00:14This is what happened to the relatives of the victims of extrajudicial killing during the War on Drugs

00:20conducted by President Rodrigo Duterte.

00:22They were accepted by the so-called bashing online

00:26after the arrest of the International Criminal Court, or ICC, of the former president.

00:31The bashers played their videos and images online

00:36and made fun of their experiences during Duterte's time.

00:41Our only call is for justice, but what they're doing is going against us.

00:47They're making fake news, manipulating our videos,

00:52the images we're holding, and saying,

00:55Today, some of the relatives of the victims of EJK were sent to the National Bureau of Investigation, or NBI,

01:01to force the unaccepted bashing on them.

01:05Among those who were sent to the NBI was Ms. Sheila, who was recently bashed online

01:10after spreading her picture holding a picture of her child.

01:14They were accompanied by human rights lawyer, Attorney Cristina Conti.

01:17They asked the NBI to help them in identifying

01:22the people who posted false information against the victims of EJK.

01:26Among what they wanted to know was the real name and address of the people who posted the fake news.

01:33According to the group, if they were able to identify these people,

01:37they would immediately file a case, like a libel.

01:41The attacks are vilification, right?

01:45They're badmouthing the people.

01:48Particularly for me, there's also red tagging,

01:51which I think, especially in the context of the time now,

01:55there's an added weight.

01:58They believe that the pro-Duterte are the ones who are attacking them.

02:03Attorney Conti also said that they already talked to some well-known vloggers

02:07that they want to sue.

02:08They appealed to the NBI.

02:10It's easy to talk to these people

02:12because there was a big negative effect of bashing on the victims of EJK.

02:17They also clarified that they will not sue the people who just shared or reacted to the fake news posts.

02:23But if they shared and gave a bad comment, they will sue them.

02:29They also argued that they will not allow Duterte to be released for the time being

02:34and they will continue to look for justice.
