy Committee.
14:36And they have also changed the stance from neutral to accommodative
14:40that actually hints that more easing of policy could be coming in
14:44if the situations warrant as well.
14:46The second time in a row, so we actually know in the last two months or
14:50we have actually seen a 50 basis points of a reduction on the repo rate.
14:54So, that's good news coming in.
14:55Remember, this was also of extreme importance to see because now inflation is at a more comfortable
15:01zone that we had been seeing over the last six, eight months or last few years as well.
15:06It's now come below 4% mark, which is a more comfortable zone for the RBI.
15:10And that's what the Governor, Mr. Sanjay Malhotra, has already indicated as well.
15:14He's also saying that at this point in time, what is of more importance is to see how the external
15:20environment is going to be playing out.
15:22He did talk about tariffs.
15:24He said FI26 has started on an anxious note.
15:27He is keeping an eye out on what is happening on the external developments.
15:30What will happen to tariffs?
15:32Remember, what will happen as the future course of RBI will depend on what will be the inflationary
15:39impact of Trump's tariffs trade war.
15:42In case there is a heightened concern on worldwide inflation, again, there have to be seen as
15:48to how RBI will move forward with their decisions on the rate front going forward from here as
15:54well.
15:54Remember, he's already pointed out the external environment is very, very volatile at this
15:59point in time.
16:00Has exacerbated uncertainties is the word that he used in the initial comments as well.
16:06Remember, of course, the speech is still on.
16:09We'll also get to see what else he has to say on the growth front at this point in time.
16:14Remember, we have been seeing Goldman Sachs and brokerage houses, worldwide agencies already
16:21revisiting their own expectations of global economy growth as well as growth for Indian economy
16:27as well on a lower trajectory looking at what is happening worldwide.
16:31So, all of those comments will also be coming in and we will keep you posted on all of that.
16:35All right, Sakshi, I'm going to leave it at that.
16:38Sakshi getting us up to speed with those details and explaining to us what this really means
16:43amid global wars also which are ongoing as far as the repo rate and the slashing of it
16:49is concerned.
16:52Sakshi continues to be with us.
16:54The RBI cutting the repo rate by 25 basis points.
16:57At the end of the day, some relief as far as home, those who have taken home loans are concerned.
17:03EMIs would be definitely, in fact, getting cheaper is what Sakshi is telling us.
17:09Repo rate, like Sakshi was telling us, is the rate at which the RBI lends to banks.
17:14We have details of the RBI alert over the ongoing trade wars as well.
17:21Right now, we're talking about some relief as far as the repo rate here is concerned with
17:27the central bank cutting repo rate by 25 basis points, so 6% home loans likely to get cheaper.
17:33So, some cheer amid all the gloom that we've been seeing and the uncertainty, if not so much the glooms.
17:39Sakshi.
17:40Absolutely, Sneha.
17:41So, just like how I pointed out, RBI governor did say that the RBI will be on alert to look
17:49at what is happening worldwide on the tariff board.
17:52Remember, today at 9.30 a.m. IST is when the tariffs that were announced on April 2nd
17:59have gone on course on 180 countries, including on India.
18:03The 26% tariff that was announced by U.S. President Donald Trump has gone into effect as well.
18:10Of course, during all these last couple of days, U.S. President and the White House have
18:15already initiated, you know, released a statement saying that 70 countries have approached them
18:21on negotiations, on some kind of a talk, on tariffs as well.
18:25We are given to understand that even India has taken a negotiatory approach, whereas there
18:31are some nations like China, which have taken a retaliatory approach.
18:35Looking at that, U.S. President has again talked about additional 50% kind of tariffs on China,
18:42which actually makes it accumulative 104% as well.
18:45Now, this is when two large economies get at loggerheads on the tariff front.
18:50Looking at this RBI governor, Sanjay Malhotra has said that the RBI is on alert.
18:55We will be watching out for as the situation evolves around tariffs.
18:59And if it warrants any more action from the central bank, that's where they will be looking
19:04at when is the appropriate time to look at some more actions at this point in time.
19:08Remember, in case there are any impact that we can expect on inflation and on growth, we
19:14will have to see what the RBI really does forward from here on.
19:18Right now, the inflation situation is under control and which is why they felt it right to cut the
19:24interest rates.
19:25Cutting of interest rates will actually mean that the banks will have more leeway to give
19:29the borrowers a little more easing on the interest rates or the lending rates at this point in time.
19:35This will ensure more people from us will be able to borrow more money either for home loans
19:41or for auto loans at this point in time.
19:44There's also an added on Bonanza.
19:45Let me remind all our viewers of India today that 1st April onwards, the budget announcements
19:50have also kicked in.
19:51The budget announcements were made by way of tax cuts.
19:54A huge tax bonanza was introduced and people with the incomes of less than 12.75 lakhs have
20:01to beg no tax now.
20:03So that added on with interest rate cuts will actually probably prompt more people to go
20:08ahead and borrow more money for car loans, for home loans as well.
20:14So that's something that we will keep an eye out on today and tomorrow.
20:16There could be some announcements from the banks.
20:19We are looking at SBI to announce first.
20:22Any kind of slashing of the lending rate will definitely ensure that you pay lesser EMI from
20:28something that you had been paying for.
20:30Remember, we had been holding on to high rate interests for the last four to five years.
20:35That situation is slowly and gradually changing.
20:37At least in the last two months, or we've already seen twice, 25 basis points each, cumulatively
20:42of 50 basis points of a slashing on the repo rate front.
20:46That's right.
20:47Sakshi, be with us.
20:48The thing here is that it's a mixed bag today because there is more news coming in.
20:52It's got to do with India's GDP forecast made by the RBI.
20:56The central bank talks about our GDP forecast for financial year 2026 to 6.5 percent.
21:04Our earlier GDP forecast was 6.7 percent.
21:08RBI here, Sakshi, obviously seeing marginal impact of Trump tariffs.
21:14I think this is fairly conservative.
21:16I'll come back to you, Sakshi, in a moment from now.
21:18Listen in to the RBI, Governor first.
21:22After a detailed assessment of the evolving macroeconomic and financial conditions and outlook,
21:29the MPC voted unanimously to reduce the policy repo rate by 25 basis points to 6 percent with
21:40immediate effect.
21:42Consequently, the standing deposit facility, the SDF rate under the liquidity adjustment
21:48facility, shall stand adjusted to 5.75 percent.
21:52And the marginal standing facility rate or the MSF rate and the bank rate, shall stand adjusted
22:00to 6.25 percent.
22:02More news in trade tariff and dancing.
22:13Trump slams China currency and then dances.
22:17Trump dances.
22:18World rushes to torch amid global tariff meltdown and recession fears.
22:23Trump asserts my way or tariff away.
22:27Which is now from Washington, D.C., where you can see that the U.S. president is absolutely
22:34undeterred when it comes to panic in the markets.
22:38He's always been reiterating that this is the bitter medicine that we all need.
22:44Amid the global tariff meltdown and fears of recession, Trump dances.
22:48It seems to be fairly stress-free when it comes to how the markets are responding.
22:55Take a look at these pictures coming in with the United States president absolutely undeterred.
23:06Shashank is with us for the very latest on that Shashank is either playing golf or he's dancing.
23:34I think the message is loud and clear.
23:37This is but normal.
23:38This is expected.
23:40And there is no reason to panic, essentially, isn't it?
23:44Well, you know, that does seem to be the message at this point in time, Sneha.
23:46But if that's the message, I don't think that global markets really or even people in the United States
23:52are getting the message at this point in time.
23:55Really, you know, there was some rallying across the global economy after the initial wave of tariffs.
24:00But now what we've seen, of course, is Donald Trump has doubled down on his tariffs on China.
24:05He's also pushing for tariffs on pharmaceutical exports into the United States, which could impact India as well.
24:11Remember, that was supposed to be part of the silver linings in the mixed bag for India.
24:15So, yes, Donald Trump definitely trying to project an air of normalcy that this was to be expected.
24:20He's made certain remarks about that as well, that countries want to do trade deals with America.
24:24But at the same time, it doesn't seem like global markets are ready to hear the message he has at this point in time on tariffs.
24:30Right.
24:31You know, but unprecedented tariffs imposed, isn't it?
24:34And as far as China is concerned, it's clearly, you know, an all-out war between both the countries, isn't it?
24:41Shashank?
24:42No, absolutely.
24:43I think a 104% tariff is, you know, there's no other way, I'll call it a full-blown trade war.
24:49This goes far beyond what he did in his first term.
24:52It's something that has raised a lot of concerns.
24:54We've also heard, not just on China, in fact, if it is targeted at China, some people will still understand.
24:59But he's also now looking to tariff pharmaceutical imports into the United States, which could, of course, impact Indian industry.
25:04That was something that India was happy to have exempted.
25:06But now, of course, you have this problem.
25:08And also, you know, he's put out a statement very recently just saying that, look, countries are begging me for a trade deal.
25:12They want to do a deal with me.
25:14So, you know, India's position of taking a negotiatory approach, of sitting down with Donald Trump and saying, let's negotiate this in a reasonable, rational fashion.
25:20Trump was, in fact, actively walking countries that are coming to him.
25:24And in his words, begging him for a trade deal.
25:27So, it is definitely a worrying picture at this point in time.
25:30It really does seem at this point that we are headed in some ways for a trade war.
25:33All right, but he is busy dancing or playing golf, as you can see in these pictures.
25:37Shashank, I'm just coming back to you in a moment from now.
25:40Trump versus China is playing out.
25:42It's a tariff war which is only escalating.
25:45The United States of America has announced a stunning 104% tariff on Chinese imports.
25:51The new tariff on Beijing will come into effect from 9th of April itself.
25:56This comes just a day after China slapped 34% tariffs on the U.S., upping the ante against the Xi Jinping administration.
26:05Trump called China's retaliation a mistake and says it's America's turn to rip China off.
26:11The White House says that China is seeking for trade deal, but they've asked them to reduce tariff for trade deal talks.
26:18On Tuesday, China firmly opposed U.S. tariffs and vowed to retaliate to what they call economic blackmail.
26:26China asserted that they will safeguard their own interests first and won't be intimidated by Trump.
26:33This is bigger than any deal.
26:36You guys, some of you work for companies.
26:37Your companies are peanuts.
26:38I don't care how big they are.
26:40This is the largest transaction in the history of our country.
26:44And don't let some of these politicians go around saying, you know, because I'm telling you, these countries are calling us up, kissing my a*****.
26:52They are dying to make a deal.
26:55Please, please, sir, make a deal.
26:57I'll do anything.
26:58I'll do anything, sir.
27:00And then I'll see some rebel Republican, you know, some guy that wants to grandstand, say, I think that Congress should take over negotiations.
27:08Let me tell you, you don't negotiate like I negotiate.
27:11Congress takes over negotiating, sell America fast because you're going to go busted.
27:18I'm proud to be the president for the workers, not the outsourcers.
27:22The president who stands up for Main Street, not Wall Street, who protects the middle class, not the political class, and who defends America, not trade cheaters all over the globe.
27:33They're trade cheaters.
27:34They cheated on us.
27:36They cheated with tariffs on us.
27:37They stole our money.
27:40They stole our jobs.
27:41I just spoke to the president about this, and he believes that China wants to make a deal with the United States.
27:46He believes China has to make a deal with the United States.
27:49It was a mistake for China to retaliate.
27:52The president, when America is punched, he punches back harder.
27:55That's why there will be 104 percent tariffs going into effect on China tonight at midnight.
28:01But the president believes that Xi and China want to make a deal.
28:05They just don't know how to get that started.
28:06And the president also wanted me to tell all of you that if China reaches out to make a deal, he'll be incredibly gracious, but he's going to do what's best for the American people.
28:14The president's message has been simple and consistent from the beginning.
28:18To countries around the world, bring us your best offers, and he will listen.
28:22Deals will only be made if they benefit American workers and address our nation's crippling trade deficits.
28:30America does not need other countries as much as other countries need us.
28:33And President Trump knows this.
28:35He's going to use the leverage of our markets and our country to the advantage of the people he was sworn in to represent.
28:42Shashank is with us.
28:44Shashank, this kind of a response from the U.S., you know, tough talk really expected, given that China is actually the only country practically taking the U.S. head on as far as the trade wars are concerned.
28:57The others are either, you know, kind of waiting and watching the situation, perhaps hoping for the storm to just pass by or, you know, or have given in, isn't it?
29:08Absolutely. I think China is taking this opportunity to basically tell the world that, look, we are a country that you can trust and you can rely on, that we are open to doing trade and business with you.
29:18Look at the Americans. The Americans are tariffing you.
29:20China is actually cutting tariffs on some of the poorest countries in the world, giving them free access to the Chinese economy.
29:26What they're trying to say is that, look, if you like economic globalization, if you like doing trade, work with us.
29:31We want to work with you. Look at the Americans. They're being unpredictable.
29:33Look at Donald Trump. Look at how he's treating you.
29:35So China has taken this opportunity to also indulge in some tough talk because they want to position themselves as the alternative to America at this point in time.
29:44And it does seem that some countries are willing to hear their message.
29:47But yes, countries that are taking a wait and watch approach are looking to negotiate.
29:51For example, like India, we'll also have to look at what Donald Trump has done in the days after he announced his first tariffs.
29:57He's going to tariff Indian pharmaceutical products. We're seeing that pharma stocks are down today.
30:00We're also hearing about how he's speaking about countries that are choosing to negotiate with him, talking about them in a way that it does, in fact, seem a little derogatory.
30:09So definitely some warning signs here in terms of how India is going to deal with the Trump administration.
30:14Because, again, as this White House spokesperson said, America at this point thinks that other countries, including India, need America more than America needs them.
30:22And that is a concerning point.
30:24Shashank getting in those details at this point in time. Be with us.
30:28We're staying with all of these developments vis-a-vis the tariff wars which have been ongoing.
30:33Elon Musk and tariff czar Navarro are locked in a fight over the latter's comments on Tesla.
30:39Listen in to this controversy and to the reaction of the White House on the same.
30:44Follow-up. There's been some public sparring between Elon Musk and the president's trade advisor, Peter Navarro, on some of these tariffs.
30:54Musk actually referred to Navarro today as being, quote, dumber than a sack of bricks.
30:59Are you one of ours, the administration, the president, all concerned that this is maybe impacting the public's understanding of these tariffs?
31:05It might be messing with the message on it?
31:07No, look, these are obviously two individuals who have very different views on trade and on tariffs.
31:14Boys will be boys, and we will let their public sparring continue.
31:18And you guys should all be very grateful that we have the most transparent administration in history.
31:22And I think it also speaks to the president's willingness to hear from all sides,
31:27that he has people at the highest levels of this government in this White House
31:30who have very diverse opinions on very diverse issues,
31:34but the president takes all opinions in mind, and then he makes the best decision
31:37based on the best interests of the American public.
31:40More news coming in.
31:47This is Undressed in Bangladesh once again.
31:50Anti-Israel protesters in a rampage.
31:53KFC, Domino's and Bata outlets have been vandalized.
31:5756 arrested for vandalism in Bangladesh,
32:00a head of International Investment Summit.
32:02Absolute mayhem reported on the streets of Bangladesh.
32:06Take a look at those pictures.
32:07Violence in the capital of Dhaka, Kulmna, Chathagraam, Bangladesh on the boil over pro-Palestine stuff
32:15is what we are reporting on at this point in time.
32:18Pictures are from Bangladesh, where there is absolute mayhem and unrest.
32:25KFC and Domino's have been targeted.
32:28This, ahead of the Investment Summit in Bangladesh,
32:33Ashutosh has got more details.
32:35Ashutosh, absolute mayhem.
32:37This has got to do with opposition for the investment summit there.
32:41What more can you tell us about what's going on
32:43and how do things look like at this point in time?
32:49Organizations like Jamaat and several other radical elements
32:51had given a call on Monday to protest against Israel's offensive unfolding
32:56in Gaza against the Palestinian people.
32:58And that turned out into literally a vandalism
33:01because there was a call to boycott the Israeli products,
33:05made in Israeli products.
33:07But all of a sudden, the mob that started attacking vandalism
33:10on the KFC store, the chicken food outlets,
33:14and then the mob vandalized the Bata shoe store
33:17and several other such multinational companies, international companies
33:20all came under attack.
33:21It happened in Chittagong.
33:22It happened in Dhaka.
33:23It happened in the northern part, mostly the northern Bangladesh part.
33:27So, at a lot of these places, when it happened,
33:29clearly when the important meetings are happening in Bangladesh
33:32and clearly that also came under criticism,
33:34there were pressure on the Dr. Yunus administration.
33:37And so far as we speak, 72 people have been arrested.
33:40Total 10 FIRs have been filed.
33:42And as we speak, the Bangladesh police and agencies
33:45are also planning to file more and more FIRs
33:47and more arrests will take place.
33:49But that also raises question on the law and order situation,
33:52on the entire situation in Bangladesh,
33:55that how the control, the administration is losing control
33:58on the radical elements who are free to do anything.
34:01Imagine there is a protest happening.
34:02The call is given for protest, which is the right.
34:05Anyone can hold a protest against Israel,
34:07or for that matter, anyone.
34:08But eventually, the protest turning out to be a violent
34:11and vandalism against the multi-stores.
34:13There are people working with it.
34:15And these are the recognized, the well-known doing outlets.
34:18And that's also a source of investment
34:20that is coming to your country.
34:21But the way Bangladesh is the radical elements
34:23have targeted, the KFC food storage,
34:26the restaurants, the pata shoe stores,
34:29several multinational brand stores,
34:31that is also now raising question.
34:33And Dr. Yunus himself, the chief advisor
34:35from social media, handles,
34:37informations are being shared constantly.
34:39And so far, at least three to four such posts
34:42have been made that how Bangladesh is pulling,
34:43police is cracking down.
34:45And that also reflects that there is now a pressure
34:47on the new administration
34:49and entire Bangladesh authority
34:50that under your nose, the radicals are so free.
34:53The vandalism just so far, we have seen months ago,
34:55it was all against a brutal attack on the minority.
34:59And now the radicals are so free
35:01that they are now targeting the international investment,
35:03the brand stores in the cities like Dhaka and Chittagong.
35:08Chitosh, look at this.
35:10This is the investment summit that we are looking at.
35:12I mean, for any potential investor,
35:14stability is going to be on top of the priority list,
35:18isn't it?
35:18And that exactly is missing in this country.
35:21The government has egg on its face.
35:23You rightly use the word stability.
35:29What Bangladesh is missing at the moment is stability.
35:32In fact, Dr. Yunus at multiple locations,
35:34at multiple platforms have said,
35:35by end of 2025, there will be elections
35:37and then there will be a democratically elected government.
35:41But even before that,
35:42since the internal administration
35:43is now under the nose of Dr. Yunus,
35:46who is the head of chief advisor of the government,
35:48there is police, there are paramilitary forces,
35:50everything that a country requires
35:52to maintain law and order
35:53and to bring the situation normal
35:55is available with Bangladesh.
35:56But the way it looks like uncertainty,
35:59only in a situation like uncertainty,
36:01when the authorities are clueless,
36:02law and order enforcement agencies are clueless,
36:05and even the power center is clueless
36:07how to deal with the radical elements,
36:09because ultimately,
36:10the cause was to protest against Israel.
36:12It was in support of Palestine and Gaza,
36:14and that turning out into a vandalism
36:16where you have going to hold Investor Summit
36:18and subsequently,
36:20your all foreign investors are being targeted,
36:22their investments are not safe.
36:24And that explains and defines
36:25the uncertainty and the situation in Bangladesh.
36:29That's right.
36:30Ashutosh getting in those details
36:31as far as the crisis,
36:33the unrest in Bangladesh is concerned.
36:35I'm going to thank you, Ashutosh,
36:36for getting us up to speed
36:38with those details at this point in time.
36:44News back home,
36:46a fresh BJP versus TMC showdown
36:49over a fish market in the capital,
36:51in Delhi, certainly.
36:53In this video released by TMC MP,
36:54Mawa Maitra,
36:55a group of men can be seen
36:57haggling with fish sellers
36:58just outside the famous Kali Temple
37:00in Delhi's Chitranjan Park,
37:02which is the CR Park area.
37:04The Trinamul Congress MP
37:05claimed it was BJP goons
37:07who threatened fish sellers
37:08and says it's never happened
37:10in the last 60 years.
37:12But BJP, Delhi BJP,
37:14Virendra Sashdeva refuted the charge
37:16claiming the video appears
37:17to be doctored
37:17by Mahua Maitra
37:19for vested interest.
37:21The BJP denied
37:22any threat to fish sellers
37:23and has demanded
37:24police action
37:24against the accused.

42:06what was the place that we had to do for?
42:08The temple was not required,
42:09such as the one we had,
42:11which we had,
42:12the real thing was,
42:13the real thing was.
42:14Yes,
42:15the one we had was,
42:16because they were made by the people who made it,
42:18and after the people who made it,
42:20it was a viral thing.
42:21Now,
42:22we can see this,
42:23the whole thing was done,
42:25what is the motive?
42:27What is the motive?
42:28Now,
42:29all of these things was done,
42:30the past 50-55-60 years ago,
42:32we had no idea,
42:33no idea,
42:34Thank you very much.
43:04they will be part of Hanuman Chalisa.
43:06So now we have to see what happens in this whole situation.
43:08What happens in this whole situation?
43:09Although BJP's entire power has been said
43:12that it is not a matter of any way.
43:15There is no matter where the whole matter is.
43:17There is no matter where the whole situation is.
43:18And no matter where the whole situation is, there is no matter where the whole situation is.
43:22Thank you for joining us.
43:23Himanshu getting us a complete picture of what's happening
43:25as far as that back-and-forth between the BJP and the TMC
43:29over the popular Chitranjan Park market in Delhi is concerned.
43:33That was a video tweeted by Mahua Maitra where she says,
43:36BJP is threatening the fish sellers there.
43:39BJP is denying these allegations.
43:42And more politics now.
43:43This has got to do with the mass sacking of teachers in Bengal
43:47where the TMC is set to hold a protest in Kolkata
43:50over the firing over 25,000 teachers after the court's ruling.
43:55TMC has said teachers have lost their jobs
43:57because of a conspiracy by the BJP and CPIM.
44:00After today's protest, TMC will also organize protests across wards and districts.
44:06Minister Shukanto Majumdar has hit out at the TMC
44:09accusing it of corruption and destroying evidence
44:12like OMR sheets to conceal the crime.
44:15Meanwhile, LOP.
44:17In Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi has written to President Draupadi Murmu
44:22seeking her intervention over the mass firings.
44:25Gandhi said that untainted teachers have also been fired.
44:28The perpetrators must be brought to justice.
44:31I'm going straight across to Anupam for more details on that story.
44:37Anupam, Dheeri has made an outrage to the teachers there,
44:40but politics continues and snowballs rather.
44:43Just tell us what looks like the way forward.
44:46What does the state government now intend to do?
44:48Because if they're going to reinstate the teachers,
44:50it will be directly against the orders of the Apex Court.
44:54Well, you know that a political showdown has started
44:59between BJP and TNC over the issue.
45:01And today, the Kremlin Congress is organizing a rally against the order.
45:07And in fact, they are bringing out this rally,
45:12alleging BJP is behind all these things.
45:15And on the other hand, BJP will also be holding a Dharna Pradarshan
45:20at Gandhi Murthy in Kolkata.
45:24So both parties are alleging each other for the fallout.
45:28And right now, the way forward is very difficult to tell.
45:35But I can tell you that according to Mamata government,
45:37Mamata Banerjee had already said that we will sort out the problem.
45:41We will do something for the jobless teachers.
45:43So she has assured teachers that she will do something.
45:47But what exactly she will do has not been revealed yet.
45:51So we are waiting what TNC government will do
45:55about these around 26,000 teachers who have lost their job
46:00by the direction of the Supreme Court.
46:02On the other hand, BJP and in fact,
46:05the left front is also attacking Tsunamul Congress for this fiasco.
46:10And they are blaming Tsunamul Congress government
46:13for the job to have been lost by a loss of around 26,000 teachers.
46:22All right.
46:23I'm going to thank you, Anupam.
46:24Getting asked those details as far as the crisis
46:26over the sacking of teachers by the Supreme Court there is concerned.
46:30And we are staying with Bengal where the anti-Wafville protesters turned violent.
46:35In Murshidabad there, tensions spread in Bengal's Murshidabad
46:38as protesters were demonstrating against the Wafville.
46:42A clash broke out between the protesters and the cops.
46:45The clash began when cops tried to remove the roadblock there.
46:48Agitated protesters hurled stones at the cops,
46:51burned police vehicles.
46:53In return, the cops fired tear gas and used Lati charge on the protesters.
46:57Some of them raised anti-constitution slogans.
47:01Protesters were seen saying they do not accept the constitution.
47:04This led to an attack by the BJP and the Mamata government.
47:07The party claims Mamata is unable to control the Islamic mob, quote-unquote.
47:13They say that Mamata should resign,
47:14accusing her of appeasing Muslims for words.
47:18Also claiming that Bengal is headed towards becoming another Bangladesh.
47:21That is what they say.

48:41This time, the parliament will be coming.
48:44The parliament will be coming to the parliament.
48:45The parliament will be coming to the parliament.
48:47Why do they come to the parliament?
48:48Why do they come to the parliament?
48:51Mega political war breaks out over Rahul Gandhi's samvidhan remark.
48:55A political slough fest ensued after Congress leader Gandhi said that the constitution was thousands of years old.
49:01While the BJP on Tuesday slammed the Congress leader for always leaving the country shocked and speechless with his abundance knowledge.
49:08Quote unquote, the Saffron party went all guns blazing against Gandhi, alleged he's not a serious politician, accusing the Congress of murdering democracy.
49:18And statements like this, a disgraceful dismissal of Baba Sahib, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's legacy.
49:24On Monday, while speaking in Patna, Rahul Gandhi said that people tell him the constitution was written in 1947, but the constitution is thousands of years old.
49:33He lashed out at the BJP-led government at the center for undermining constitutional values.
49:40Mr. Rahul Gandhi has now got addicted to making a joke of himself on daily basis.
49:49Mr. Rahul Gandhi's own autobiography or biography will be called failure to launch.
49:55Under Rahul Gandhi's leadership, Congress has lost more than 55 elections, more than 400 Congress leaders have left in the Congress, but still Rahul Gandhi refuses to get launched.
50:06I think the book, Failure to Launch by Rahul Gandhi will be circulated on public schools and universities to teach kids how to accept responsibility and how not to be like Rahul Gandhi.
50:21Mr. Rahul Gandhi's political program on the right.
50:51The Congress party has killed the constitution, killed democracy.
51:21By amending several times, by imposing emergency, by dismissing the government. And these people speak about the constitution. If Rahul Gandhiji writes a book on the lines of Mahatma Gandhiji's book, My Experiment with Truth, then he must be naming it My Experiment as a Clone in Indian Politics. I think that should be the name he should be given.
51:48Such type of cheap criticism, cheap politics, I think Congress leaders should advise him to train him on how to speak and what to speak in such meetings.
51:58I don't even know whether Mr. Rahul Gandhi is a serious politician at all. Some people achieve positions only by their surname.
52:10And under his leadership, I can only see the decline of the Congress party. It is truly a matter of deep concern that the principal opposition party has at its leadership, has as its chief, a non-serious politician.
